I was checking out and they over charged me. I question the total and the cashier reviewed things and fixed it. Overcharged me by $25-30. So I insert my debit card and follow the prompts. I remove my debit card as instructed. I then asked for a receipt considering they overcharged me I wanted to double check things. The cashier looks confused and finally states the transaction didn't go through and I need to reinsert my debit card. So I do and the transaction processes. Then, while standing at the register I pull up my bank account on my cell phone and there are two transactions in process. Cashier tells me I need to go to customer service. So I do just that. I'm told "it's not a Walmart issue and to take it up with your bank tomorrow". I asked them that if the two transactions actually go through and I'm charged $92 twice, what proof do I have when i come back in to Walmart in two days to dispute the second charge? Again, not their problem. I ask why my bank and I have to fix a Walmart problem and again when I return in two days and different staff is at customer service what proof do I have that I was charged twice and didn't actually go through twice with different items? Again, not their problem and to take it up with my bank. Absolutely no concern or help. What I got was attitude when I didn't just simple take their response as the proper answer. There are good Walmarts and there are bad Walmarts. This one is the pits. It is so poorly managed that they allow the delivery contractors to block customer access in the aisles when the store is open. When problems occur as a result of this customer-last arrangement, the manager (Mr. Pillsbury Doughboy) then blames the contractors instead of taking responsibility himself. They also do not respond to filed complaints. Quite simply, the character of Walmart management, employees and contractors at this store is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Not one of the better Walmart Supercenters here in The Villages. For groceries, the range of food selection isn't as nice as at other stores in the chain, and things are slightly more messy than normal for the chain. I do appreciate Walmart Supercenters for being a big place that has everything, and located on a convenient location next to a big thoroughfare. read more

Walmart has always had good prices and for that we are thankful. Selection of items can be hit or miss. Definitely not a fan of the personal shoppers that are filling online orders. Their huge carts are always in the way!! It's aggravating! Some stores are cleaner than others, but overall it's not too bad. Plant selection is very good. read more

I came to the store to visit their Optical Center at 2 pm for the purpose of having a nose pad replaced in glasses I had purchased there earlier. I found 5 people working there at the time I arrived. I asked the first associate I came to if the nose pad could be replaced. He informed me that no work could be done without the optician present, who was on break. I asked: "Does an optician have to be present to replace a nose pad?" (Incredulously) The answer was: Yes...its a state law. I asked when the optician would return, and was told in about 40 mins. I returned 45 minutes later. Still 5 people standing around doing nothing. Still no optician present. After commenting on how ridiculous it was to have the operation open, and people being paid to work, and now work could be done, including changing a nose pad, I left. I am now attempting to follow up with the store manager. If they are that constrained by state laws, they should close the facility when the optician is not present; and they should not advertise services from 6AM to 11PM when there is no services to be provided! False advertising, and not living up to standards of effective customer service. read more

The store is very clean and the staff are professional. Unfortunately, went checking out in the "10 items or less" checkout, a customer had 20 items. The associate stated that if a customer purchases cigarettes, they can have as many items as they want to check out at that register. With that, the store should move the cigarettes to a new location or change the procedure. It's not fair to those of us who don't smoke and only have 10 items. read more

I just want everyone to know... the management and the customers you serve.... it is absolutely foolish for you to close the entrance/doors by the pharmacy and make people who are often sick or infirm walk to the very other end of the store to enter your establishment. I have had a total hip replacement and am facing another one and that very long walk causes me great discomfort. It's thoughtless. My mother had been trying to reach Walmart and the auto shop on Wedgewood in the Villages for about a week, no one answered the phone every time she attempted to call. She needed an oil change and wanted to make an appointment bylut got no answer. It's really sad when a person tries to reach a store and they won't answer the phone to make an auto appt. When I asked at the auto service department about the phones the lady behind the counter shrugged her shoulders and said that phones work when they want to. How do they get service? A person has to drive to the shop and make an appointment or go to the service department inside the store to get a person to talk to. I really dont think that the store is so short staffed that they can't answer the phones. Going to another shop for service from now on. read more

