Have known Tom and family for about 20 years so when we were remodeling, I contacted him and didn't shop competitors. BIG BIG mistake. He came to our home in May and we ordered new window coverings for about half our home. Gave him 50% (approx $2,500) down. He said new window coverings would be ready mid July. In July, also gave him one of our existing window coverings to be restrung. Have not heard from him since. Have left numerous texts, phone messages, and even taped notes to his store door. No response at all. Getting very frustrated. My wife is talking about taking legal action against him to recover our down payment. I would never do business with him again and would recommend going elsewhere before giving him any money. read more

I had a frustrating experience with Prescott Window Coverings. They came out, took measurements, and gave a bid--but never followed up. I had to text, call, and even go to the store just to get a response. They did eventually complete one window, but after that, no further communication or follow-up. I few days ago Mr Tom, called and said that he has our window coverings, which was installed the same day. I was so surprised that left me speechless since no contacts for several months, ignoring all our attempts and after we contacted Hunter Douglas the company that produced the shades , they have contacted mr.Tom ,we received it. The installation went well, my husband was present and mr.Tom was very nice, nobody mentioned any disputes, so I do not know if this is the way this company usually operates. At the end it all went well. For the peace of mind I am not sure I would recommend them due to lack of communication and stress we went through. Hope this helps. read more

Please do not use this company. My parents used them for 2 electric blinds. They took $1000 deposit and then said their blinds were discontinued. We have been calling and emailing to try and get a refund with no luck in speaking to Anyone. I feel like they definitely took advantage of my parents because they are older. Contract signed for window coverings on Dec 10, 2024 with Prescott Window Coverings at 1480 Iron Springs Rd in the amount of $8,973 with a deposit given on a credit card for 50% or $4,486.50. Have called the owner/manager Tom Binkley numerous times and have stopped at the store several times where they was only a sign in the window and the store was closed. March 10th my wife called Mr. Binkley and was told the blinds were shipped on March 20th. wife there was a "fabric issue with Hunter Douglas and they may never get it" so she told him to cancel the order and send us our money back. On April 4th we called him and he said his "financial lady" mailed our refund check "yesterday, April 3rd or today, April 4th" and he hung up on us. The check never came. April 11th my wife called Mr. Binkley again telling him we never received the check. He would check on the status and call her back. He never did. As of today, April 13th we still have not received They never were as Mr. Binkley on March 31 told my wife there was a "fabric issue with Hunter Douglas and they may never get it" so she told him to cancel the order and send us our money back. I am sorry to report that this company's business practices leave a lot to be desired. After paying my deposit on January 17th for 9 window coverings which were promised to be available within 6 weeks, I did not receive any updates on the progress of the window coverings. I called and left several messages which were not returned. I then called the wife of the owner and she said she is not involved in the business even though her voice on the answering machine was clearly hers. I still did not get a call back. Finally after calling a fourth time someone told me the blinds would be in by late March. However, that proved not to be the case. My assistant then made several calls on my behalf and he was told they would be ready in early April which also turned out not to be the case. Then we both texted the owner's wife once again since we were not receiving any response from the owner and his number was out of service. Finally a brief email came from him indicating there was a delay with the manufacturer. One wonders if the delay was actually with the placement of the order because when he arrived to install the blinds, there was one that had not been ordered at all, causing yet another delay. No apology for the lack of communication or inconvenience caused by the delays was offered, nor any discount given the delay of nearly two months in getting the blinds installed. I have to say, Leslie was amazing at helping me choose my window shades for 24 windows. On time, courteous and knowledgeable, and she answered every question and made changes easily. I must say the service for repair was awesome. My blind had to be restrung but I also had two valances on other blinds that needed to be refixed to the rails, for some reason the clips had snapped. The repaired blind was done and installed within a week. Thomas returned another day to fix the two valances...he came up with an smart way to attached them. Brilliant!!! I brought my custom made shade in for restring. It was obviously restrung short as two of the cells were not expanding leaving it an inch short of the sill. When I called to report this, I was given some song and dance excuse. When a service cannot admit their mistake, it's time to go elsewhere. P.S. I fixed it myself, not rocket science. read more

