Dr Hernandez is excellent when you're in office with him. However if he makes a mistake on your prescription which he often does getting him to correct the mistake so that you can fill your prescription is a 4-5 day process filled with frustration on your part and an oh well shoulder shrug on the part of the receptionists who will go as far as to send him messages but not a step further even after those messages have been ignored for days they will not move to the next step of actually speaking to him to try to correct the situation. It doesn't matter if missing your prescription will cause serious medical issues they won't actually get up to help you and apparently the doctor doesn't read his messages until 3-5 days after 6-10 messages have been sent. This has happened the last 3 times I've gone to him consecutively and before that a few times as well. It's just a really frustrating experience. It leaves you feeling so crummy to be completely ignored by your doctor and depending on who you speak to at the front desk like a nuisance. It's really not ok to make a mistake and then ignore your patient for days on end - I wrote that and posted it on google reviews on Friday, it's now Monday at 5:10pm and the issue still has not been resolved. I spent part of my day waiting for calls back from the manager which never came and being told that I hadn't asked to speak to the manager but to the supervisor in charge of phone calls (I didn't know there was a "supervisor of phone calls") when I mentioned that I'd never received a call back from the manager who was on lunch. Gaslighting your patients, not ok. the supervisor of calls finally went down to speak to the doctor who told her that he'd Written the proper date although he absolutely had not. So instead of further communicating the situation to the doctor or the doctor taking a moment to look into the matter that was it. I then asked her to communicate the issue and fix the problem we were back to her telling me she would message the doctor because she wouldn't go to speak to him again. I asked to be transfered to the front desk multiple times. No answer. Was transferred to the nurses station, no answer. What is going on here? How is this possible. The rudeness by one of the receptionists is unacceptable and while Liz is pleasant its still just insane to me that this lack of any sort of effort on the behalf of the entire staff from doctors nurses and managers supervisors and receptionists is wrong. read more

The parking situation was a nightmare. I did arrive 20 min prior to the appt but couldn't find a spot where my oversized vehicle could fit. When I did walk in 5 minutes past my appointment time, they told me there were 3 people ahead of me and the wait would be 1 hour to see the doctor. I asked them to just cancel my appointment and walked out. I don't have time to wait for 60 minutes to be seen for a simple medication refill. read more

Finally done. I have never been happy with this practice. It's not the usual things like wait times always being long - I get it, things take time. It's not, that, which is annoying - it's everything else. The doctor will call you with results, but you never speak with them. They bypass a call and go straight to voicemail. (I asked about this once and was told they have no idea how to do that, but it's happened enough to know.) You will also never see your actual results/numbers, because there's a patient portal (Patient Fusion) that they ask you to sign up with, but there are no records, no messages are returned, and they don't even put in when you visited consistently. What's the point of having a medical scribe in the room or an EMR if no one uses it? I was referred to one specialist who twice cancelled my appointment and pushed it back months, and it took six weeks and two calls to get anyone at Premiere Medical to get me even a second name, because I was only given one option initially. I was seen this past December for two different things, leading to two incorrect medications being prescribed. One was a previous med that didn't work, the other had complications with other meds, and the pharmacist warned me about it (not my doctor). When I called to deal with this, it began the road to firing Premiere Medical. I left a message for the doctor with someone in the front office. Two weeks later, still with two prescriptions I could not use, I had not received a call back. When I called again, they told me there was no record of my previous message, and that I should have gotten the name of the person I spoke with because "you didn't speak with me." I was also told I had to make another appointment to talk to the doctor about any medication. Was this because my doctor was out that day? Not exactly. No doctor will talk to you at any time about a medication about an appointment, which also means there's no one covering anyone's service, which... feels like an impossibly low standard of care. The reason for this, my doctor told me at our next appointment, is that there are so many malpractice lawsuits that they need to take notes about any conversation. Why no one can take notes on a phone call, I have no idea. Again, it's not like there are any notes in the EMR/patient portal. Despite making that second appoint for the same issue/wrong prescriptions, one of my prescriptions was not filled. CVS said they couldn't fill it and that insurance wouldn't cover it. I called the office, left another message, and ultimately got a letter that CVS had contacted the doctor for more info and received nothing. So I called again today, was told my doctor was out for two weeks, and that despite it being something I have now spent countless calls and two appointments to deal with, the only solution is to book another appointment. RUDE and unprofessional. Called the morning of with a DERM emergency- made it very clear to the front desk I have a cyst on my head that is hurting me and might be infected. They said they can get me in same day which I was grateful for. They said they'll call me back to let me know whether I should come at 2 or 3, I had to call them several times up until 1 pm demanding to let me know if I can come in or not. They finally told me to come at 2:30 to see the DERMATOLOGIST. They told me to come early to fill our paperwork. I arrived at 2:07 and walked up to the front the lady sitting there goes "please have a seat I am very busy" I was shocked... I said "it's my first time here, do you need my name?" She said "you can write it down here but I'm behind on work so I need you to sit down" I wrote my name and had a seat with what seemed to be an office of 25 other people. 15 mins went by and I walked back up and said "is there some paper work I need to get started on?" She didn't even look up at me and said "I'm working on a patient referral I'll get to you when I can" Then I started to second guess if I was even in the right place... I said "can you please check and confirm that you have me on the schedule for today, I'm seeing the dermatologist" She looked at me and said "no you're not, the dermatologist is only here Tuesday and Thursday you are going to see the doctor" I was so angry- I left work and rearranged my schedule for this EMERGENCY appointment. She said "maybe you should go to urgent care if it's an emergency" - urgent care won't help me there is nothing they can do in office to drain or remedy a cyst on my HEAD!!! NEVER again. read more