Good work to Walmart Employees!! I like the fact that their is one door entrance and exit that is separated. Very good for a help with safety! We all have to work together with everything with these hard times that we are having!! Kudos! They keep up with the sanitizing! For their sake as well as others! I don't remember if they have arrows for the isles but if not they should......Don't want to many of the close passing by. But if do then that is great Its ok that a lot might be empty at least their are other stores that might have what we are looking for...I know you are getting some complaints about that and as well as someone not able to walk a certain distance. which I am sure there are ways for them.... My review & 1star is for a delivery issue. Ordered an air mattress online Day1. Said it would be delivered Day3. On Day2, it was out for delivery--how nice! I received messages early morning via text & email that my "driver Cody was on his way" and would deliver the item "by 1:17pm". Pretty specific, so I believed "Cody" would get here. Around 4pm I received another set of messages that my item "had arrived and Cody would leave it at my door no later than 1:17pm. No need to sign". Huh? It was well past 1:17, and nothing "had arrived". When I called the help line. Was told that the drIver had returned the item to the store. The delivery was cancelled, but I was assured they were locating another driver and I would receive my item. That was yesterday. Today around midday, I received messages that my ORDER was cancelled due to delivery issues. That was it. No explanation. And since the item had literally been OUT FOR DELIVERY this made no sense. What delivery person drives an item around and then returns to the store with the item?!? Needless to say I was very disappointed with the service...or lack thereof. read more

Thought I would try their pick up today got the app spent the time to put in the order. thinking what a nice way to feed my pets well was i wrong had put in for subs if needed i understand they could be out of the things I needed. Got there at the times allotted come to find out the two items i needed dog food and cat food didn't make the order no subs nothing. I spend 15 cents a page to print coupons at the library, from the Coupons.com website (the same website that has "Available at Walmart" coupons to print out. I mail them to a friend in FL to help her buy food for all the poor cats, in colonies, she feeds. She doesn't have time to shop until early AM and Walmart is only place open. They consistently refuse coupons, say they don't scan, say they are Xerox (they are printed off expensive laser writer). They even refuse coupons that come with the Sunday news. In 2017 Krazy Coupon Lady website has article: "Why I don't shop at Walmart." I thought they had improved with their coupon policy, but I guess not. read more

If I could give a zero or minus evaluation I would. Customer service is nonexistent. I bought some things this morning. When I got home I realized that 1 entire bag of items was not in my car. We had a problem with our bank card and the cashier just kept spinning the card reader back and forth and deleting the transaction. When it finally worked we were hustled out but had asked about our request for cash back. She said it must have been deleted on the first cancelled(by her) transaction. At home looked for the reading glasses... not there, looked for the pledge multi wipes...not there,looked for the trash bags...not there. He did go back for replacement reading glasses. I've tried to call the store number on the receipt five times with no answer. I guess in the hassle of checking out the bag spinner was not emptied and the items were probably given to the next person in line. I watched her put the non food items in a separate bag prior to the card reader hassle but that whole bag was not here when we got home. No way to reach a person after 5 phone calls. Watch your checker closely and spin the bag spinner yourself after paying. I've been double charged for items ( 1 item charged 2-3times) here also. Buyer beware read more

Very disappointed in Grocery Delivery and how Customer Service handled the situation, Ordered on 06/29 for a delivery on 07/02 between 3 and 4. Delivery never showed up and when I called the delivery customer service number three times, I was put on hold three times for 15 plus minutes. I even called the actual store to see if I could do "Curbside pickup" and was told the next available time slot was three days later. No Follow up, no phone call and the manager at the store was useless. Never order groceries for delivery because you will never get them. read more

The deli counter has a flat screen TV advertising The subs they make and when I asked for one I was told they don't make any. They just advertise that they do but they don't. So don't waste your time standing around waiting for someone to see that you are there at the deli counter. read more

Just moved to the area and this is now the closest Wal-Mart to us. Definitely the cleanest and friendliest Wal-Mart in Sumter County. It is best to go here when the sun goes down since most of the villagers are asleep, otherwise the place is packed. Compared to the Wal-Mart in Bushnell, this one beats it no contest. They have more items in stock when you need them and don't leave near as many empty shelves as some Wal-Marts do. My first choice for shopping hands down. read more
