After reading the negative review, I felt the need to add my experience with the Mill Run Primrose…read more I have two children 12 months apart, 2 years old and 3 years old, enrolled since birth with Tara's school. It's not inexpensive; in fact, it's about as pricey as it gets, but as expectant parents who have done their homework know, there's not a wide margin from school to school, and the several that we explored before choosing Primrose that were substantially less expensive...well I wouldn't step foot back in those schools. The kind of relationships that my children have built with ALL of their teachers trough the several classrooms they have been in is on par with the kind of relationship they have with their grandparents and aunts and uncles. The primrose staff is family to my children. Several teachers that ended up leaving primrose still keep contact with me on Facebook, and send messages of well wishes and asking how the girls are doing. Both of my girls are potty trained, know more sign language than I can keep up with, and are creatively and socially engaged beyond the level of which I could hope them to be in most any other circumstance. The moral of the story - if you're looking for an environment that fosters loving friendship, family values, and education foremost, and you hope to have your children more developmentally advanced than their stay-at-home counterparts...if you want to leave your daycare every morning at drop off knowing that they're in the hands of people you love and trust, the Mill Run Primrose should be your first option. Even after divorce and a tighter budget, I've never considered an alternative option. Do yourself a favor and go tour with Tara, Liz, and Katie and meet the teachers my children consider family.

After meeting with the staff and seeing their interactions with the children, it became clear that they do care about the children and want to keep the environment safe, fun, and geared towards learning. I do not worry about leaving her there at daycare and she genuinely enjoys going and spending time with the kids and teachers. They have helped with her speech and she was potty trained within 2 months of attending. The staff genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and greet all the kids and parents every morning with good vibes. Before enrolling we visited 6 other facilities and we chose TC over all of them. Our oldest daughter is part of a group of kids at TC which have been together since they learned to speak. When she started school , she was far ahead of the curve and helping other students to learn the material and has since tested as gifted. The TC staff clearly prepared her well. Our kids have never said bad things about TC, the staff has always been flexible and understanding with our family's needs. 2020 Covid introduced pure chaos to everyone and TC quickly established a plan for remote sessions so the kids could see and talk to their friends and teachers. It was difficult for everyone, reviews criticizing the covid period should be taken lightly. The summer camp program is fantastic and on many days the kids do 2 different activities which is above and beyond the summer camps we are looking at joining in our new city. We will greatly miss the people, teachers, and students at TC in our new city. We wish we could take TC with us as the only reason we are leaving this center is because we have been relocated to a new city.

They can command a classroom and respect the kids at the same time. My kid has been going to primrose for about 2 years and in that time, he has learned to walk, talk, and express opinions. The teachers have commented on how much he's grown and how fun it has been to watch. I have to give a special shoutout to Ms. Morris, Ms. Patrick, and Mr. Blake for always being above and beyond teachers during this time. I have been impressed with the programs and curriculum Primrose has provided. My kid comes home telling me about electricity and recycling, or how plants grow or about a story they read in class every day. He thrives in their academic environment. The teacher never noticed until a code was called and the Director raced outside to grab my son. Full review below. My son had been going to this Primrose location for a little over a year. A couple weeks ago, my son's class was outside in the play yard with their teacher. My son, and another little one, pushed open the gate leading from the play yard to the parking lot without the teacher noticing. This gate was supposed to be locked, but was not. My son walked out of the play yard, across the parking lot, and into the retention pond, without his teacher noticing. The only reason why a code was called was because a teacher in another classroom happened to look out their classroom window and see my son walking into the pond. My son might not be here today if the teacher hadn't looked out their window. While the Director acted quickly to pull my son out of the pond, this major lapse in security should have never occurred. The daycare critically failed to complete security checks to ensure all gates were locked. My child could have died because they failed to complete security checks. I, obviously, pulled my son out of Primrose School at Pinnacle. I could never trust them to take the necessary measures needed to ensure my child's, or any of the other children's who attend this daycare, safety. I understand that the executive staff are taking responsibility for what happened, cooperating with the investigation, and taking steps to mitigate the risk of this happening again, but this should have never happened. My son loved his teachers and going to this school. This entire incident is heartbreaking for me and his dad.

