Same issue with the new vinyl selections - a ton of obscurities and a new well known artist thrown in there so they can make a few bucks. Good luck trying to search the 45s and 12" singles. I suppose it's their store and they can put up whatever they want for sale. There are places in Rhinelander and the Fox Valley that have much better selections from punk to 40s to 2020s with all genres. There's a weird vibe in GB of music store employees having a music snob air about them. No one wants to hear what wisdom they have to impart to a purchasing customer about the band or piece they're buying, especially trying to one up the customer. Be happy you're providing the public what they want versus being downtrodden on what people buy. Not impressed. That said, I enjoyed the browsing and the small selection of older music mags and pseudo vintage shirts. The older equipment was a nice addition too. They're a 2.5 but selected 3, because they're local and I want to support any vintage/retro/recycle shop.

A nice, lovely, large store with everything Christian that you could ever want. Sometimes when I need a nice gift but don't plan to head north, I order from them online and they ship it to the recipient. Lighthouse gives me that wonderful Christian bookstore shopping experience that has, unfortunately, become increasingly uncommon as brick-and-mortar bookstores have disappeared. It's worth the trip!

The CDs are very fairly priced, even the newer ones, and if there is an album that you want that they do not have in-stock, they are more than happy to order it for you. I've had a few CDs I was considering buying, but wasn't sure what the music was like, so the owner would just put the music on in the store so I could preview prior to buying. He supported all local musicians and artists. I am sorry that the one other review posted here was from a bad experience. Chuk retired in 2015, so he probably wasn't around then. All I can say is that for over 40 years, The Mad Hatteur was about the only place in Fond du Lac where you could get concert tickets, rolling papers and the latest in vinyl.
