Okay so I know this place seems really bad from the reviews, and I don't doubt those interactions but I can only speak from mine. I got referred here and upon entering it was kind of chaotic, but everyone was nice and very straight forward with wait times. My appointment was 11:15 AM. I arrived at 11:14, gave my ID and insurance. I was seen at 11:45 am by 3 medical students in training, which I did not mind because they took their time and were very very thorough. They asked about all of my symptoms and genuinely cared about my lifestyle and what could be causing my issues. When the doctor came in, based on these reviews I thought maybe I was in for a bad experience but he came in with the med students and was asking me questions, making sure they had asked them for patient care/quality. He was very straight forward, I think maybe that's where people have an issue. His bedside manner isn't the best, but he is very smart and knows what tests to do depending on your symptoms. 4 stars because the office could be more clean, and maybe smell better lol. But overall, I had an above par experience and I hope you guys to do. Give it a shot & if you don't like it, have your doctor refer you to someone else! read more

My experience with Dr. Matris and his staff has been mixed. I was referred in November and saw him in December, and he suggested imaging. However, due to a lack of timely follow-up by the staff, the authorization wasn't requested until March. I finally got the MRI in May, but since then, I can't get a follow-up appointment--no one is returning my calls. It's been a frustrating process, and I hope they improve their communication. The staff is rude, the waiting area is dirty and it smells. The restroom had poop smeared, no toilet paper and no paper towels. The doctor was alright, but he doesn't make up for all of the above. When I told the girl at the desk (the one checking out and giving the next appointment) that she was rude, she told me she returned my energy. I had gone in because I had been trying to get a hold of them whole morning and I couldn't (it was about 3pm when i went in). I would call and pressed every option and yet didn't het a hold of anyone or had a human answer my call. So, yes, I was frustrated!! This place is atrocious. They overbook appointments, never answer the phones, don't call back during business hours, make you wait 1 hr+ after check in, then some more in the exam room. They are SO unprofessional. I get nothing but 5 minutes with the doctor in exchange for my $90 copay. The receptionistsfor Dr. Mitri are useless to patients, they only help the doctor. It's like everyone there is for the doctors and not the patients. I feel so bad for the patients I see coming in because it's just not fair to get such subpar service. This place is the perfect Quack experience. It's starts with waiting in the lobby for about an hour. Then when called to be seen by the doctor, it's 45 minutes. I'm not remotely happy with this office. I have to travel pretty far to see a neurologist that's with me for no more than 5 minutes and doesn't address any of my concerns. I have to wait months to be seen just to get them to fix a mistake they made with my medication....and then they didn't fix it. Getting a hold of SOMEONE, literally anyone, is next to impossible. I've called the office about a dozen times today alone trying to get through and every option on their menu ends in a disconnect. It's 11:30am, they've been open for 3 hours and I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone. I received a confirmation call on Friday 4/11 by an employee that was very difficult to understand. She claimed my appointment was on Saturday morning instead of Monday. Nope, she obviously can't read either. I apologize if this review makes me sound catty or rude, but to be told the wait can be 3-4 hours from your appointment time depending on how busy it is, is rather infuriating. To make matters worse, the place is filthy. One room where patients are taken to have their weight and blood pressure recorded is FILLED with old electronics crammed onto one side of the room. The trash cans and chairs are dirty as well. The waiting room is absolutely full and there is not enough chairs for the patients waiting for their appointments. Wait a second....there are 28 chairs and every single one is filled yet there are six people standing & only 3 doctors. I don't know what kind of idiot designed their work flow but it is a nightmare. I feel bad for the workers that have to deal with this asinine system that some idiot came up with. I don't associate with yelp since I'm not a fan of their company, but I had to make this account to share my great experience. I have an auto immune illness that has caused me to deal with permanent nerve damage. At only 32, I feel like I'm in the body of someone twice my age. My experience since 2018 has been heartbreaking. After waiting for over 3 years to reach full recovery, I unfortunately was not able to reach that point and am still dealing with major weakness and issues. I was referred to this clinic by my neurologist about a month ago. After reading the reviews and YouTubing what the process of nerve testing would be like, I was left pretty traumatized. The moment I walked into this office, my fears dropped a bit. The staff was nice, patient, and professional. I only waited for about 10/15 min to be called in by the doctor after arriving for my 9am appointment. I shared with Dr.Mitri that I have needle phobia and am terrified of the process. He was SO KIND AND UNDERSTANDING. I'm getting emotional typing this. He assured me that it was going to be much quicker and easier than I assumed and he was right. He completely calmed me down and put me at ease all around. A doctor with a pure heart is a doctor you want to turn to in times of need. When I read yelp reviews I was concerned, however when I called to make my very first appointment, and when I came in for my very first appointment, everything was fine and I thought oh not so bad. Wrong wrong wrong wrong. It takes endless amount of phone calls. Nobody answers. nobody calls back I even had to have my PCP call they couldn't get through either, after two weeks of calling leaving messages I had to drive in to confirm when my appointment is if I missed it if it was the same day and was told unfortunately we don't have people to answer the phones. I asked so people just need to drive in if they need anything? Her reply was "something like that" I had to make yet another appointment to get results for my EEG test. They don't have people to answer the phones to help patients and everyone who's paying through insurance or otherwise maybe they should hire somebody and maybe may could call back patients when there are numerous voicemails left.