LARGE ADULT SCISSORS LEFT LYING AROUND IN THE CHILDREN'S REACH!!! MAJOR STATE SAFETY VIOLATION!!!…read more I totally understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I myself would have written a glowing review for this business up until just a couple of months ago. We loved Primrose and thought the educational value was superior. As a teacher myself I really valued my kids being in this educational setting. Furthermore, it is a beautiful, clean facility with impressive outdoor play areas. Three things happened over the past couple of months in our three year old's preschool class that drastically changed my opinion of this childcare facility. I will start with the most shocking: 1.) SCISSORS/SAFETY VIOLATIONS: I was usually in and out in about 2 minutes during pick up and drop off. One day about a month ago my son said he had to use the restroom when I was picking him up. While I was waiting for him I noticed adult sized scissors lying on the low counter by the sink where the children wash their hands. I am not an over-reactor by any means. It was brought to the teacher's attention but I didn't make a huge deal about it. About a week later my son was showing me something he had made and I was shocked when I noticed the scissors lying out again. I informed the director about the scissors on our way to my other sons' classroom. The director went down to the room. On my way out she thanked me for bringing this to her attention. She said that the teacher said she was not aware that she could not leave regular scissors lying around. This actually scared me more. This means those scissors had probably been out just about EVERYDAY and I just was always in and out so quick that I didn't notice. The director assured me that it would not happen again. However, I just kept wondering "what else does this teacher not know that I assume (as the person I was trusting to keep my kid safe each day for 8+ hours) that she knows." I wasn't willing to take any chances and wait to find out. We did not send our sons back to Primrose after this incident. I also contacted the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services who oversees childcare facility licensing and they said that this is a reportable state safety violation. 2.) BULLYING: My son was being bullied by a group of 4 boys. This is a more subjective topic so I will not go into the details but I assure you that based on all the facts I have I am convinced that my son was in fact being bullied. When I mentioned my concerns about the "bullying" to his teacher she didn't seem to think there was a problem. Things continued that concerned us so we brought up our concerns with management who tried to smooth things over by telling us that 3 year olds are too young to have malicious intent and bully. I am a teacher and coincidentally we just had a professional development session about bullying for the staff at my school and the speaker said that bullying starts at age 2. I did some quick internet searches and found similar facts stating that bullying does in fact start in preschool. When I had concerns about my son getting bullied, management's response was actually a denial of the problem and giving me inaccurate information. If they were not acknowledging the possibility of bullying then how could I expect them to do anything about my specific concerns I shared with them? 3. TALKING BAD ABOUT STUDENTS TO PARENT OF OTHER KIDS. My son got bit by another student and I had to sign an incidence report at pickup one day. As the teacher was explaining the incident and asking me to sign she said to me that she thought one of the other students in the class had "mental problems" and "just wasn't quite right". I was completely bewildered at this unprofessionalism. Did she say things about my son to other parents? Wow. As a teacher, I can't imagine ever talking about one of my students in a negative way to another parent. Not to mention that there are laws (FERPA) that prohibit the sharing of information about other students. Primrose looks great on the outside. My sons spent 8+ hours there a day but I was only seeing a small glimpse of what happens during my quick drop off and pick up times. From what I saw I felt great about sending my kids there. When the 3 things that I mentioned above all started to come to light I was shocked. Knowing what I know now, I would NOT FEEL SAFE sending my sons there. In fact, I decided to withdraw them immediately after the second scissors incident and I still had to pay for 2 weeks worth of service. This was also an inconvenient decision financially since it essentially meant that I had to pay for childcare at two places at the same time as well as pay the enrollment fees at a new center. However, my children are irreplaceable and far too important to me for me to take any chances when their safety is at stake.