Time for an update - had a breakdown in communication which has subsequently been rectified and so well we are now giving them a 5 stars - not only for handling the prior issue but we did business with them again and bought another 5 shades and wow - what an amazing experience. One of the two shades for our master was cut wrong but we also realized it was absolutely the wrong color as a full shade and not a little sample - and the owner then helped us out tremendously but allowing us to choose to replace both shades. The cost was so minimal as they worked with their vendor and we now have matching shades of the right color and cut. We are thrilled. What a great service and surely made us feel the spirit of Christmas! Thanks to Tom - owner. BTW - perhaps you can buy for less but can you speak to the vendor if there is a mistake. An 8' shade in master bedroom broke. Brought it in for repair and was told it would take 2 weeks because they send them to Phoenix for repair. Stopped by in the 2nd week to check on status and spoke to a different gentleman who said, no, it takes 4 weeks for repair. I asked him then why the young man (owners son) told us 2 weeks. He said "I don't know". Wife later spoke with someone and got the name of the shop that does the repair... they were very helpful and said it would be ready Thursday afternoon, and we were prepared to go pick it up. While talking to owners son, he told her they could expedite the process for an additional $50.....she then spoke with the owner who said they would definitely get it on Thursday, but wouldn't get to the store till Friday. No call Friday morning to say they had it. Wife went to pick up at their store. it was there...she asked if they could install it...they said next Wednesday. she paid them and brought it home. Got a competitor to come Friday and install it. This was an extremely frustrating ordeal with miscommunication and a lack of communication and urgency. We won't be doing business here again read more

Excellent staff and product! Our sunroom has been transformed. Christine knows her product...we were able to narrow down our choice both style wise and color quite quickly. Her measurements were spot on. We thought we would have to wait about 5 weeks for the blinds to arrive, but we got a call in two weeks that they were in. Ty and Victor installed the 11 blinds in a little over an hour, asking for our input when necessary. They cleaned up the area AND helped us move two looms in the sunroom. Thank you, gentlemen! Tom came to our house. We picked out our fabric for four large picture windows. He measured for those in addition to others we wanted something new. Tom told us he'd call the next day with the quote. He did not. We called a few days later. He made up an excuse that his computer couldn't figure the measurements out and that he'd need to return. We emailed and called many times with NO RETURN CALLS at least out of courtesy. It's been a month. Tom is incompetent as a business owner. I would not trust him. I had new shutters installed through out by Prescott Window Coverings in 2016 and paid over $5200. I called Prescott Window coverings the 1st part of January 2022 as the largest shutter was too big and was bowing from the sun heating up the shutter. Hayden Binkley (owners son) said he would come out and take a look but said there would be a $75.00 service charge (non refundable). I agreed to this ridiculous charge. Hayden Binkley came to my home on January 5, 2022 at 10:00 am and said the two panel shutter may still be under warranty but that particular style has been discontinued by "Hunter Douglas" and no longer made. Hayden Binkley said he would get back to me that same day. To date, I have not heard from Hayden Binkley or any employee from Prescott Window Coverings. Prescott Window Coverings can keep my $75.00 as they apparently need it more than I do. I have since secured another "Hunter Douglas" dealer. read more

Having purchased a new home we had to seek out someone to take care of the window coverings. After a little research we decided to try this company. It was a good decision. We met Tom Binkley who took a lot of time showing us different coverings and explaining the plus and minuses to help us decide which would work best in which room. Once the home was finished and we could start measuring things Tom came out and measured all the windows. He even gave us some great suggestions for type and color that would accent the rooms. Once all were made they called to make an appointment to install. Tom arrived as scheduled and installed all the shades. They did a great job and cleaned up after. We are very pleased with Tom and crew. Yes we would recommend them to anyone seeking quality product and service. You can't go wrong. Unlike a previous review we did not find any of the pricing to be over rated. In fact we felt Tom gave us a very good deal for all the windows we needed coverings for. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for and we feel we got more than what we paid for. read more

We had to replace a pair of ladders in our window blinds. I was afraid it might be cheaper to just buy new ones, but decided to get an estimate. My fears were greatly overblown! The cost was VERY reasonable, they replaced ALL of the ladders, and I am quite pleased with how good our blinds look now. I had actually called another window blind company first but was referred to Prescott Window Coverings. When a company in the business recommends a competitor, I think that is a very good recommendation. read more

From the saleswoman to the installers my experience was excellent. Christine came to the house and spent 2 hours with me going over different options for the bedroom and den. She was so pleasant and helpful and I felt we had gone over every question I had. I recently had an insulated blind that needed to be restrung because I could not raise the blind.  I contacted a local window coverings business in Yavapai County that said they could handle the repair, but who then called me a few days later to tell me the blind was not repairable.  They then quoted me a price of almost $500 for a replacement window covering.  So I contacted Prescott Window Coverings, explained the problem with the blind, and dropped the blind off for repairs.  Two days later they called and told me the blinds were ready to be picked up.  I can not say enough about their quick and efficient service... and the cost... $50.  Tom Binkley and the crew at Prescott Window Coverings are honest, straight forward business people.  I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for all your window treatment needs.  If only all businesses operated with this level of efficiency and integrity. read more

Scheduled an appointment for a time and date and no one showed up or telephoned to say that they would not be coming. No show!

Never showed up, never called back for app between 130-230 pm. Disorganized and wouldn't do a business with them.

