1/5 - Very disappointing experience…read more I brought my black swan, Pandora, to Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital because she was seriously ill and I was desperately trying to help her. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The prices were very high, and despite her condition, Pandora was sent home without receiving the treatment or medication I expected. She passed away approximately two hours later. What made this experience even more upsetting was that afterward, the hospital contacted me and admitted that the sample they collected could not be processed because of the swab applicator they used. They asked me to bring Pandora back to collect another sample, but by then she had already died. I paid for this test expecting it to be collected correctly the first time, especially when dealing with a critically ill animal where time matters. I also had difficulty getting the test refunded. Initially, a credit was placed on my account, and I had to request that the money actually be returned to me. The facility itself is very nice, but based on my personal experience, I was extremely disappointed with the medical care, communication, prices, and handling of Pandora's case. When someone brings in a beloved animal in an emergency, they are trusting the veterinary team to take the situation seriously and provide the best possible care. For my experience, I would rate the care 0/10. I would not bring another one of my animals here.

She watched our 5 year old cat during Christmastime while we went on a 9 day vacation. During our initial consultation she was professional while being super likable and friendly! Our cat even came out to say hello...and she never does that with strangers. We loved that she came to our house every day so our cat was in familiar surroundings. Also was great that she took in our mail and made the house look lived-in from the outside (lights and such). Every day after we were gone, she'd come to feed and play with her - and sent pictures too! It was hard for us to leave our little one but having a trusted pet-sitter was a huge relief - and the daily pics helped a lot too. We were so happy to see our kitty having a good time and excited for some attention while we were gone. I totally recommend Kim if you're in the Melbourne area!
