My business used Premium Sign Solutions to make a painted, plastic Lobby Sign. Our company was forced to use Premium Sign Solution (PSS) due to our initial vendor extending their lead time beyond what was acceptable to us. An initial image was sent to PSS as part of our RFQ. The image was later updated based on the request of PSS to have wider features making it easier to manufacture. Two months later, we hired a graphic artist that made these changes in addition to making all lines equally spaced and perfectly straight. This new image was approved by Chris O'Connel, the company president and a Purchase Order for the sign was issued. When the purchase order was emailed to PSS this updated image was sent along with it. A greatly reduced sized image was sent to us as a Proof. I checked spelling, colors and text spacing before approving the proof. The image was too small to catch little image details. I thought that PSS would be using the image which they approved and we sent along with the Purchase Order. Once the sign was installed in our lobby I noticed that spacing was off, lines were not straight and there were other noticeable issues. After doing some investigation we discovered that the PSS graphic artist used the original image that was sent as part of our initial contact with PSS. They did NOT use the image that we had corrected and enhanced based on the request of PSS. They did NOT use the image that Chris, the company president had reviewed and accepted which was emailed to them along with the PO. When I complained about this issue to PSS they were being extremely sneeky about the issue. Stating they used the image from the Proof. Their exact words were: "We used the correct image". I repetitively pointed out they did not use the image which Chris had accepted and was sent along with the PO. They never admitted to using the incorrect image in the proof. They never apologized for the mix up, which was a clear miscommunication on their end. I would strongly suggest not using Premium Sign Solutions. If you are forced to use them, please magnify the image in your proof and review every little detail about the image.
