I came here for Cleveland Scene Magazine's Pierogi week…read more An area of improvement would be to not charge extra for using a credit card, most people don't carry not carry cash. The food was top notch, true 5 STARS. I have eaten thousands of pierogi in my lifetime. The Slovenian Sausage was some of the best that I have ever had. It's neat how they are establishing an ethnic community around the Ukrainian church's on State Road in Parma.

The pierogis are golden to perfection. You have an option of adding onions or skipping them. I chose to skip the onions. The pierogis came with a generous amount of sour cream - 3 sides! I was very happy with the presentation. Who can say no to pierogi bucket?! In terms of the taste, I wasn't fully satisfied. Perhaps it's because I'm rating this as someone Eastern European with certain pierogi expectations. To me the dough was very well cooked. The inside (potato) tasted like it came out of a package as dry potato, which was disappointing. Pierogis tasted too bland, not enough salt or flavor. I would be much happier if they contain real potato and would be more flavorful. Still, I hope to stop by at Perla and order more to go orders. I'm especially interested in trying other options. They have Dubai pierogi which seems like such a tasty and viral idea!

I watched this awful looking dive bar transition from an eye sore in the neighborhood, to thriving bar, restaurant and small local band venue over the past 20 years. John & his wife have succeeded in turning the local eye sore into a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating serving up some amazing food. Their burgers are out of this world! The chicken wings can hold their own over many of the people that claim to fame their own. The gyro's and other Greek dishes give a real taste of the other side of the world! I'm not a drinker, but they do have a full bar both inside and outside. They offer catering and delivery for your events! The outside venue has local bands play on certain nights and has a covered, heated patio with a cast-iron stove/fireplace. The place is always clean and the service is beyond reproach! The variety of whiskeys is unparallel to any other bar we've been in Cleveland! If you're visiting from out of town and you want a quick bite to eat that satisfies the palette, make sure you stop in and say hello! A perfect meeting place before or during a Guardians, Browns or Cavs game!

As a sour dill pickle lover, I really loved the cucumber-flavor pickles. They are great for the burger -- adds even more flavor without overwhelming like some pickles can. The pickles taste how I imagine they would when only half through pickling process -- a combo of discernible cucumber with a mild dill flavor. Very nice. I was disappointed with the octopus. It was delicious and uber tender, but only one small tentacle -- not enough to share with anyone. My husband and I can share a meatball at most places but this tentacle was too small. The gnocchi that accompanied it could be a dish all its own. The gnocchi with the potato alone would make a great app. or entree. We were really impressed with the food and are looking forward to round 2.

There are tables but we opted for the bar seats. Cute place. Good decor. Lights and pictures and posters and Knick knacks around. Bartender was nice. As usual we asked a handful of questions since it's our first time here. It's is a Thursday so wing night. I got 7 wings for $13 (I think) got buffalo. They don't have a ton of sauces to choose from. I also got the waffles fries. They are homemade so that's sounds good. Fries came first. And as usual I got all the small end of the bag left overs. Not the big waffle fries. I am not sure why this always happens to me but it does. Fries are seasoned with something not sure what. They kinda got a kick. It's not bad. Just know. The wings came. The drums are huge. Flats smaller. They are decent. Not the best. Could have been crispier. Could have been saucier too. I do have to say the homemade blue cheese is really good! Kathy got the burger. She said it was good. She enjoyed it. Bun was soft, veggies good and burger well seasoned. They had a blackberry cider that Kathy got. And I got the strawberry seltzer. The seltzer was just OK. Not as much of a fan as I thought I'd be. Not enough strawberry. Too much seltzer. Overall OK experience. Prices kinda average. Happy hour is long and decent. Specials are good. I'd go back.

The menu has some standout breakfast options you don't see often around here, like loaded grits (a rare Southern find in this area). The grits were absolutely amazing--definitely my new go-to breakfast craving. The blueberry cream cheese muffin totally lived up to the hype too: moist, sweet, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the seasonal strawberry mocha. The coffee itself was smooth and well-made, though the strawberry flavor was a bit subtle. The vibe is one of the best parts--lots of seating, a mix of people working and chatting, and the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. They also host yoga twice a week (Thursdays and Sundays) and fun events like game nights, which adds to the community feel. Definitely a spot worth lingering in.

They also had a small selection of food items, and everything looked scrumptious. I ordered a spicy latte paired with a chocolate brownie (perfect choice), and the combination was comforting with just the right kick. The atmosphere is what truly sets this café apart. It's designed in a way that makes you want to stay for hours -- calm, relaxing, and easy to get lost in. I'm already looking forward to stopping by again next time I'm in the neighborhood.
