I followed every…read morerequired step to properly cancel my services: I paid off my equipment, canceled through their third-party account lender, and my new provider even submitted a cancellation letter on my behalf. After completing all of this, I reasonably believed my account was closed. That assumption changed when I was contacted about an unpaid balance after fraud was discovered on my card. When I called to investigate, I was informed that this company had continued charging me for monitoring services the entire time--even though the equipment they were supposedly monitoring had been offline since cancellation. At no point did they contact me to question this. The first representative I spoke with, Leah or Aliyah, was helpful and confirmed that my service had been canceled and that I should be receiving a refund of over $250 . However, after being transferred to the billing department, the experience deteriorated significantly. The billing representative was rude, repeatedly cut me off, and ignored what I was saying. I have now been on hold for over an hour and forty minute waiting for this issue to be resolved. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as contacting a lawyer.
