Lon and Carol provide excellent service and take care of so many members in our community. My entire family comes here. My son lives in Dallas now and still gets his glasses from WFE. His new glasses came in last week, and he couldn't come into town until Saturday. WFE is closed on Sat. Sam, who works at the front desk, drove to work and picked them up to DELIVER them to me! On her day off! I haven't even paid for them yet and they wanted to make sure we had them. They help so many people in our community who have no insurance get glasses. They don't turn people away, and always work with them. They've been in business for over 20 years and have always been the best. read more

Let me start out by saying my grandma and grandpa have been residents of Whitney since I was TWO years old!!! My grandpa is a routine guy much like my grandma was. They stuck to their in town grocery stores, pharmacies, doctors, etc. I think the majority of this town does the same. I also would go as far to say that most of the town is elderly. Eubanks drug is wonderfully staffed and have always accommodated not just me but my entire family. They stay busy yet they never seem flustered and make sure you have your medication in hand in a timely manner. So when I saw it was another Eubank working as the optometrist I was at ease knowing I would be taken care of. The optometrist did a wonderful job. He was prompt and kind. He made small talk that wasn't too over whelming but made sure there was no awkward silence while he preformed my exam. The nurses that helped take me back to my room and took the photos of my eyes were warm and friendly as well. Now this is where it got bad. I have WONDERFUL eye insurance. Actually, I have two sets of eye insurance. For a year my step mom has been telling me to get an eye exam because it's free. Now when sitting down to get ready to pick frames I was informed on what my insurance covered as far as frames went and I made sure to pick a pair that was below that budget. After it was ALL said and done and I had spent a fair amount of mine and my old grandpas time she casually rings up my total saying that without insurance it was over $500 and that my out of pocket was $144 to which I told her I could not afford. I felt so put on the spot. I just spent time asking the lady what was in my budget. She never once took the time to explain to me that the price (for whatever reason) isn't what it is on the ticket. Did I mention that I asked this woman several times "so these are covered fully?" She all prepared to let me walk out the door after saying I could pay half up front which I then had to explain again I couldn't pay that and wouldn't pay considering I felt manipulated in that situation. I very specifically remember her as she was trying to talk fast so that I couldn't hear her break down the costs of what I was supposed to pay for saying I HAD to have a specific pair of lenses for the frames I chose. When I spoke with her supervisor she said they were not mandatory. So, I asked her "so you're telling me she lied?" to which she said "no." Well that's exactly what she did. The supervisor said the lenses were NOT mandatory and her employee said they WERE mandatory. Therefore, that is LYING. I will say the poor supervisor was trying to do what she could to right the situation by offering her kindness but what I wanted wasn't her kind attitude after the fact what I wanted was an explanation and an apology AND for her to stick up for her patient rather than her employee who was very clearly in the wrong. Oh, and by the way my mom was at work that day and called up there after the fact then left a negative review and they just told her they were going to delete it. So, don't believe all the great reviews you read because I think it's pretty freaking crazy they're allowed to delete someone's honest opinion and review especially when it's justified. I hate that I have to write this. Freedom of speech and it's YELP it's here so people can read all reviews and then decide themselves whether they want to try the place out based on ALL the opinions given on here. It's not fair to just leave the good ones up. I understand we're all human and we make mistakes but like I said before all I wanted was to feel like she was going to correct the employee that made the error (and no I don't mean fire) I have worked in customer service and I have worked with people of all backgrounds and I can tell you this was handled very poorly. If it were me u would've said "I am so sorry this happened to you I will make sure and talk to the employee that dealt with you and make sure this never happens to another patient again." That would've been the end of it and neither me nor my mom would've had to write such a negative review ESPECIALLY me since my mom was told hers is being taken down. read more

Hands down best experience I've ever had- everyone in the office is AMAZING! Every single employee I interacted with was genuinely kind. Carol brought out at least 50 frames for me to try on and really cared that I was happy with my frames. The following week my 7 year old daughter failed her eye test as school. I called and spoke with Sam at the front desk and she got her in the same week. After testing, we realized that she was fine. Just a little nearsighted but Dr. Eubank that's common in kids her age, and said she would most likely grow out of it. They could've sold me glasses for her and I would've happily bought them. They are more interested in being honest and acting with integrity. They have my business for life! read more

They have been very helpful for all our family needs including helping our 7-year-old granddaughter who has multiple issues with her eyes. I would highly recommend them. Their office is prompt with appointments and very helpful when picking out glasses, contacts, and referrals for eye surgery. Very pleased with the service we have received with all our appointments. I went to this office for an exam. I left the office with a prescription for contact lenses and glasses. I like to shop online for cheaper frames and contacts. The contacts that I was prescribed are only available at this office, not online. The PD measurement that is usually in prescriptions was not included, so I can t order frames online. I called the office to ask if they had that measurement in my file, and was told that it was not normal for them to check it during the exam, and that I could come in and have it measured for an additional fee. In conclusion: This business is a racket. They only provide information and prescriptions for items available in that office. I will not return read more

I was in need of getting relief from something under my eyelid. It had been nearly 2 weeks and getting worse so I decided it wasn't just a piece of pollen. After making an on line appointment on a Saturday, I got a call and got right in on early Monday morning. It took Dr. Eubank maybe 5 seconds to find a piece of metal embedded in my eye. He quickly numbed the eye and carefully removed the object with his tweezers. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Professional and friendly staff. Beautiful office and frame shop. I wished I had checked on here before making an appt. Other than the lady answering the phones the staff was flat out rude! The older woman helping me put my new contacts in was so rude & irritable. It was my first time with prescription contacts & I was having some trouble. At one point she picked up the mirror I was using & slammed it face down claiming with a raised voice that I was too busy looking in the mirror instead of the ceiling! I will pay to have another eye exam & get my measurements before I go back to this place. read more
