Miguel boarders on unethically business practices. I came in for a smog check with a coupon on my phone. I put my phone on the counter with coupon and he proceed to write up the estimate for $79. I said the coupon says $28? He says "should have showed me that before I wrote this up". It's right in front of you. Silence. Are you going to honor this? More silence. Today I was trying to find a place to get my 91 Honda civic smogged and there were so many choices online. I happened to be grabbing a salad over at Gran d'or in Mountain View and noticed Premier Smog within the gas station on the corner. Wow perfect timing! So after I had my salad I drove over to Premier where I was greeted by a very professional and courteous young man. His name was Erwin and I asked him if he could do the smog on my old 91. I seen he had a few other cars in there so I was thinking it would be awhile. But to my surprise he said no problem and before I knew it he had my car in the garage and hooked up on the machine. While I was waiting I met his partner Jon who was very nice and we talked cars for a few minutes while I waited. I thought my car would not pass since it is so old but Erwin came over with the results and it passed no problem! I was very happy and not even 15 minutes or so. He pulled my car out and I was ready to be on my way. They both shook my hand (which you rarely get these days at shops) and thanked me for coming in! Now that was amazing customer service. Now I am back on the road in my 91 civic and happy. I will be recommending all my friends/family who need a smog test to come by and see Erwin and Jon. Excellent customer service! I just got my car's smog test here. I didn't time it, but 15 minutes sounds about right. Open on Sunday, which is a nice option to have. It's not much to look at - it's around back at the Coast Gasoline station, one service bay is the test facility, one (former) service bay it the waiting area. They have Wi-Fi, magazines (not all car and car-parts magazines, either), and chairs to sit on. They even gave me a $10 coupon for next time. Not sure what more I'd really want in a place. read more

Great customer service, friendly, convenient, efficient and clean. Husband and I were in a pinch on a Sunday afternoon and needed both cars to get smog-checked. One needed to be done by a star certified check. No problem at all. This is the definition of a business you don't want to deal with. Over the course of a week, I tried getting my car smogged here. Reaching them on the phone happens once in a blue moon. If you do get through, good luck on on getting them to follow up on a call or fulfill their promises. Sometimes they would hang up and then intentionally not pick up their phone after that. They list that they close at 6 pm on their own sites and others, but were gone by 5 pm. I wasted an hour driving only to see they decided not to be there even when they said they would be. I went earlier the next time and they said their machine was broken even though they told me previously that they could do the job. Another wasted 40 minutes of driving. Read other reviews, they try to scam customers and don't honor promos. One person even said their license expired. One of the worst experiences I've had and completely lost time and money wise. read more
