The following is a SCAM / FRAUD that has transpired. When you call Spectrum cable Co. in the Los Angeles area for technical support, previously known as Time Warner Cable Co., a group of associates with Indian accents answer the phone. This team is assigned to sell you ADT security systems. So they told me Spectrum and ADT has a premotion package for $99.99 per month, which will ensure a lower monthly payment, faster internet speed, and resolve all issues. This is SCAM as I have verified with ADT and the Spectrum Cable Co. ADT & Spectrum has confirmed that there is NO such program. There is a 3rd party company that is named "SafeStreets" that will install the ADT system. This company "SafeStreets and another one named "ON Point" creates and organizes all these SCAMS. Upon my discovery, I was able to cancel the ADT service. ADT said that I have to cancel the service w/ SafeStreets, which they have not cooperated to cancel the service unless they receive a $933.33 penalty fee. And I am thinking to myself, "What contract? I did not sign any documents?" They scammed me by not disclosing all the information. SafeStreets did not introduce themselves until the day after they came for installation. ADT company did not disclose that the company named SafeStreets will install the system and you have to sign their contract, which I did not. SafeStreets did not say you have only 3 days to cancel but yet ADT allows 30 days to cancel. Terms and conditions of both companies should be the same as ADT, if it is not a scam. The technical service person/seller used the ADT & Spectrum name that are familiar and well-known companies to meet his own goal to scam me and others. I have called ADT/SafeStreets to collect their equipment or provide me an address to mail the equipment but no success. Both companies refuse to assist and continue to passing to calls to each other. read more

A door-to-door salesman presented himself as a representative that worked with AT&T and stated they were doing a promotion to reward their existing customers. He stated ADP would be an add-on service to the existing bundle we currently have with AT&T and that it would be part of the existing billing. He did not state it would be a separate account and billing from ADP. I did not agree to the additional cost and was not even aware of the cost. When I first charged I reached out to SafeStreet to inquire about my first charge, they stated it was an error and reversed the charge. The second time it was charged, I reached out to them again, but was unsuccessful in reaching them. There was no answer to the salesperson's phone and when calling them directly, was told I would get a call back from a Supervisor. I have yet to receive that call. I requested to cancel through ADT, and was told only Safe Streets could cancel the account, however I would be responsible for two year contract of their services. read more

We decided to go with Premier Security after reading the reviews and having a conversation with Brad over the phone. I was skeptical at first because of the promotions that were going on seemed too good to be true and they partner with Safe Streets - which has horrible reviews on here, but he assured me that he was always going to be available to make sure our system was functioning as advertised and will work with us to make sure our monthly rate didn't increase dramatically and even gave me his personal cell number. Thought that was a good sign so we went ahead and signed a 2-year contract. The technicians who came out were all very polite and friendly. During our initial install, we were short the Ring doorbell and a sensor so another tech had to come out a few days later. Not a big deal. Then we noticed that one of our cameras wasn't catching motion because it was installed too far out so another tech had to come out and fix. About 1.5 months in, one of our window sensors stopped working so another tech had to come out and replace. Each time, Brad was responsive and helped with setting up the techs to come out. Recently, our hallway motion sensor just stopped working and I guess it actually stopped working for over 30 days so I contacted Brad to have another tech come out and fix. He told me his company was no longer servicing our account and that I had to call ADT directly. Obviously confused, I asked for clarification. He said his company only does initial set-ups and will only follow the customers for 90-days after install; after that, everything is managed by ADT directly. So he told me to call ADT. I did and ADT said because our account was set up by an authorized dealer, I needed to contact them. So I reached out to Brad again and told him what ADT said. He said they were incorrect to tell me that, but he will set up an appointment for a tech "to help me out". Well, his install department did call but just said it was a miscommunication and they're not coming out, even when I told them I had Brad's word. So in one morning, I found out the following that wasn't disclosed when we first signed on: - Premier Security only services accounts for 90 days. - They're only allowed to sign up new accounts; existing accounts go through ADT directly. So all the talk about keeping our rate the same after our contract is up is basically false advertisement because they don't/can't service existing accounts. We'd have to negotiate with ADT after our contract and either go month-to-month or cancel altogether. Awesome. So Premier Security is great to get you started, but be aware that you're on your own with ADT after 90-days. You don't really have a "contact" to avoid calling customer service or anything like that. read more

My husband and I switched from another carrier to ADT 90 days ago. Today we called because our system seems to have a faulty battery. As you know, they do not have standard batteries. When we booked the provider we were told everything was covered under warranty. Well today they want us to pay $25.00 for a service charge. For what? Batteries that should have been new when the system was installed. The rep said well if we come and replace the batteries you won't have to worry about them for a long time. Ummmm sir if you would have put fresh batteries in during installation we would not be worried about batteries 90 days later. Is it me? I am ‍. I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with the level of service from Brad Woodard. I did my research before I hired him for the job and we had a transparent discussion regarding my concerns about other alarm companies I've worked with in the past, and he assured me that he would be available had any issues arise. Sure enough, from the beginning after the install, my whole system didn't even work. None of the keyless fobs worked from the beginning and when I called Brad to service these issues, he stopped returning my phone calls! He still has not returned my calls to fix the problems with his install. My home and family do not have the protection that I paid for. Great company! They had the best deal and offers and trust me when I say I did my research. We had previous equipment that came with our home when we bought it that was very outdated. We had Premiere come out and I was instantly sold on the new technology they had! We got a whole new system that doesnt look like its from the 90's and got a doorbell camera as well.We have the pulse and I honestly love being able to check and do everything from my phone.The system was pretty easy to learn as well. I have been ADT customer for a little over 2 years now and unfortunately we had a horrible experience with the first "adt authorized dealer." Once my wife and I purchased our new home we were hesitant to even activate our ADT system again because how horrible the customer service was until I met John Lancaster, who is one of the owners of Premier Security. John personally came to our home and explained what programs and equipment his company had to offer. He is nothing but professional and a man of his word. A week later he had his technicians out installing our security system and cameras. John continuously texted and called me and kept me updated with any information.
