This was in spite of his telling me he didn't think I would need it. It was the most awful pain I've ever experienced and I was basically unable to do anything much less walk. In the interim I've only seen PAs and not offered any pain assistance other than Gabapentin which has awful side effects and really doesn't help much. They do not care about anything except surgery
