Thankfully I hadn't wired the money over yet, but it was a breach of contract and I just don't care enough to bring them to court and fight for the small amount of time I wasted. I do not trust this dealership and would be very careful on what you're signing and who is asking for what.

I found them as I was traveling north up the valley and pretty much was going to give up after them if I didn't find the car I was looking for. I searched their up-to-date website that had honest pricing and no shady "call for price". I found a car I was interested in and headed there. I went in and was greeted and shown the car. I looked it over and really loved the personal touches they put on each vehicle they had (mine had a new set of rims and tires that fit perfectly with the vehicle). After test driving, rather than rush for the sale, Nate really asked questions to get to know me and explained Black Rock and their philosophy about how you should leave with a car that makes others wonder where you went, instead of a car that everyone and their mother-in-law drives (my paraphrase not his exact words). This is a small business I was glad I stumbled upon, and even happier I was able to patronize. I didn't read any of the reviews before I went in, but I wasn't surprised when I saw all the 5-stars on them. On July 9, 2024 I purchased a 1965 Ford Ranchero from Haake Motors in Layton UT. The car was a consignment sale, but I was not able to pick it up until July 28 because the dealer got their own Utah title which was not necessary (remember it was a consignment sale). It gets even better. Haake Motors never sent the title to m y home state of Nevada until November 22, 2024, four months after I picked up the car. I previously called several times asking them to send the title. Total amateurs. I was assured the car was ready to go. After all, it was represented as a great driver in it's Las Vegas home. It was clean and appeared fine, and I checked under the hood for any apparent leaks. None found. All clean. I was told the AC was fine. I started the four hour drive back to my home and realized the air was not working, but decided to continue my trip. Within 50 miles the car was overheating. Under the hood the thermostat housing and water pump gaskets were leaking, and were cleaned up before I picked the car up. The AC hose fittings at the firewall were all hand loose, so the AC was never working. I got as far as St. George and ended up having the car transported to my home, 180 miles away. It was clear this car could not have been a Las Vegas driver...no AC and water gasket leaks. I called the dealer and spoke with the salesman telling him about my plight, and asked for consideration. Nothing ever happened. No follow-up from them. No concern. Nothing. Only a botched title transfer and vehicle misrepresentation.

So after going back and forth with the service manager and working with him. I wanted to update…read morethis review. There have been issues. I won't sugar coat it. Hence the 4 stars as being honest. But resolutions have been made and there is now a level of respect that I can appreciate in a service center. I have still had some work that got messed up or completely missed and I have been still waiting to get everything resolved 100%. However saying that. If I end up keeping my beautiful truck I will come back for my service here because let's be honest. They still do a good job. I appreciate the honesty when we are able to sit down and go over everything and the resolutions also made have been very acceptable. Young is better than a lot of other slimy dealers out there. I have had and hear worse experiences from other big names in the Utah market. Young auto group I believe now is one of the better more trust worthy dealers and service departments around and I know that now more so than ever. As long as we communicate and get through things I believe their work to be good and fair. I will end with I DO recommend this dealer. I DO recommend this service center. I paid $3,000 for a warranty that barely did anything, still had to pay so much out of pocket for the new engine. They offered no help and acted like I wasn't a customer. Also went in for an oil change with them and they gave me a list of maybe 10 urgent things needed done with my car for about $4,000 and then I took it over to VW to have them check told them what happened to be thorough, VW only found one minor thing and showed proof. Would not recommend this service department or sales to anyone. Would recommend going next door to VW as they are much more precise and thorough and honest with you.
