Keep in mind the tuition fee here is not cheap. The owner insulted me and threatened me to bring down the review because it brought down his overall review or he would kick her out of school. Dig deeper you will find another bad review about this school on yelps, maybe they can't delete it on there! It didn't stop there. A month later after I moved my 4 years old daughter to different school she told me a story at her old school that her teacher told her if she wouldn't eat with her mouth close she would duct tape her mouth under the carport. I hope my long experience can educate other interested parents about how special this school is for us. I like this facility because it is a family-oriented Montessori school and unique in many ways. Both directors are very experienced in this field. They work hard to be on top of every issue at their school, which gives you a good feeling when you go there every day as a parent. The place is always clean and organized. the staff Ms. Maria, Nina, Holly, Karen ....are very friendly and caring. The management is truly committed to providing your child with a safe, fun, and loving environment throughout the year, especially their summer amp is really unique. I'm grateful for their hours as well, it is important since not everyone worked a 9am to 5 pm job. The days that the school is closed are minimal, and you have the calendar schedule in advance. one of my favorite moments was when I dropped off my little one, she turned around and said bye mommy, and made her way to her class. Looking back on our experience, there is absolutely no question in my mind that the 2+ years we spent with St. Christopher's were the best for not only our boys (now 5- & 6-years old), but our whole family. From the smart, personable, and observant teachers, to the diverse (international!) feel of the community, to the bright & welcoming atmosphere created by Becky and the front desk staff, St. Christopher's truly raised the bar for our expectations of a school & faculty. Prior to finding St. Christopher's, our boys had attended both Montessori and non-Montessori schools in the White Rock Lake/Lake Highlands areas, and they've attended 3 other schools (1 Montessori, 1 public, and 1 private) in Dallas & Rowlett since. Being a part of so many different schools (not all of which were bad, by the way!) has taught us to appreciate the "small" things (hygiene!, front desk friendliness, student diversity, parental involvement) as well as the "big" things (safety/security, curriculum, communication, caring & nurturing atmosphere). St. Christopher's gave us all of those things and then some. As parents, we always felt welcome, and we rested assured knowing that our children were being exposed to cool neat things (languages, art, etc.) and ideas by people who cared about them & their respective development (our boys are pretty different from one another!). When my wife & I finally settled down in Rowlett (20 miles east of Dallas), our biggest regret was that we'd have to leave St. Christopher's - and even then, we made the daily 2-hour commute until we couldn't take it anymore. If you have the opportunity to send your kids here, I truly can't recommend it highly enough. It's the best, most nurturing and inspiring school we came across. My child suffered from a debilitating disease that made him allergic to almost every single food, and Mrs. K and her staff could not have been more accommodating. To say they went "above and beyond" would be an understatement. They provided my child with a "special" table that was just his and made a big deal about his "special" food to make him feel important and not like an outcast. They've been not only accommodating, but instrumental to his his health and well being as the level of care and compassion they've shown my son has been unparalleled. Not only that, but he has improved significantly in his education since the daycare he was in previously. He came home singing ZYX instead of ABC at three! The campus is clean, SO cute and fun, welcoming and warm. They have fantastic events involving friends and family. I feel so lucky that we found FI when we moved to richardson. It really is a gem. I could not say enough good things.

I believe that some changes have been made regarding some of the complaints I see in these older reviews. Most importantly, our daughter loves the school. She is so excited to see her friends and teachers every day. I have never once had any concern that she was being mistreated in any way. When she was younger, we sent her to Bright Horizons daycare which was horrendous compared to NCMA. We get a daily paper report about our daughter's activities and interactions. I do appreciate that the teachers take the time to hand-write these notes everyday but I would prefer some sort of app to save paper and also see photos. The only other thing that I could possibly complain about is the playground for the younger children which, in my opinion, is a little too safe and could use something for the children to climb on and slide down. However, some may not see this as a bad thing. The school uses organic produce and milk (meat is conventional) and we were allowed to see the kitchen when touring the school. Also when touring the school, I was impressed that the director knew every child's name and greeted each warmly. During our tour, we were shown all of the classrooms and I was especially impressed with the infant room which was very quiet and quite different from most other daycares that I have toured with crying babies everywhere. I really liked that sleeping babies were given a quiet area to nap unlike a lot of other daycares where they are expected to sleep in noisy classrooms. Whenever I have had a question or concern, a meeting has been arranged with our daughter's teacher within 24 hours. Overall we are very pleased with NCMA and we are planning on enrolling our youngest soon.

When I brought this to the attention of the staff they were extremely uncooperative. I was advised by the teacher (Ms. Peace and Ms. Lupita) and the administrators (Heather/Caitlyn) they were under strict orders to not access any cameras and only the head of the school could see them. I reported this immediately to the head of the school/owner, Fahima Rouabah, she ignored my concerns and failed to investigate the matter. I received an email from Fahima Rouabah16 days after the incident only to advise me the camera footage had been erased. This was huge red flag for me considering they knew about my concerns on the day it occurred. They showed me an incident report but refused to provide me a copy. Additional concerns for me was the class ratios were completely unsafe - I walked in once to find one teacher with about 20 children. They mislead me to believe they offer organic food but this was untrue as they feed the children lucky charms and raisin bran for breakfast. The head of the school/owner Fahima Rouabah poorly managed this situation and was extremely unprofessional. There was no empathy, urgency or genuine concern for my child's safety. I have file a complaint with child protective services against this facility to look into my concerns and a complaint with the BBB as well regarding my concerns and to demand my tuition be reimbursed. At the same time, the school continues to allocate funds to cosmetic updates such as repainting facilities and redesigning the website through third-party contractors. This raises reasonable questions about budget priorities. Overall, student academic outcomes do not appear to be the school's primary focus. Additionally, it is publicly known that the director's wife works in UX design; beyond this, the rationale for the recent urgency to redesign the school's website remains unclear.
