Presence OC has changed the way I do church! The pastors are huge on building strong, healthy community, and are openly passionate about their love of King Jesus. I also found an incredible small home group through the church. Seeing someone's knee, back, headache etc. get healed is a common occurance (my hip pain of 7 years was healed 3 months ago at the church), and it's an amazing environment in my opinion. If you're looking for a spirit filled (not pentacostal) church service, you should come check the church out some Sunday. They have 2 services, band quality worship, childcare, serve very good coffee, and are gifted with incredible staff that always make you feel welcome. 5 stars! read more

This church is all about God's Presence, doing life in community, and building big people! The leaders intentionally encourage people who come to "do the stuff" rather than sit on the sidelines or just watch. People who go to Presence do so because they love God, they love people and they want to grow in being more like Jesus. The people here genuinely love well. The leaders are authentic and they truly care for people well. Don't just go to Presence to check off a weekly church service from your to-do list. Go to meet with God. Go to grow in your faith. This church is rare. I initially came because I saw on their website were written countless miracle testimonies. What made me stay was the family. I have never seen such obvious reverence displayed in pastors openly before. Most weeks you will find the senior pastor on his knees and face during worship completely humbled by God. Same goes for many of the people in the room. I have been very challenged by this church, specifically the pastors, in the way that they talk about loving and caring for other people. I noticed someone on here had commented that they felt like politics were being preached. I just have to say I couldn't disagree more. Never in my life have I heard "manipulation" and "coercion" preached AGAINST so strongly and frequently. Seriously. Manipulation of people or situations is simply just desire to control them. Control (being the opposite of free will) is obviously not God's heart. I've learned this from the pastors Presence! This message never came out quite so strongly or clearly as during the election season where the pastors were obviously being intentional to preach Jesus and Jesus alone and not "the left" or "the right" or any of that. I guess I could just quote the senior pastor. "I'm not NEARLY as concerned about your political stance... as I am about how you treat your neighbor who thinks differently than you" read more

