Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.

Everyone is friendly and how cool is it to visit a farmers market right off highway 101?! We stopped by around 2pm and it was fairly busy, but not too crowded, though it was an hour or so before the end. We saw cool geodes, foraged mushrooms, a cute lil' bakery, a produce seller with fresh strawberries and peaches, creative art prints, and a vegan food truck among other vendors. It takes place on Sundays and if you are spending some time on the beach, you might as well see what treasures you can procure at the farmer's market, too!

Keep your pets at home or go on a cool day so they can stay in the car and you can visit a park after. Not a great variety and not anything I could do without EXCEPT the lady selling stuff that keeps mirrors, windshields, eye/sunglasses, and other things glass from fogging up. The sign said 1 for $7 and 4 for $20, but she offered me 1 for $5 and 3 for $10, so I got 3. An eclectic selection of produce and goods. Pretty small market, maybe 30 vendors. One vendor that was a standout was the bakery. By the time we got there around 11 they were mostly sold out - good for them. This is clearly a go-to vendor for the market and the locals know about it. A couple of great produce vendors, we bought some wonderful tomatoes and blackberries from one of the vendors and were very happy with them. There a couple of food carts, mexican and a breakfast place, both looked pretty promising. Jewelry, woven baskets, re-purposed clothing, all worth a look. A couple of weird booths, one with non-authentic indian artifacts and a place selling some special glass cleaning product ala "as-seen on TV" type of product. If you are passing through, get there early to try the baked goods and score some produce for your road trip.
