He has one med that he takes three times away basically to keep his low blood pressure at a level to live. He had been out three days. Called on Thursday and Friday. They didn't tell him they had to order he told the girl this morning he had been out for three days. She said they would make certain to have it delivered by the end of Friday, today. No med. they are closed for the weekend. Not the first time but this is the most serious time. This is potentially a life or death med. a complaints needs to be made.

CVS has essentially removed the human element from the initial transaction, leaving customers to navigate a screen instead of speaking with a staff member. Key Issues: * Zero Human Interaction: There is no longer a person to greet you or answer immediate questions. If you have a concern about your medication or insurance, you are stuck behind a screen. * The process is totally inflexible. For example, I needed to make a change in one of my prescriptions, but there's no way to do that, so what I had to do was go through the entire process and eventually a staff member brought me the prescriptions, which I then had to hand back to the staff member with instructions on how I needed to modify the prescription so basically we had to repeat the entire process again. One of the prescriptions had to be undone and refilled and added about 20 minutes to my wait at the pharmacy counter. It was interesting to hear other people standing next to me using the screens commenting to each other, and to me about what a terrible process this is. I've cleaned that up a little bit for publication. This reminded me to some extent of what would happen in the corporate setting when a recent college graduate got to put his or her " brilliant new idea" into practice and roll it out to the customer. * Confusing Interface: The system forces you through a tedious series of questions that are poorly designed and counter-intuitive. * Significant Delays: What used to be a quick exchange of a name and date of birth now takes two to three times longer. The automation hasn't streamlined the process; it has added unnecessary friction. * Lack of Support: This new system feels like a punishment for the customer. It makes getting vital information extremely difficult and creates a barrier between the patient and the pharmacist. I hope management reconsider this "upgrade." Pharmacy services require a level of personal care and efficiency that a flat-panel screen simply cannot provide. And this particular pharmacy has a wonderful staff who have always provided great service.

My husband was picking up one prescription that I had already paid for and the clerk filled another that I had not wanted. He wasn't sure if I needed it or not and wanted to be on the safe side by picking it up. He was charged $80 when i usually pay four dollars. He went back within a few days trying to figure out why this had happened and they told him there was nothing they could do. I called and they said they could have swapped it out for a different plan like good RX and it would've only been $25 but it had to have been done within two weeks. Unfortunately it is now past that time, and they will not do anything. very disappointing that they would not support their customers and would happily charge $80 for something that is normally four dollars and not take responsibility for what their employees are telling their customers. Very disappointing. Walgreens assists their customers by making suggestions when they pick up their prescriptions and the cost seems out of line. CVS obviously does not do that as the manager Phuong told me today. Please be aware and consider using Walgreens if you are able.

One then transmits this info to one's doctor, asking for a substitute. On another visit for a different reason, a casual question to a different tech reveals that they are never out of drug X, and they produce a large jug of it. This now becomes a train wreck between the doctor, CVS, and the insurance company. Others common drugs one would think they would keep alot in stock, they do in fact run out of often.

The staff on the floor and at the registers have always been friendly, and several even recognize us when we walk in. However, this was my first time using the customer service desk -- and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. For months, I've been trying to find Armour Vienna Sausage - Reduced Sodium. None of the four Publix locations near me have had it in stock. Two weeks ago, I asked the cashier about it, and they suggested placing a special order at customer service. Great idea, I thought. I went to the desk, explained the situation, and the employee checked the back before offering to order a case for me. I filled out the form and was told they would call when it arrived. The next day, I stopped by again and was told it usually takes 2-3 days. Two weeks passed with no call. When I returned to ask about the order, Kristen at the desk was helpful and contacted someone named Matt to check on it. He called back and said there was no record of any order at all. As we were talking, the original employee who took my order walked in and said, "All we do is put the order in the basket -- after that it's up to them." Not exactly the kind of answer that inspires confidence. The assistant manager, David, eventually came out but didn't introduce himself until I asked. While I explained the situation, he typed on his handheld device and told me another store "might" have some, even though I had already checked. Then he asked if I wanted to place the order again. At that point, the answer was no. It's disappointing that a store known for customer service dropped the ball so completely.
