If I could give 0 stars I would. After collecting medical records from two hospitals and giving them to my doctor to get to Dr. Mansour , his assistant called to tell me the doctor had reviewed my reports and based on them, he suspects I have MS. She then gave me information for another Neurologist . I think it's very unprofessional to give a suspected diagnosis without seeing the patient . Also very unprofessional to give another neurologists information that they believe could diagnose this . As a mother of 4, currently 3 months post partum , that phone conversation stressed me out and left me extremely anxious . read more

Mistreatment of Spanish speaking patients. Maria who is the translator will not return calls. My mom had an appointment and was very upset about how she was treated, had an appointment and everyone else was being called when she asked Maria said she would not be seen, because she had not shown up to her previous appointment. My mom explained she had had car problems and had left her several messages about missing the appointment, but Maria said she had not gotten them. My mom was upset because she couldn't even complain about the mistreatment because Maria is the one that does all the translating. Very bad treatment of patients by the front office staff. read more

I should have read the reviews before attempting to make an appointment. Although some of these reviews are old nothing has changed with the office staff. I never saw the doctor but either way the reviews aren't great. It's almost impossible to get a live person. I called and attempted to make an appointment back in May. After several messages to Maria, she dignifies herself to call me back a month later. Explains the paperwork has to be screened by Dr. Mansour prior to scheduling an appointment. I ask when I should hear back, she says about 2 weeks, well it was more like over two months. I didn't get to pick up her call so she leaves a message. I called her back and states she can't make an appointment because it's been too long since the initial referral and I have to start all over again and I have to do the legwork and have my doctor send that information again. She stated she doesn't know about dates because they don't keep that information. Well guess what I'm a date tracker so I know how long you took to respond. Boy times have changed in the healthcare field. A while ago when I worked for some of the most wonderful general surgeons and was in Maria's shoes that was unheard of and unacceptable, as a medical front or back office, it was our responsibility to obtain medical information for any future appointments, as these were our future patients and referrals we're important. And don't bother with speaking to a "supervisor" Diana Hanson, the supervisor, is just too busy or too good to give a courtesy call back. They'll just refuse to see you after giving you the runaround for 3 months. I guess it's just easier than trying to justify their employee's unprofessional behavior and the office's known long history of lack of courtesy to patients. read more

We really like Dr. Mansour. His office staff on the other hand... Not sure where to begin, so I'll try to be brief, but that's a tough task with this group. It all boils down to communication... or, rather, a lack of it. If you call, the phone rings about 20 times before someone picks up. When they pick up it's a very simple "doctor" answer. Wtf? Who answers the phone like this? They don't even listen when I speak. Probably too busy gazing at Academy Awards winners on their computer screen as I witnessed in their office earlier this year. Sometimes I call and it goes right to an automated voice message system with a voicemail inbox "that has not been set up." W.T.F. I could mention names and encounters that, but I always complain to businesses first and save those details for the person in charge. At this point in time, my husband has one of the best health insurances, medical groups, AND home-delivery prescription services around. I know this because I deal directly with them and they do everything as quickly and efficiently as possible. I already mentioned the phone service with this place. When you're in person, it's even more underwhelming - aside from the exceptionally great bedside services from Dr. Mansour. You're not greeted when you walk in. Barely acknowledged when you're at the sign-in sheet. Maybe this isn't a big deal, but I just learned through an email from our home delivery pharmacy that one of my husband's prescriptions has been changed to a generic brand. I'm all for cheaper drugs, however, Dr. Mansour said this would NOT happen. Again, no communication from anyone from his office about this. Don't you agree that office staff members should be held in the same regards as your physician? Especially if you deal more with them on a regular basis than the actual doctor? read more

I got a disturbing report from my grandmother who went to go to see Dr. Khalifa today and was so mistreated that she had to be turned away. My Grandmother is very old, she is 84 and cannot read or write very well, english is not her first language and it is very hard for her. Her caretaker took her to see the doctor, who also doesn't speak english at all, and received zero help from the front Desk lady Diane. She was listening to music with her ear buds in when they were trying to talk to her. And because both the care taker and my grandmother could not speak english very well they could not understand how to fill out the paperwork and refused to give my grandmother any assistance. On top of this, Diane STARTED TALKING ABOUT HER right in front of my grandmothers face in spanish, which both the caretaker and my grandmother know. She was so embarrassed, so insulted, and unable to fill out the paperwork that she left and was not able to see the doctor. Diane, if you're reading this, how dare you turn away a sick old women and talk about her in her face and so insultingly refuse to help her? How do you sleep at night? Your racism and behavior was noticed today. This report from my grandmother made me sick. Dr. Khalifa, I implore you to correct the behavior of your Front desk staff. Im sure you're unaware of the scathing mistreatment of your patients due to the incompetence of those representing you. Im sure you're a great doctor, but unfortunately my grandmother wouldn't know, because we were turned away. read more

