Joel aka Joe did our taxes, he put deductions that we had no clue about a heads up would have been nice with our consent to do so, so we know what we would get ourselves in to with the IRS. At the end of the two years we were to pay $1000 back that wasn't so the IRS came back charging us $2000 for each year. I've called Joel aka Joe back several time since 2020 and 2021, I either get messages with a certain day to sort out the issues with the Taxes or I don't get a response back at all. I've been trying to track this man down for the past 7months and nothing. I've even gone to their office and they are closed. It's a shame this place just took our money and won't follow thru. I understand ppl get busy and make mistakes but he should accept accountability for his mistakes and help us out dealing with the IRS is no joke. However on one of the returns he incorrectly deducted my entire mortgage interest which was done incorrectly. Therefore I got a fine from the IRS and he was not willing to help me with this audit although he was the one who made the mistake. I expect that an accountant would do the taxes properly with the correct paperwork received. And if they make a mistake to try to help with correcting it and dealing with the IRS which was not the case. I will say that he has always been very responsive to my emails.
