Every time I have come in for an appointment, the waiting room has been packed. They seem to have far more patients than they can handle. Since I first called them for a consult in May, I have had to schedule three separate in office visits. The first was three weeks out, to meet with a doctor for a 15 minute meeting to get a home sleep study ordered. Then I had to wait three weeks for them to call to schedule a time and say in July for a time slot to pick up the home sleep study device, and have it explained to me. After completing the sleep study protocol, I dropped off the unit, and had to once again wait several more weeks to get the results reviewed with me. Finally, in late August I got my results, and was told that a prescription would be sent to a medical equipment provider, and the provider would call me in a few more weeks. Three weeks later, when I received no call, I tried contacting Granger to get the contact info for the supplier, and verify they got the Rx. I left a message and did not hear back. A week later, I tracked down the supplier, and they helpfully checked their records and confirmed there was no Rx on file for me. I called Granger on October 1 and left a VM with all my info and asked for a return call. Nothing. I called again October 8 and left a message, again with all my info. The VM said they would get back to me in 24 to 48 business hours. Nothing. I guess I'll create an account on their patient portal and start sending things in writing. I am scheduled for a follow up appointment in November to review the telemetry from the CPAP I should have gotten in September. If I don't get someone to call me back or answer the phone I am going to be asking for my records under HIPPA and finding a provider that answers their phone. If all this seems rant-y, well, yeah, I have an untreated sleep disorder. That tends to make one irritable. However, it doesn't mean forcing people to sign up for yet another online portal account or download yet another app is good patient care or customer service.

Not impressed. They…read morewon't allow you to see a doctor, only a midlevel, and you can't switch from a midlevel to a doctor. Non clinicians (MAs) give a ton of medical advice, which is not within their scope of practice. I don't know what's wrong with the sleep disorders center, but this is the only group I've ever had problems with at Intermountain. Unprofessional, poor communication, not patient-centered. I will be switching to a different facility.

I've tried many times to get them to send the RIGHT paperwork for a preauth to my insurance but they never do, so I gave up even trying. All Dr. Thomas cares about telling patients what to eat and watch some documentary. She acts more like a nutritionist than an actual Neurologist. She NEVER listens to me when I talk about my concerns. It's not worth paying the insane about she charges just to be told what to eat. It's the biggest waste of time trying to get in and talk about actual neurological issues. PLEASE DON'T waste your time & money going to this clinic. I wish I could rate this less than a 1 star.

Very detailed in her explanations of issues with the ear and answers any questions you have without making you feel rushed. On a trip to Cuba, right after we landed, I started having trouble with my left ear. It was like when you are on a plane or when you drive up the mountain your ears plug up until the "pop" or you make them pop by yawning. I had that feeling for days. I just couldn't get my ear to pop. It was like there was water in it. After a few days I couldn't take it anymore so I had a Cuban Dr make a house call at the hotel. The Dr (through a translator) said I had wax in my ear and gave me some drops. The drops didn't help at all. As soon as I got home I saw Amanda and within seconds she pull out the wax and I felt instant relief. Why the Dr in Cuba didn't remove the wax, I don't know , but before any international travel, I always go see Amanda now for a check on my ears. I don't ever want to be that miserable again.

I had my employer at the time write a letter and submitted my appointments I had a U of U to prove I did not have any follow up appointments. I also reported them to the attorney general and reported them to the insurance I had at the time for fraud. My case was proven and this was dropped. UNTIL: I received a letter in the mail this week from a debt collector threatening if I do not pay, I will be sued. EXCUSE ME?!? I proved they lied. I proved they committed fraud and now they sold this so called debt to a debt collector. If others see this who have also been threatened. Please find a way to message me. Let's fight this together. From other reviews, I know I'm not the only one they are doing this to.

Which gives you a good guide on what to do improve health. The problem is the billing. I received a $695 (after insurance) bill, and my wife received an almost $1200 bill. If I had known I would have turned down the test. That is bad enough as is, but it gets worse! I have called about a dozen times to see if there is anything that can be done. They always say they will call me back within a couple of business days, but have called me back only once. According to them, the wrong insurance codes were used for establishing a primary care physician. They said they would call Labcorp (the company that ran the blood tests) and inform them of said codes. Ultimately reducing the bill to somewhere between $200 and $300. They said to ignore the bills I received and ignore any new ones. This appointment was back in July of 2024. It has been almost a year and no resolution. Because of this, I have called both Labcorp and my insurance. Labcorp said they never spoke to anybody from American Wellness about resubmitting new codes, and my insurance said they never received new paperwork. In closing, unless you want your household to be surprise billed for nearly $2000, and make dozens of phone calls to them/insurance/lapcorp then stay clear!

Then I received a bill that was outrageously high. When I questioned it and called over 10 times they said it was my fault since I should have asked the insurance what bloodwork was covered. Keep in mind I had no idea what they were testing for so how could I ask. They were not helpful and did not return phone calls and blamed me. Awful customer service and overall experience. It took my friend going to speak to the office manager just to get a response and not even via phone call... don't go here and go to regular hospital.
