My customer treated me to the evening but I gather the tickets were £45.00 each. The entrance room at first glance is very small, I did think is this it at first! However, they use this room to offer a glass of champagne prior to going to the table. The ballroom was set for dinner and a great job had been done of dressing the room and the tables. The company I was with had three tables out of approx 30 , with a mixture of all sorts of companies. Each table had three ice buckets of assorted wines and jugs of beer were provided throughout dinner, to be fair they kept us well supplied throughout. Dinner was usual Christmas fare but I must say was very good quality which i didnt expect for this type of do. At 9.30 pm the table service stopped and a free bar was opened up. The only draw back ( and the way they get you ) is that the bar was tiny and staffed by two people only - therefore you had to queue for drinks for at least 5\10 mins. Now luckily we had several young lads in our group who saw this as a chance to chat up some of the lovely looking young ladies also in the queue. They kept the rest of us "old ones" supplied with a never ending glass of brandy. After dinner the disco started which everybody seemed to enjoy. The night was wrapped up by midnight and the usual scrum for taxis started - a great night and if I get an invite next year I would like to go again.

This is definitely NOT a Hilton property! This had to be the worst experience I've had in a very…read morelong time! Arriving after 10 hour journey to find out they have overbooked the hotel. They struggled to find rooms either here or at another property (after the disaster of a room, I'd have rather go to another hotel). I received my key after 30 mins, only to go to the room and find it occupied.... Um, thankfully they had the safety lock on or I'd have been entering someone else's space.... Can we say UNSAFE?? Another trek downstairs to be put into another room, one that smelled like it had not seen the light of day in a very long time. It was not clean, it was just awful. As this was the "very last room " I was offered another cookie.... WTF.... I don't want a cookie, I want the room that was booked and confirmed. I advised them they could rebook me in another hotel and could drive me there and pick me up in the morning so that I could join the group that all booked together, guess I'm stuck in a musty, carpet not clean, disaster to the Hilton name room. The voice on the outside that states there is video surveillance, yep, had the pleasure of listening to that every minute... that has to go!! The bathroom was far from clean and then to top it off... NO hot water! And that could be said for the entire hotel. I thought it was just my crappy accommodations, nope, my entire party on different floors all had the same experience. Um, it's freaking cold and I just wanted a hot shower! 18£ breakfast for absolutely nothing and the coffee was just acidicly gross.... Not a fan! Please get it together Hilton, as the taste in my mouth is very sour and I have been a member for a very long time! Zero recommend!

Flying into London Stansted and then taking the train into town was WAAAAYYYYYY cheaper/easier and more fun...plus this hotel is within walking distance to downtown Brentwood where you can find a number of family friendly restaurants/english bars/classic English feel! This place isn't cheap (averaging a £100 a night). The location, on Canterbury's high street, was excellent. My room was quite pleasant. The view (of a corrugated roof) wasn't exactly inspiring. Tea-making facilities are available in the room along with a few top-grade cookies and organic tea. The bed was comfortable but the height of it and the placement of the television (at a little over bed-height) when combined with my double chin made TV viewing a little uncomfortable. Poor planning. Breakfast was very nice. However, not without some problems. On the first day we went down at 10am expecting that half an hour would be plenty of time. Due to the slow service by the time our breakfast had arrived they had started clearing away the buffet items. My full English breakfast wasn't as full as it could have been. I only had one fried egg and there was no black pudding (kaszanka). Not that I am particularly fond of black pudding, but I would like to get some. I suspect I had been given someone else's break. Oh, the toast was burnt too. When I am staying in a classy hotel I expect them not to burn my toast. Breakfast on the second day was more agreeable, I arrived early to ensure I was able to take advantage of the buffet. The hotel's cocktail bar was very nice. The first night I had an egg nog and for a nightcap a banana rumba drink. Not cheap at ten pounds a shot. But, hey, I wasn't paying Checking out was a pain. The girl had trouble understanding that I wanted separate bills for each night's stay. I gave up in the end.

Plus, Patisserie Valeri across the street has some of the best pastries i've ever had. -The rooms were nice, a good size and modern. The beds were comfortable but a wee-bit narrow but nothing extreme. -The staff was O.K nothing to write home about but they are not very knowledgeable of the area but were fine overall -The restaurant looks like a complete waste of money but then again I didn't find the desire to eat there with so many options just down the street. I had the salmon, sea bream and panacotta from the set menu. My wife enjoyed the asparagus, chicken followed by lemon tart. Food is excellent, beautifully presented and service was very good, with the exception of the lady who poured our Prosecco with too much gusto! Seems harsh to knock off a whole star for this so I'm sticking with a 5 star review. Great value for the money and I'm looking forward to going back.

In the pub, there is a nice and cosy front bar as well as a larger tap room. The bar with an always good selection of local beer served directly from the barrel is sandwiched in between. The beer is superb. Across the courtyard is the hotel/restaurant. I can't really comment on this because I've only ever gone to the pub. When I was last there, a large group of Napoleonic war re-enactment enthusiasts were holding their AGM in the restaurant. Zut alors!

Beds were really comfy and a great nights sleep left me refreshed for my drive from Calais down to Dol de Bretagne. All very clean and staff at brekkie were just as nice, rushing to get plenty of food out for the guests. Basic but plentiful cooked brekkie and overall great value for money at 70-odd for four in family room. Review reflects expectations for this was selected for convenience but helpful & great staff helped and we knew it was a limited venue so don't expect the Ritz Room Tip: We were placed away from car park which helped when Americana style custom cars rally rolled up late.