My parent was referred here after a stroke. I was grateful to have an explanation for what damage had been done by the stroke, but the after care and future treatment was non existent. The Dr. did repeated tests for memory occurring every few months, but nothing was discussed about the decline and what we might be facing. When my parent was convinced there was improvement and requested a new MRI, Dr. Mansour declined, stating He could do nothing more and dropped my parent as a patient. Now my parent is in declining Dementia and refuses to believe this diagnosis. Dr. Mansour did not provide care or honesty. His only interest seemed to be for repeated tests for insurance to cover and line his pockets. read more

Worst customer service here the staff is so lazy and they never receive the information they need all faxes get lost they don't have time to go and look and when I asked for them to call my doctor and request the information that has been sent to them several times they told me to ask my primary doctor to refer me somewhere else because they don't have time to call and ask for the documents they continue to loose. read more

I usually do not complain, but my mother had the worst experience with this office. They were so rude to an 84 year old woman in a wheel chair. They were so uninterested in helping her, insulting and were talking about her in Spanish right in front of her... so rude! She ended up walking out and never even saw the doctor. I didn't have a chance to sit with my Father when he visited the Doctor but I can say through repeated phone calls that the staff is a SUPER MESS. OMG! Lost the file several times and don't return calls. They must smoke a lot of weed in Downey because these folks are as organized as drunk second graders. They are super disorganized and careless. YES! I feel very fortunate to have an appt.!!! We found Dr Mansour to be extremely compassionate and genuine. I brought a friend who could barely speak or walk into his office, I doubted anything could be done. After looking at her tests, he was able to diagnose her with Parkinson's. He knew immediately which medication she needed. She is now walking and talking better than any of us could imagine! Here is my point-My friend now has a quality of life she never would have had were it not for Doctor Mansour. We are grateful to this brilliant doctor..he has changed my friends life! read more

Went to Dr. Mansour for almost 2 years. Sadly he does not care about his patients! When I questioned him on the medicine he had me on and about a MRI I requested he was rude and told me " I'm not an Eastern Medicine Doctor, I don't make miracles happen" I was shocked! He was even rude to my husband who just had questions about the medicine he was prescribing! Needless to say I have NOT gone back and have since found an amazing Doctor in Long Beach! I'm a new patient and have been trying to make an appointment for one whole week. I keep getting transferred to the Dr's assistant's voicemail, I've left about 5 messages with no call back. What is going on???? Worst service ever. I've called my insurance and asked to be referred to another office. The absolute worst service! Their after hours answering service is also terrible. I loooooooooooove my Doctor. He is so amazing. He listens to everything I have to say and He goes at My pace when explaining things. He does not leave anything out and will turn any and every stone to find what is causing my health issues. He is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met and I have met sooooo many doctors. I truly was blessed to choose him over any other neurologist. I love his team too, they are so helpful and attentive. I have faith that he will find a way to alleviate or manage my pain. My mom was referred to Dr Mansour and began some testing in Nov. In Jan, so was diagnosed with advanced dementia. At this point, I found the doctor to be fine and the office staff was ok. A couple of weeks later, I realize my mom should qualify for home-health. I wonder "why wouldn't they have mentioned this to me." I have a home health provider reach out to get the doctor's approval. Weeks go by and the home health person says "I think I'm bugging them, they are not happy when I call." So I call, because their happiness is not my priority. They tell me it takes weeks for the doctor to review. I remind them, it's been weeks. Before I know it, Covid-19 hits, but my mom is supposed to have a apt to have her initial dose of meds reviewed and adjusted. I leave multiple messages, and nothing. Never heard back re: home health, apt, nothing. It's like they packed up and fell off the face of the earth. I call her Primary physician and he signs off on home health the same day and refers me to a list of doctors I found at UCLA who immediately agree to schedule her for a virtual apt and review her meds. Not all doctors and practices are created equal and this one is sub-par. read more

Dr. Khalifa Mansour has relocated to 8043 2nd St, suite 105, Downey, CA, 90241-3621. This is my second time visiting this office and I have to say they have worst customer service. Diane the receptionist is the worst. She makes fun of patients when they call (after she hands up), makes faces when you try to ask her question and answers in a sarcastic tone. Very unprofessional, I hope someone reads this so she could get a reality check. For Diane, if you you can't work with people maybe it's time to find a different job for yourself.