In a time where I was struggling a lot, I would simply show up at this church with no expectations (and not a lot of hope) and God rebuilt my view of Him and His love -- and I now get to experience more joy than I knew was possible! I am so so so thankful for a group of people that are TRULY after loving God, and loving others -- with everything! No matter where you're at in life.. this is the place for you! This is a genuine, authentic body of Christ. We see miracles, healings, hear prophetic words and words of knowledge every week! But most of all, we feel known and loved here. The pastors are approachable. They are incredibly dynamic and gifted and deliver powerful messages week after week. They model what it's like to be a Christian in the world and not just on Sundays. Worship is always amazing too! We have many different teams so it's never dull or mundane. Homegroups offer a chance to connect with friends mid-week. Prayer is abundant here! There are many opportunities to pray for others and receive prayer as well. This community is a safe place to be yourself and encounter Jesus! You'll experience church like a family! I have been a part of PresenceOC since June 2016 so I may be biased but I think this church is awesome. That being said, I encourage all followers of Christ to find someplace to call home whether it is at PresenceOC or somewhere else. If you are looking for a new part of the Body to call home, here are a few highlights that I've noticed. Focuses on Community: This church grew out of a large home group and it still maintains that community and family feel. The leadership is dedicated to creating and sustained a culture of Christ-focused community. There are a number of home groups or connect groups throughout the week to facilitate further fellowship as well. Practices the Presence of God: Although this is my second point, it is definitely not second in priority to the church. This church emphasizes practicing the presence of God in all areas of life. The worship is great, the sermons are inspiring, and the community is powerful but the presence of our God and the pursuit of His presence is the common denominator for this Church. Promotes Freedom in Christ: This is a community that lets "you be you and me be me" and promotes the discovery of that identity as well. If you want to sing and dance in front, then do that. If you want to sit and meditate in back, then do that. As one of the leaders says, "we judge a tree by its fruit, not by how it shakes in the wind". If PresenceOC is for you, awesome; if it's not for you, awesome: the leadership will help you find a place for you to get connected! This church places a higher priority in getting Christians plugged into a Christ-following community than it does on filling seats or counting attendance. Presence Church is all about being in the presence of God no matter where you are. If you're looking for this church it's located in Costa Mesa at a local club. The worship is all about praising God and giving Him honor. This is less of a production but more so a home group who loved to worship God together only now they have a church to worship together in. There are three pastors and one children's leader who genuinely love and hear from God and love people. Just down to earth folks who are their authentic selves through and through - beautiful passionate souls. The congregation is a mixed group of people interested in giving back and serving while making community together. I think there were a handful of people who said they got healed during prayer too. I visited this church and got a chance to meet some very friendly people. Everyone is so welcoming and is so nice! Love it! The church location is actually at shark's club. A club that I once visited on Saturdays before for a night of fun. I give this part of my visit a 5 star plus. They have a full band for the worship. I have friends who attend church here and told me great things about the worship. Unfortunately, I am kinda picky about worship and I get disappointed easily when I can't worship. I am not sure what it is, but I couldn't worship at this place. It's frustrating for me as well when I visit churches and so few churches provide the type of worship I love. If you are looking for a full band, you got it here and the worship is great to most people I know. My only reason that this church is an A-OK has nothing to do with the friendliness of the church or worship. It had to do with a common theme I heard from the congregation and the speakers here. I heard several members of the church quoted, "Jesus is you!!!!! (by the Holy Spirit)" To me, I am never gonna be Jesus. I am never gonna be up to par to the standards of God when it comes to holiness. I am a sinner and is still in the process of sanctification everyday until eternity. To say that I am Jesus is just plain wrong. I think I get what the leaders are trying to say... that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to do miracles like Jesus. My biggest issue is that this quote is very misleading. People started saying that we are Jesus. This is exactly what happened to the fall of man when Eve wanted to to be like God. I trust that this is not the intentions of the church, but its misleading people into thinking that we are Jesus. I didn't want to give less than a 4 star for a church, but this is a huge issue to me that need to be addressed. I don't want other visitors to believe that we are Jesus after hearing the sermons because we are not Jesus. My friend asked me if I heard it wrong, like are you sure the speaker didn't say, "You are in Jesus?". So I listened to the sermons online again. Yup, the church leaders said "YOU ARE JESUS... by the Holy Spirit". Other than that, this church has great community and even tight small group.. It is strong in healing ministry from my experience at this place. Miracles happen and many people have strong faith in healing here. I think that's great and that's what's needed in churches. We can't say God can't do miracles just because we don't believe in it. The God I believe in is a great and mighty God who made the heavens and the earth. In the beginning the buzz was all about the gifts, activations, and miracles, which was very exciting. Along with the worship music from Bethel. That is great, but that will not sustain. Hype nor music will keep a community alive. It just mask the real issues for real spiritual growth and fruit. After spending time serving and being involved, I finally woke up and realized this congregation is a toxic community. When you leave, nobody reaches out to you, nor does anyone make any real time for personal connection. It shows indifference not love. The leadership has a reactive defensive posture when it comes to addressing or feedback on unacceptable behavior. The passive aggressive behavior and spiritual gaslighting had gotten to be a bit much. I mean instead of owning up to poor behavioral choices, the teachings causes people to use false 'spiritual' excuses to blame the victim. Very harmful to your soul. Listening and humility is not a virtue here, which is a discipline the Biblical heroes exhibited fruitfully. The church is to lead by example. So I give this place a 3 star, and that is fair assessment. read more

I am so grateful for the community that is Presence OC. It's a place to find family and the presence of God with sound teaching. You will love it. The pastors are amazing and teach from a deep love for the Lord and all people. The community is growing and amazing. I have searched for a great number of years for a Holy Spirit filled church family where miracles happen. Miracles do happen and often at Presence OC. My own personal walk and relationship with Jesus had been on fire :) my entire life is working so beautifully and I am going after healing and the ministry of Jesus daily. Holy Spirit is allowed to reign here. Worship is amazing and now it's posting on two screens for you to follow along if your uncertain of the lyrics. Prayer is always available and freedom to worship how the Spirit leads you is always encouraged. Some people dance and some dance with colorful flags. I really feel like I'm at a party for Jesus here. Many people have received physical healing during the services. One day the pastor gifted the congregation a free book for each. The love of God is definitely here. Available hot coffee is something I'm thankful for especially when I running late.
