The service there was so bad the doctor herself doesn't really look at you just the scans and tells you a quick diagnosis and says you should go to a big hospital and then takes the copayment. It took forever to even get a hold of someone from reception to make an appointment and when I went in person she barely had any patients waiting for her. All in all I had to change my referral to another doctor. This doctor doesn't seem to care or take the patients seriously. read more

This review is long over due! How can I forget to give a shout out to my awesome neurologist, Dr. Moksha Ranasinghe and her staffs. Lower back problems returned and I had a very difficult time walking, standing, sitting, and laying down... total pain. Had a laminectomy L4 on 2016 sadly to say as the year progressed and aging comes with it, the problem came back with a vengeance. Checked in at ER, MRI performed, pain meds given and prescribed and referred back to my primary care to sending me to a neurologist which I checked out who this specialist is and met with her. She studied my history and we worked on a plan... physical therapy. PT was no longer helping. She explained treatment (pros and cons) versus surgery. I chose surgery and trusted her with my life because I still want to enjoy the best quality of living. She did laminectomy on my L4 ( she had to work in this section again because there was so much scarring from the last surgery), Laminectomy on my L5 and spinal fusion S1-L5, 6 screws and 2 rods. The surgery was a success and now in recovery. I am still under her care (physical Theraphy and 9 months of osteogenesis bone stimulator treatment) until she releases me making sure everything is well. Dr. Moksha Ranasinghe has expertise in treating spinal fusion, neck pain and spine problems, among other conditions. Kudos to her office staff who makes sure that my schedule appointments are followed and all the referred visits that Dr. Renanasinghe requires of my needs are done and met. My mom was in pain for months due to the sciatic nerve, tried everything from heat/cold therapy, physical therapy, patches, meds, herbs, and pain got worst, day and night. Finally got referred to Dr. Ranasinghe and the day of the appointment, we almost couldn't make it due to the excruciating pain my mom had on her leg. Doctor mentioned two options but my mom thought surgery was the most effective one. My mom is 79 yrs old and we had some fear of the surgery and anesthesia but thank God, the doctor explained everything and she made us trust her. Her knowledge, professionalism, caring of patients, acting fast, and just being there for us made my mom smile and be pain free again. That day, she told me "if you drive your mom to emergency right now, at Hollywood Presbyterian, tell them I sent you, I can do the surgery if she is cleared by Monday". Her appt. Was Thursday. She knew what she was saying. Hospital staff and stay was amazing, her office staff is awesome because they care for you just like her. Simply, the best. From the first time I met Dr. Ranasinghe my whole world has changed for the better. Of course, initially I was scared out of my mind but her calming presence and demeanor helped me and the rest is history. She told me what, when and where and assured everything would be okay if I would slow down and be patient. One more X-ray and this should be a done deal. I visit this place on the 11 of December and Moksha said she would send me to a pain management specialist. Weeks passed and nothing was ever sent to me or my primary doctor. I called back 2 weeks later and Irene the "supervisor" said she forgot to send out the referral so she was going to do it that day, I asked her to please call me back once it's been sent due to it is urgent. She said date couldn't but she will send it to my primary. No one ever called me it's been more than a month and I still have not gotten a referral for the pain management. I called my primary they have not received anything. This facility is refusing to help because I left a bad review about the facility being unsanitized. I'm only saying the truth and now they are refusing to help me. This is the worst clinic ever. I will be calling my insurance. The care of this office is not okay. They also erased the video showing how unsanitized the room I was in was. That only proves that they know that the facility is dirty and they're not doing anything to clean. read more

When I had neck whiplash from a fall, I went to see Dr Ranasinghe because of all the glowing reviews on this page. When we met, I felt that she was rushing me and discouraged my questions, but remembering the reviews, I thought that it was just a specially busy day. OK. But then when she referred me for an MRI at a facility that had reported that I had no gall bladder when I knew for sure I had one, I asked her to let me choose the provider, but she insisted. So I had to go to my HMO and ask them to change the provider. This was back in September 2023. Finally in March 2024 I manage to get an MRI (long wait due to my HMO = Anthem, not Dr Ranasinghe's fault) and make an appointment to see Dr Ranasinghe. The day before my appointment, her office calls and says she won't be able to see me because of an emergency. OK, doctors do have emergencies, so I reschedule. On the day of my new appointment, they call again and say she has an emergency, so we reschedule two weeks later, to July 15. But on that day they call again to say I have to reschedule again because the Dr has another emergency. It was at this point that I balked. Here are two things to bear in mind, in my opinion: (1) If a surgeon keeps having so many patient emergencies, it means she did not do the job right the first time; and (2) Instead of going to see Dr Ranasinghe who, like an airline, is clearly overbooked, I suggest you go to someone else who is really committed to delivering health care, not maximizing the number of patients. read more

About three years ago I was just working in my yard when I suddenly cracked three vertebrates in my back. The pain was a strong 10 . I went to see my doctor and all he did was start sending me to several different doctors who all did little or nothing for me. This took nine months and I had so much pain that I could not drive or do anything at home. I had family drive me and by then I could hardly walk and lost a lot of weight. Then a doctor Wang sent me to see Dr Ranasinghe . She took one look at me and ordered a M R I and there other tests. In a matter of three weeks she has had me in the hospital where she operated on my back. Two days later I was back home and the pain was about a 6 . It has taken some time because I did cracked two more vertebrates that she fixed also and now my pain is a 2 level and I'm feeling great. In time I think it will go away. I also want to tell you that the two women who work in the office are extremely good at what they do and made sure that I got my appointments as soon as possible. The office staff is very unorganized. I had an appointment and called ahead of time & asked if I needed to bring my MRI results and the clerk said no. Then when I arrived she said she never said that & I had to drive 20mins away to get the results. Then my next appointment was scheduled at 10:30 I arrived at10:28. They took over an hour to see me. When I ask the clerk why is it taking so long (at 11:15) she says the doctor just got in. Why would you schedule an appointment knowing the doctor isn't even going to be in at the time it's scheduled. This is ridiculous I will not be returning. The clerk clearly doesn't know what she is doing. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because Dr Ranansinghe does seem to care & be a great doctor way better than most places I have been. read more

I have had many different health issues in the last few years. I have met with many different doctors. Most are good. Some are very good. Dr. Ranasinghe is in a category all by herself. She is by far the best Dr. that I have ever seen. I came to her with the worst pain I have ever had. I had pain radiating down my left leg that was unbearable. She found that I had 2 separate problems with my spine(1 from a recent injury and 1 from something that happened over 20 years ago)by taking the time to listen to me and understanding that the pain I was having was caused by more than 1 problem in my back.