I'm only giving one star because I have to give something. I'll start off by saying we bought a new house and had no window coverings at all. So we needed coverings badly. No privacy. So we had the owner, Tom, come to our house and give us a quote on 8 windows, a back sliding door and two front door side windows and were quoted $8200 for Hunter Douglas rolling "Roman" style shades and little plantation shutters for the front door side windows. That's a lot of money, overpriced if you ask me. He made it seem like he was giving us all these discounts but it still seemed really high. First, he forgot to bring the book of samples to our appt that was scheduled a week prior. So he had to leave and come back which took a half hour (he was already 30 minutes late). Then it took a total of 3 hours for him to measure and provide the quote. He talks way too much and also talked over us. Even though we thought the cost was high we thought we'd get really good service and a good product. We put down 50%. We were told it would be 3-4 weeks. No problem. At 3 1/2 weeks we had to call to check on the status of our order. When my husband spoke to Tom he was told that the product was on back order which he never even bothered to call and tell us about when he placed the order. This automatically told us that it would be longer than 3-4 weeks. This might have been ok if we had been told about it, kept in the loop at all times. Toms said he'd call Hunter Douglas to check on the status and he'd call right back. He didn't call back. The next day we thought we'd give him until the end of the day to call us. It was a Friday and we knew they'd be closed for the weekend. This made us nervous when 2:00 came around and we hadn't gotten a call. I called the office and was told he was out. I left a message. I waited until just after 4:00 as I knew they closed at 4:30 and called again only to be told by an unfriendly guy who answered the phone that Tom still wasn't in. It already bothered me that there was only one person who could provide me with the status. Finally I called back after only 5 minutes and Tom answers. As I try to talk to him he's interrupting me and speaking quickly and mumbling. First he tells me he tried to check the status online and was having problems. Um, I thought he called the day before like he said he was going to but anyway. He calls them while I'm on the phone and gets our name wrong. He's checking the status and not getting answers and so asked if he could call me back. At this point it's 4:30 on a Friday and they're closed on weekends. After 10 minutes he doesn't call. So I call the store. NO ANSWER!!! I hang up furious....so I call right back and he answers "I'm still waiting to find out." I told him at this point that I wanted to cancel the order. He tells me "well I told you it would be 3-4 weeks." Ok, 3-4 weeks before what?? It was two days shy of being 4 weeks. Not very empathetic or friendly customer service. I told him we weren't pleased that we were never told they were on back order and WE had to follow up. We hadn't received a single call since he took our money almost 4 weeks earlier. I told him we want to cancel and that was that. He says "ok well I'll have to run your card but you have to come in." I said ok we'll be there in 10 minutes. And he says "well we closed at 4:30 but I can stay and wait for you." Seriously??? This place has terrible service with an owner who talks too much, interrupts, doesn't empathize, apologize, provide status, follow up, nothing. I'm glad we got our money back and can move on. Nobody should ever have to do that much work as the customer or worry and have anxiety because they have our money. I hope they read this review, can learn from it and fix their problems. read more

His knowledge and pleasant disposition when I first met him to fix a blind where we were renting was the entire reason I chose him to install all of our cellulars at our new home. Tom, the store owner was very professional and helpful in educating us about the products we were interested in. He made us feel at ease as he explained how the products were manufactured and the different types of materials used, along with how and where they could be used. He helped us make informed decisions on the types of window coverings that would work and look the best in our home. We made an appt. for Tom to come and measure our windows. He followed this up with a reminder email. He arrived on time and was very thorough in taking measurements as we have a few "difficult" windows. We were advised of when the coverings would be ordered and when they arrived. We had to wait on installation because of problems with new windows,and PWC stored our window coverings for us while the window issues were resolved. When we were ready we made an appt. over the phone with Tommy for installation. He followed this up with a confirmation email. On the day of installation, Thomas arrived right on time. He was very polite, respectful, professional, and knew what he was doing. He was courteous and personable, and explained why and how he was doing things, which reflects very well on Prescott Window Coverings. We love our new window coverings and we appreciate the great customer service and value we received from Prescott Window Coverings. We Highly Recommend Prescott Window Coverings! read more

We were very happy with the service that we received from PWC. Christine was great and very professional. She was such a pleasure to work with. Our HOA was strict on what type of coverings we could have and Christine really did her best to provide us with several options. The result is not what I wanted, thanks only to our HOA but, the product we chose looks fabulous and we are very happy. The installer that came to our home did an amazing job. He was courteous and did a great job cleaning up. He also was kind to answer all my questions. We recently had a repair issue and it was handled promptly and to our satisfaction. We had been doing business with Tom, the owner for many years and have referred him to several of our friends. I was a little disappointed that he didn't return my call when all I wanted to tell him was thank you again and that he had a great team. And recently I had a concern and thought I'd get a call back then and never did. That's why I didn't give you 5 stars. Also, I would recommend the coverings with remote control.