Had great luck with Samantha as my PCP for years, but unfortunately I will not be returning. Angelica is okay, but does not have the same bedside manner and is not a proponent of the HAES principles. My main frustration is with the billing department. Despite having lived at the same residence for years, and successfully received mail there in the past from Premiere Medical Center, the bill for the latest appointment was addressed to an address that does not exist. The bill was issued for my annual physical because Angelica ordered blood work that did not fall in the scope of preventative care covered by insurance. I didn't receive the bill until a year after the services were rendered because it was sent to the wrong address. read more

Very poorly run organization. I've been a patient (have seen 4 different physicians) for 20 years and have finally decided enough is enough. I never get important test results, I have to call multiple times, and eventually I have to make an in-person appointment to just get the results (which is not free). I am extremely frustrated and will be finding a new office. Well past the "last straw." Yesterday, I had a prescription refilled after a mandatory in-person visit, and the pharmacy quickly notified me that my prior authorization had expired. I called the office shortly after I got home from my appointment yesterday morning to request a new authorization, and I was told it would be taken care of. However, when I checked with my insurance this morning, I found that it hadn't been submitted. After three more calls to the office today, the issue still hasn't been resolved. I am now out of medication and faced with either paying $1,300 out-of-pocket and hoping for reimbursement or waiting until at least mid-next week to get my meds. When I asked the receptionist or nurse what I should do, and whether I could go without my medication, the response was, "Do you want to schedule an appointment?" This is completely unacceptable. I don't need to be told the doctor was sent a message--I need the issue resolved. The doctor isn't performing surgery; find him between patients and let him know the urgency of the situation. I know they won't care about this review, but at least it makes me feel better knowing others may avoid this office. read more

I have been going here for years but finally can't take it anymore. Dr. Marsh is a very kind man and he clearly cares about his patients, but the administrative side of this practice is just a disaster. It took me over a week to have them finally correct a prescription issue that I called about every single day and should have been a simple fix (with one front desk employee even asking me to call the pharmacy for her while we were talking). I needed a physical and called around to see what providers had openings this week. Thankfully, I was able to see Dr. Hernandez almost immediately. At first, scheduling was a bit confusing since they require a "new patient visit" and from there the provider decides if they're able to sign off on a physical and address other concerns. A bit skeptical, I decided to go ahead and book anyways. I'm glad I did: Dr. Hernandez took care of me. :) He was pleasant and welcoming. He asked if I had any other complaints or questions and took the time to check my ears which were bugging me since last week. He even sat down, read my physical examination forms throughly and took his time filling them out. I appreciated that he actually did a general physical screening rather than ask if I was okay and sign off on them. The staff was also attentive and received me with a smile. The place itself is spacious, clean and organized. One thing I wasn't aware of was the parking situation. In order to park in their parking lot there is a $3 cash fee. Before driving up to parking lot, I did try looking for street parking but wasn't successful. I'd recommend the staff inform patients of the parking situation and explain the "new patient visit" more clearly. It's a great place with thoughtful provides so why not showcase that from the start. :) I will likely be back for all my other medical needs that can not be addressed virtually. read more

