YES, it's a real record store! Vinyl, CDs, blu-rays, and DVDs. The music selection is far better than the video collection, as expected. A throw back to record stores of old, that, well, actually sells records.In the age of iTunes and the digital download, it is almost hard to believe this place is able to thrive, but it does nonetheless. They have a very wide and diverse selection of LP's crossing almost all genres, as well as the customary CD's and blurays. They also sell concert and band/artist t-shirt and posters, as well as other little knick knacks that are music related (bobble head of Gene Simmons from Kiss for example). In the back they have what could aptly be described as a miniature version of BestBuy. TV's, audio and video equipment, cables, etc. I have actually stopped in numerous times for odds and ends of that nature since it is so close to my apt (maybe 1/2 a block) for HDMI cable, cell phone charger, etc. I stop in here probably more than I should just because I love it's old school nature and it's employees. Buying local is always preferable in my book, even if I do not really "need" Tiesto's double LP for my collection. read more

This place used to be great years ago, but the newer management is very poor. He's ( the manager)been there for awhile, and thinks he's above everybody. He'll be nice if he thinks you're gonna spend money there, but once he gets the sale, you're useless. Treats you rudely, or may even ignore you. I would suggest if you want to buy from this store, take a trip to the Appleton store, it's much better. The manager there, John, is much nicer and appreciates the sale and your business. Im, not criticizing the products, I've always gotten what I paid for, but the service here stinks. read more

What a rip-off. While it's not posted anywhere noticeable in the store, the receipt will mention in tiny print that they "accept no refunds for any reason," a policy which is absolutely insane and which I of course didn't expect or notice when I made my purchase. I bought a cassette adapter to connect my phone to my car stereo, brought it out to my car and immediate tested it and found that it didn't work, brought it right back into the store, and was told "Well it might not work in YOUR car but it would work in a different car! There's nothing wrong with it!" and after trying to escalate to a manager and talk some sense into the person was offered only in-store credit. How can you sell something that doesn't work for the job it's designed to do, and not accept a return on it, especially only 5 minutes after purchase? I am a person who wants to support local businesses, but Exclusive Company sure makes me rethink that notion. I could have bought this thing at any major megachain store and gotten my money back. read more

This is a great place to find music of all kinds. The even sell used vinyl lps. They have a huge selection of used DVDS as well. The back room has a nice selection of home theatre and car audio that seems pretty reasonable. read more

This used to be the place to go for audio. The installers were the best. I would no longer recommend it. I purchased a full car audio system for my boyfriend. Top notch. Install appeared to go well. After a day with it, something seemed off with the tuning. We went back in no less than three times bc there sounded like a blown speaker. Each time they would mess with settings and then say they didn't hear anything wrong. We even left it for an entire weekend so they could trouble shoot. This went on for a month. Luckily we ran into someone who used to install stereos. Within 10 min he had the system tuned and the issue identified. They hadn't installed the speakers far enough in the door so they were pressing on the panel and reverberating. Took it back in for them to fix. They agreed to fix at no charge and throw in an XM satellite adaptor, which by the way wasn't disclosed that it was needed originally. Went to pick up the vehicle. The clerk started by telling me how they must have set off the alarm overnight bc the battery was dead but the truck was running in the lot and should be fine. Ugh. Then proceeds to explain that diagnosing a sound issue requires a high quality item like a CD not a Bluetooth item. Perplexed....didnt we figure out the issue, not you? I asked if we could leave. And then clerk explains when they went to back the truck out of the garage they accidentally scraped the side. NO JOKE. Entire rear quarter panel gashed by a brick garage wall. Spent the next month arguing about getting the vehicle fixed by my preferred vendor. No money back. Offered a credit for future purchases. I rejected it. Terrible experience. read more

