Starr, Rosie, Lupe, and Lucinda are friendly and always work hard to make sure that my family's experience is comfortable and quick. Manager Mohamad and Justin also make sure that we are educated on how to properly take our medications and are always friendly. Mine went without a hitch, I don't mind shots so much. The wife has an issue with needles and she had some anxiety. Tim was understanding and expressed empathy and was patient and we got the shot in her. 15 minutes of waiting to make sure we didn't have a reaction and home we go. It does have a hometown feel as this is not the big city and that's the appeal and charm of more rural Texas. We have always tried to support our local community, no matter where we've lived. But this guy has made it clear to both of us, that this is NOT a business we want to support. The staff has on occasion been rude to my husband and he's seen them be rude to other customers. So that tells us, it starts at the top. On more than one occasion the pharmacist Brian has been condescending and beyond rude to me. My doctor prescribed something to me one time to help me sleep and it overlapped another prescription that I already had. When he was talking to me about it, he made me feel like I was a drug attic, and that I was abusing it. One time I went in around 545pm (they close at 6). I was trying to use a discount card given to me by my doctor. Mind you,I had never used one before.... the entire staff (mainly Brian) clearly didn't want to help me because they were ready to go home. At one point when I was looking down at my phone, to activate the card Brian said something and I tried to answer and he rudely said ," I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to her!" To get me out of there he offered to spot me one pill until I could get the card figured out, because obviously my doctor wasn't clear in telling me how to use the card. I told him to forget it and that I would pay full price. I got my bag and left. Got home and the prescription in question wasn't even in the bag. There was a note on the front of the bag in bright red letters that said the prescription in question was in another basket and it was checked that he (Brian) was supposed to counsel with me because it was a new prescription. I was so pissed. Went the next morning to get it and got zero apologies. Maybe if they hadn't of been in such a hurry, they wouldn't have forgotten it in the fThese people do not deserve my business. I've worked at HEB for 20 years and if one of our partners ever treated a customer like this they would've been reprimanded. I know it probably won't make a difference, but I will NEVER be going back again. We've spent a lot of money here. I've had 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement and we got all of my medications here. So much for supporting "the local guy". Our business will definitely be going elsewhere. Only negative is the fish area, sometimes it's not like it should be. We've had a few times having the salmon patties and they weren't good when we got them home and a few times made us ill. Overall, one of our favorites stores to frequent.