I tested positive for Covid and had to go in to the office to see Dr. Hernandez. I get isolating positive patients from others, but I had to stand in a hallway for at least 30 minutes. Stand. Do not come unless you like to get billed hundreds of dollars atf. So I had been coming here 3 years in a row and idk if they had new staff but this last visit was horrible! As someone who works in the medical field I know a lot about " getting billed atf " so at every appointment I make sure everyone I talked to takes my insurance and every procedure I get is covered by my insurance or make sure I don't have a huge copay, every single person I talked to including the dr. Said my insurance was good and fully covers I only had a 5$ copay for office visit but I got a bill of 300 ! 2 months after. I saw test billed that I wasn't even aware I was getting! I went in because a birth mark I got from being in the sun got bigger and that dr. Hernandez couldn't even see it! So he just dismissed it. I also was having pounding headaches. Did I get any useful information no. All I got was an itemized bill with over 15 test I didn't even know the dr. Had ordered, to top it off when I talked to the billing department she was so rude right off the bat she made me feel like it was so inconvenient for her to explain. I get it's not her fault the dr and staff gave me the wrong info so when I called I just wanted to verify that in my chart it shows dr actually ordered all these test and for her to explain what some of the medical codes meant on the billing side and somehow I got my awnsers after a lot of unnecessary back and forth? . Dr. Marsh is ok and don't really have a complaint about him except for when I was first getting prescriptions from him he consistently forgot to include normal codes that he shoukd know you need to fill certain prescriptions. My complaint is with the front office staff, specifically MYRA. She is rude from the beginning of ll calls to the bitter end! It's absolutely ridiculous to have to deal with anyone with such a bad attitude on a regular basis. And when I actually came in for a visit and tried to complain to Dr. Marsh, he completely dismissed me and would not listen. I thought this was a great place until I interacted with the billing department. I always call my insurance before any service to see what's covered and what's not. This place decides to bill you whenever, however, even without your permission. Just for a basic physical they tried to charge me $352 when I have insurance that covers it completely! I will not be coming back. I just tired to make a payment on my final bill so I can be done with this place and guess what? The billing department says "oh by the way you also owe $20 for a service from one year ago" that my insurance also said they covered! My insurance says I only pay a $30 copay for my last visit yet I'm stuck paying a bill quadrupole that amount. I'm not sure what goes on in their billing department but something isn't adding up. It pains me to write this review, because I really like Dr. Marsh. But the staff at this office is THE. ABSOLUTE. WORST. They make mistake after mistake after mistake. I've lost count of the errors they've made since I started going there in 2020, but here's an account of just the last two weeks: After a televisit with Dr. Marsh, he agreed to send a prescription to my pharmacy. Looking at my chart, he asked if it should be sent to Walgreens in Studio City, and I reminded him (for the umpteenth time) that no, it should be sent to Rite Aid in South Pasadena. (I have told his staff over and over and over again that I've moved, yet my chart never gets updated.) I also needed a letter from Dr. Marsh for a specific reason, which he promised to prepare. He said I needed to drop by to have blood drawn, and at that time, I was to pick up the letter. Two days later, I stopped in to have blood drawn--but no one could find the letter. And of course, Dr. Marsh wasn't in the office that day. That was a Thursday. So, the staff pledged to get the letter from him the next day (Friday), and they said they'd email it to me. Naturally, Friday came and went without a peep from anyone in the office. Monday I called the office and asked about the letter. No one knew anything about it. Of course they asked with whom I had spoken, but in an office with literally dozens of employees, I don't spend my time memorizing each one's name. When someone in a professional office looks you in the eye and says they'll do something, you sort of assume they have a system, and it will be done. But not in this office. Eventually someone promised that the letter would be sent later that afternoon (Monday). Well, that afternoon, I got a letter with instructions--in Spanish. While I love the fact that Los Angeles is multicultural, there is nothing--NOTHING--in my chart that indicates that I'm a Spanish speaker. So I had to call the office, yet again, to ask that the letter and instructions be sent in English. Again I was asked who had sent the Spanish letter. Well, how the hell should I know? The office has my email address, and someone sent the letter. Don't they keep records of who communicates with patients? I guess not. Later that day I received the letter and instructions in English. Cut to this week... The prescription that I received two weeks ago isn't working. So I asked them to ask the doctor to please send in a prescription for another medication. They said that would be no problem. Two days goes by, and I don't hear a peep. So, I called the office again to inquire, and I was told that I would receive a call. That was on a Tuesday. No one ever called on Tuesday, but early on Wednesday morning someone called and left me a voice message. And what did she say? She said the new prescription had been sent to Walgreens in Studio City . (See above.) So I had to call the office, yet again, to inform them that ONCE AGAIN they had sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy. I asked the young woman why this keeps happening when I've told them--over and over and over and over again--that I no longer live in Studio City. She said it's because my chart shows Studio City in my "history." This is the level of incompetence we're dealing with. They have NO MECHANISM for dealing with patients who move from one city (or neighborhood) to another? Really? There's NO way to indicate, on my chart, that I've moved? She said she would write on my chart, "Please do not use Studio City pharmacy." But that rang a bell: I had been told that same thing in the past--but clearly it doesn't work!! So, I asked her what can be done to PERMANENTLY change the pharmacy in my chart. She said she didn't know, so she said she'd "ask a colleague" what could be done. Seriously?! So, apparently there's no mechanism in this office for indicating a patient's preferred pharmacy. Once you use ONE pharmacy, they have NO WAY of changing it. So, if you move, all prescriptions will be sent to the OLD pharmacy, no matter how many times you tell them you've moved. The examples above are just *two* of the MANY incidents I've experienced with this office. This office is RIFE with incompetence. RIFE. The only reason I stay is because I like Dr. Marsh, but honestly, I'm getting closer and closer to throwing in the towel and finding another internist. UPDATE: Above I mentioned that a certain prescription wasn't working, so I'd asked for a different one, which they sent to the wrong pharmacy. The next day it was sent to the correct pharmacy. Today I checked with the pharmacy--only to discover that instead of a different medication, they sent in another prescription for the SAME medication that I told them ISN'T WORKING. And of course the doctor is out of the office for the rest of the week. read more