Stopped in to buy a new kenwood car receiver (full price and the same price as crutchfield). I didn't open the receiver until the weekend, when i had time to install it. After looking at the wire diagram i found that the receiver looked used (bag around it was missing tape and finger prints all over the screen). I thought maybe someone just wanted to look at it and put it back in the box at the store (no big deal). I started to take everything apart in my truck and found that the receiver had its ground wire screwed into the side of the receiver (this wire is what keeps people from watching movies on the DVD player when the car is moving and by grounding the wire you can bypass this safety feature). So i called the number on the credit card receipt ((920) 235-1452) and no one picked up (no voicemail or anything). Under the credit receipt there was a hand writen receipt with a different number on it ((920) 235-1450). I called this number and someone picked up ( I later found out the 1st number was there corporate number ((920) 235-1452)). When talking to the manager of the car radio area, He asked me if the screw was black... I said yes... he then told me it sounds like i have a store display model and that he was sorry. He then asked how he can make things better. I told him by giving me my money back. He then came up with a story about having to go to the bank and pay me out of his pocket. After getting the run around i just thought forget it and i'll stop in later in the week and talk to them in person. I stopped in that monday and asked for my money back and after 2 hours of getting the run around i left with a replacement radio. On the way home i felt like they shouldn't get my business for pressuring me into keeping the item. They have a no refund rule and tried to keep me from getting my money back on something they themselves told me was a mistake on there part. I was able to get them to give me the corporate number and after called it with no one picking up remembered the number looked like the one on the credit receipt. I tried calling corporate over and over thinking the number was fake. I finally got someone to pick up at 8am (she stated she just got in). So they must open at 8am. I told here the story and that i tried to call the corporate number but you have no voicemail... she laughed and said ya we have no voicemail. What company has no voicemail today?! This one... It looks like they do not want anyone to know this number and want to pressure you into keeping the bad products they sell. I got my money back, but it was hard to get the point across that it's not hard to refund money on a credit card machine. Call this number if you have a problem with there service (920) 235-1452 and call 8am to 5pm because there is no voicemail. Always pay with a credit card because you can dispute the charge if you can not get your money back. P.S. The customer doesn't need to know you have management problems and that is why i wanted my money back and not a deal one a different product. If you want to truly want to make your customers happy give a 14day return on your products or call me i will change that place around in days. read more

This place ripped me off a long time ago! I originally saw a pair of yamo self standing speakers on the display floor, but when I inquired about them, the display set were the only ones left. They offered me that last pair at a slight discount, but I told the sales rep I couldn't pick them up now, and that I would be back later. Three weeks later, I arrived to pick them up, and to my surprise he had them boxed up and ready to go. The sales rep quoted me the same discounted price as before, and even opened the box to show me they were indeed the speakers I had wanted. When I asked to have them taken out of the box to be looked at once more, the clerk denied me the chance, saying "they're too difficult to take out and put back in...". He also assured me that the only defect was a small scratch on the side of the box of one speaker. When I got them home and unboxed, I removed the screens to inspect the speakers. To my surprise one of the tweeter domes was pushed in. In the center of the dent, was a small pin hole where it looked like someone tried pulling out the dent by poking something into the dome. I was rather irritated, and immediately boxed them back up and took them back to the store. Talking to the same clerk, he told me it was a sold as is item and would not take them back. If you are going to sell As is items, shouldn't you let the customer know before the sale? After arguing with the clerk for over twenty minutes, he finally contacted the owner, who greedily and reluctantly offered in-store-credit only. I have not been back to the Exclusive Company since then! read more

I was in the store today (5-26-2016) and was treated very badly. I recently bought a home theater system (not from Exclusive) and had some questions. I needed longer wires on 2 of my speakers, as well as some fasteners to run the wires along the ceiling, so I was looking for advice. When I approached the counter, the guy that was there was opening boxes. From the beginning, I felt like I was inconveniencing him. As I tried to talk to him, he kept opening boxes and reading invoices, basically ignoring me. I had bought the wrong gauge wire to do the job, & I was trying to get advice about the right way to do this project. As I was telling him about the wire I bought, he turned his attention back to the invoice. I'd had enough, & said "You're not the least bit interested in listening to me, are you?" His comment was "You did the research, I'm sure you got good wire if you say so. If you had bought it from me, I know you would have good stuff." I'd had enough. I just said "Have a good day" & I left. On the way out, there were 2 older gentlemen at the counter of the record store, & when I walked past them I said "You have a fellow in the back who's not the least bit interested in helping me with my problem." One of them said "Wait. What happened?" but it was too late. I was mad, & on the way out I just said "He can kiss my ass". read more