I am BUMMED to write this, because I have always like Dr. Marsh as a person and a doctor. But MAN is this place a disaster. They're almost impossible to get on the phone. It is literally impossible to hear from a doctor, even with a quick question, and there are no email addresses you can use. You have to leave word with the front desk, which would be fine if they ever passed on my messages or got back to me. Over the 3 years I was going to Dr. Marsh, this happened multiple times, and I kept hoping it would change. This last time really ended it for me. I made an appointment and paid a co-pay just to get a note from Dr. Marsh that I had had covid in the past 90 days and I was eligible to travel internationally without a covid test. When I was there, he immediately said "yes, got it, we're going to do an antibody test just so I can include that in the note." Doctors at this office don't call you with results, they leave it on an automated voicemail that you have to call in to get. That means if you have any questions on your results, there is nobody to ask. Dr. Marsh left me a message two days later saying I had a ton of antibodies and was good to go. After 7 YES 7 different times calling the front desk and speaking with different people, I never got my note. Dr. Marsh supposedly no longer knew what the note needed to say (even though I spelled it out with 3 different receptionists). I was up against the clock of leaving with my trip, and physically CRIED on the phone to another receptionist who, after SEVEN CALLS had no idea what I was talking about. I said I need you to please take responsibility for this and get me this note by tomorrow. She assured me it would be taken care of that day, and she would call me by the end of the day either way. I called back at end of day, and that woman was gone, and the next receptionist there said "well did she tell you Dr. Marsh left for vacation for a week yesterday??" After alllll that, I never got my letter, and needed to pay ANOTHER copay to go to a DIFFERENT doctor to get my note. This was 2 months ago, and I never heard from the office again. And I just got a bill in the mail for the antibody tests. Never again, and I have no idea have a medical center could possibly function this way. read more

This is one of the most poorly run medical centers in Los Angeles. They overbook every single day. Doctors leave or shorten their hours without warning. Just now I had an appointment with Dr. Hernandez for 9:45am. I left the facility at 11:15am without ever seeing the Dr. No real reason was given for the delay. He also had 3 other people behind me with appointments at 10:10, 10:30 and 10:45. My question is how in the hell can you effectively treat people in such a short amount of time. Let alone if one of those appointments goes long and screws up the whole process of your appointments in the first place. I approached the front desk 3 times and each time I was told a bullshit time that they would be calling me back and all they could say was "oh Dr. Hernandez is running behind" or "we are waiting for a room to open". Just garbage excuses. The lack of respect for the client with open and clear communication or honoring a set appointment is downright disgusting. I am glad he lost appointments today, he deserves it for both overbooking and for not being clear with his other patients. This is the norm for this place. This is not the exception to the rule. I have been burned by this crap place for far too long and as of this last visit I will never be coming back. I really Enjoyed my visit at your clinic, very convenient that all exams (EX-RAY, blood work, urine .. ) are done at same place. DR. Hernandez was incredibly nice calm and patient . The lady who took my blood was super professional, Usually I'm fainting, but this time I didn't even feel the needle, she done it in 3 seconds, no pain, I was in SHOCK how fast it happened didn't even had time to faint hahaha. I had some pain in my chest area for very long time and I always postpone the visit to the doctor because I didn't want all the hustle of the referrals to different locations to do blood works and EXRAYs and then going back to the doctor to have the results explained, with Premier Medical Center I was able to do everything at the same location within 1 hour ! honestly the staff at this place just keeps getting worse and worse . be prepared to wait hours, be treated like a number and very rudely, be charged twice on multiple occasions and gaslit about it, (billing department only works in the morning and never on Fridays by the way) have the doctor call your sister instead of you, have to advocate for yourself as you're continuously misdiagnosed, be touched inappropriately... This doctors office has put me through a health roller coaster for a year now. Do yourself a favor and get multiple opinions. Dr Hernandez has given me a death sentence. He put me on Thyroid medication without sending me to a specialist(endocrinologist). After a few months of trying levothyroxine my thyroid because normal. What he didn't disclose to me is that my cholesterol levels and other levels went through the roof increasing my risk of cardiac problems. I have suffering more than I ever have trying to balance my life for almost a year and now I have vision problems. I am 35 years old and I feel like I am dying. Patients are NOT called with important test results. This has happened too many times now and no one at this organization takes responsibility. The rude front desk operator (who put me on hold immediately when I called without even saying hello) blamed the issue on the doctors. Sad because the doctor is very good. This place is the MOST unprofessional medical center I've ever had to deal with and it all extends over scheduling, billing, and the front office staff. My advice to you is to STAY AWAY. Just go somewhere else -- ANYWHERE else. At noon on Tuesday, I made an appointment for 8 AM the NEXT DAY. I showed up for my appointment and I was told it had been made for 8AM the Tuesday I called in. I asked someone to tell me HOW I was scheduled for a time THAT HAD ALREADY PASSED! I didn't know time travel was one of the things this place offered. So, they had to "work me into the schedule" because of THEIR MISTAKE. Over an hour later, I was finally called in. Billing -- or rather OVERBILLING -- is a major issue here. If you WANT to have problems with your insurance because they're being overbilled SIGNIFICANT amounts, this is the place to go. My mother has an endless Medicare supplement insurance and they soak her over and over and over for more money than you can imagine. Her doctor tells her to come in every couple of weeks, despite the fact there is NOTHING wrong with her. He's like a sleazy auto mechanic, convincing her there's something that needs checking on, because she adores the attention and will fall for anything. If he tells her there's something wrong, especially if they offer her a chance to go to the hospital where she's waited on hand and foot, you can hear the cash register ringing like a slot machine. Over the last ten years I've been going here, I have seen the doctors offer some scam-like products and services. Want to "lose weight"? Gee, you can get injections of the urine from pregnant women, or vitamin injections, or buy as many bottles of vitamins that you can carry out the door. They are truly kind professionals here. It is also true that they went through a transformation period after moving from Burbank to North Hollywood. The quality of their medical services is and has always been very high in my opinion. During my last visit there, I interacted with very proficient medical staff (nurses, technicians and doctors) who really knew what they were doing. I have been a patient of Dr Marsh for about 13 years or more. I was referred to Dr Marsh by an RN at Providence Hospital in Burbank, CA. Today in these extremely difficult times for all medical professionals during this novel Pandemic. I called needing an appointment in late February or early March 2020. I had some of the symptoms of Covid. I was able to have an appointment with Dr Marsh right away. I was told by my friends that they weren't able to get tested for the Covid virus by their doctors. But I was pleasantly surprised that Dr Marsh had me tested right there in the office that very same day. I have seen many doctors over the past 60 years and now that I have been treated by both Dr Marsh and Dr Hernandez they truly care about you as their patient. I've been to other offices where the doctors treat you like you are just a number and they don't have time for you. Thankfully I haven't had this problem with Dr Marsh or Dr Hernandez. Besides the excellent and caring medical care that I have received the office has moved to a new location on Vineland Ave. This new location is very easy to access and parking is abundant. Much better than the offices and limited parking and traffic across the street from Providence St.Josep's Medical Center on Buena Vista. read more

I LOVE dr. Hernandez!!!! But this is a 3 star review because the billing department at premiere medical center is a NIGHTMARE!!!! They are extremely unorganized and don't keep proper records. It seems as if you keep getting transferred to different people and no one is on the same page. My mom and I both go there and our statements look different. Her balance never goes down which is shady because she pays in cash. (Yes I know that's not the safest, but she is also a different generation and cash or not they should be trustworthy that it does go towards the balance). Other than that, the office is easy and convenient other than the parking but it's LA so parking sucks everywhere. read more

Been going here since before they moved locations and everyone is nice, but I always wait over 20-30 minutes no matter how early i arrive but this time was just ridiculous. They scheduled me and another patient for 3:30- I came to find this out upon him arriving and checking in over 10 minutes late!! He strolls in at 3:40 and I hear him say "I have an appointment with ( My Drs. Name) at 3:30" I was like.....how are we both scheduled at the same effing time?! I checked in at 3:20 (had to sit and wait and he was still called BEFORE ME!!! So I ended up waiting until 4 to actually see my Dr. Lack of proper planning and organization on their part!! I had a body rash and fever when I left my home and they didn't even bother to take my temperature upon entering the waiting room...so I sat with other patients in the waiting room for over 40 minutes with what could have been a contagious matter for all they knew!! All they had to do is schedule me for 4 instead of a double booked time!! Then on top of that....my Dr. comes in for maybe 5 minutes (less actually) and can't even give me any explanation of what the rash might be, SO - I MAKE POSSIBLE SUGGESTIONS and he nods and says "oh, yea, maybe" I'll give you a steroid shot" doesn't tell me anything else ads far as how to treat it, if I should come back...what if it doesn't go away? I suggest food allergies? And request a celiac so test- (I've been dealing with some food reaction issues for a few months now) he says "ok, we'll draw blood today for testing" then he pretty much writes on his notes and walks out.... Nurse comes in, says "we're drawing blood for celiac testing " I ask about the steroid shot...she says "The Dr. didn't say anything about a shot" I tell her "he wrote it down...I'm covered in a rash!" She looks and sees it in his notes but he forgot to tell her to also give me the shot...so she leaves to get one. I get the shot....leave and the rash remains for another 2 days...I got a second opinion and she said "just try a Benadryl and try maybe rewashing your bedding, etc. with a sensitive skin detergent to see if maybe it's a reaction to something scented you possibly used that your skin may not like" So I did....and it cleared up in a day.... Ridiculous...Need to switch my medical location and Dr. asap read more

Premier medical center is the place to go for your health! From the moment i checked in at the front, till the time left the office. Front desk girls are very sweet and were able to help me with questions about my insurance. The nurses in the back very sweet and also able to answer my questions about my visit. Lastly, Dr. Marsh and the other providers are amazing! I feel so good coming to any of them when it comes to my health. I will be here for a long time coming. read more

I wish there was 1/4 a star to give them. Seriously. SADLY, this office staff is the face of the business AND the doctors. The girls in the front are unwelcoming, rude and most of all unhelpful. I can only imagine most patients that walk in are just as sick as I am and we have to walk into a hostile environment. If my review is truly honest, I can't say all the girls in the front are rude but MOST of them are and you can tell which ones are right off the bat. Horrible experience. Rude Staff. read more

If you like wasting your time go here. I don't think they have had any bias training either. I wasn't able to be helped and they didn't ask the right questions to help me. They ended up making me think I had zero medical records period. As a cancer patient this is intensely triggering.
