Booked room in December for May. Received confirmation, hotel charged my card. Day of the booking, we called to double check on booking. Receptionist told us our room was canceled. Our friends had the same thing happen on the same date / different room. After multiple calls, we found out that Amid had canceled our reservations. Hotel refused to offer us a room. Then they failed to provide a refund. IMO, this hotel is shady, and would avoid. A google search reveals lots of skepticism about providing credit card information - so we're not the first to get burned. read more

TERRIBLE. This was a bad experience- lobby was musty, dark and dirty. Parking lot was not plowed, walkway was not shoveled; it was dangerous. In the morning we were accosted by a homeless person sleeping on the couch in the lobby, with the staff's knowledge. It cost more than it should have and had it not been so late, we would not have stayed. Go elsewhere. This place has not been updated in many years and it probably never will be. This "hotel" is more like a hostel. There are absolutely no amenities! This means: no hot water to shower with, no soap to wash your hands, no towels, no heat in the room, no ice machine NOTHING! ZIP, ZILCH! Also, other people's belongings were in the room! I'm talking family photos and furniture etc. which, means they didn't clean the room! Such a pleasant stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and convenient location with everything in it: pool, gym, restaurant and bar. We definitely took full advantage of it . We really enjoy the view outside of our window, so pretty. If you stay here, I'd highly recommend to check it out their hot chicken wing competition and the nearby skiing spot. WORST experience EVER. 1st Billing we were billed an amount and handed a receipt for considerably less when questioned they don't refund sorry that's what you paid us 2nd floors are disgustingly dirty carpet hasn't been vacuumed in a while 3rd asked for extra pillows were told they found 1 that's it sorry 4th upon getting to the room the hand written code they gave us did not work had to walk back and forth to the front desk 4 times to finally get in almost late for our niece's wedding 5th rushed getting ready realized 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 wash cloth that's all that was in the bathroom 6th bed was broken woke up at 330 in the morning and both of us could barely walk 7th when we went to bed looked up and a hole in the ceiling 8th trash empty beer bottles etc at the entrance we were told to use 9th went to check out at 630 in the morning and a number on the glass stating call for assistance doors locked 10th LET FUEST KNOW THE TRUTH THAT WHEN YOU ARE ASKED A DIRECT QUESTION ARE THERE PEOPLE LIVING HERE TELL THE TRUTH ie plants in room windows, portable AC units hanging out them, multiple doors propped open, smoke smell in the hallway, even a cat in the window. For a small town hotel, it was about average. Decor was out-dated, there was a bit of a skunky smell in the hallway, and when someone in another room showered the noise was quite loud. Bed was hard, which unfortunately for my back was not a good thing. Two nights was my max on that bed. I like that parking was easy and check-in/out was quick. This is a clean basic place to stay in Aroostook County. Easy to find, good friendly customer service. Aaa/Aarp discounts. Pet friendly, thin walls, basic amenities. Pool was pretty cold, WiFi worked , tv worked, good water pressure in the shower. Good place to sleep and have breakfast, and have a base while you are in the area. The customer service was amazing when I stayed overnight at the PI Inn and Convention Center. They offered a shuttle service to take me to the plane early in the morning. The room was clean and quiet - just what I needed before my long trip to Oregon. They graciously allowed me to leave my car in their parking lot until I returned from my trip. I plan on staying there the evening I return, again being able to take advantage of their accommodating shuttle service. I do not believe this service is offered by any other motel in the area. I did check with two other similar motels and they did not offer a shuttle to the airport. I happily give them five stars for their customer service. read more

We stayed the last 2 nights. I found staff very helpful. Chachi the night clerk, great guy, had very long chats in early AM. They grateously moved us when our dog fell down the stairs due to his arthritis. The only reason i gave 4 and not 5 is because of covid restrictions, only two people in pool at once. read more

Upon entering we were greeted by Kammie. Front desk Lady. She was amazing friendly and kind. Very Knowledgeable and she did not miss a beat on explaining where our room was. She handled all of our needs and got us into a room. We stayed at the hotel for 2 days and had a great time. Pool was clean and so were the rooms. This is a review of just the dinner/lunch at Gram Russo's (since that doesn't exist on Yelp). The food is great, prices are reasonable, and the lemon-berry marscapone cake is amazzzzing. From the moment I walked in and had the delayed reception due to your employees discussing cleaning of rooms. Finally, after checking in we were headed towards our room when we realized we were not told where our room was located. We had to drive back and ask reception to direct us. When we finally got in our room we were immediately taken aback by the condition of the room. From the dirty carpet, filthy bathroom to stained furniture, to the curtains that did not fit which resulted in a lacking of privacy. Upon request to housekeeping for facial cloths, i was informed that they did not have any face clothes. There was no coffee for the coffee pot in the room. The one vending machine was completely empty. The safety issues from the poor lighting, unmarked parking spaces, to the rutted asphalt, the safety measures of the stairs were non existent. The railings on stairs there were none and their was no visible handicap parking ramps or elevator. My experience was terrible and disgusting I would never recommend your establishment in fact I would dissuade anyone from staying there. read more

What a HORRIBLE hotel! It's so old and so dirty I almost didn't stay. The only reason I did is because I was so tired I didn't want to lug everything back out to my car to go to another hotel. The first thing I heard on check-in was someone over the radio calling for maintenance to go fix an overflowing toilet in one of the rooms. That should have been my warning sign to leave. The toilet in my room didn't overflow but it BARELY flushed and it randomly kicked in and filled with water every 10-20 minutes all day and all night! And it was LOUD! It woke me up 3 or 4 times until I finally got out of bed and went and shut the water off. The walls are paper thin! I heard everything my neighbors were saying and doing. The pool is disgusting! They have a change room and sauna, but the sauna doesn't work and it smells like urine so even if it did work you wouldn't catch me going into it! I will NEVER stay in this hotel again! For what they're charging you would think they could put some money towards maintenance and repairs! Even the outside of the hotel looks run down and junky! read more

What this place has going for it is the friendly "mom and pop" feel of its service all day long. Also, it is cheaper than the Hampton Inn also in this town. Lastly, this place has one of the best restaurants (if not the best) in town. This place even arranged for a special-order 3-pound lobster to be brought in and cooked at the restaurant for me. It was an awesome experience. The wifi was free and fast enough. It was quiet which allowed for good sleep. Overall, a good place to stay and save some money. read more

If I could give a Zero star review, that's what I would leave. We had problems starting the moment we checked in. Our credit card was double charged at check in. When we showed this to the woman who checked us in, she was very helpful and immediately started processing a refund. This would take a few days to go through, but we had some extra money in our account, so we weren't worried. No problem, as long as we get it back. The next day at lunch, our credit card was charged an addition 2 times for our 2 night stay! A total of $954.72 cents taken from our account, when the total for the stay should only be $238.68. Our bank account was emptied! When we went to the office to figure out what was going on, we encountered the "General Manager" David Hellenthal, who was ANYTHING but helpful. He was condescending, unpleasant, and unprofessional. When speaking with a representative from our bank, he was disparaging of our credit card company to us, and to THE BANK REPRESENTATIVE, who was just trying to to do his job and help us figure out what happened to our money. After blaming everyone from the woman who checked us is, to our own bank for the overcharges.. Turns out, David Hellenthal had seen a refund processed on our account from the first double charge, and charged us again, without confirming why we were refunded in the first place! He still couldn't really explain the 4th charge, and wouldn't even admit that there was a 4th charge. Even though the bank representative told him there were definitely 4 separate charges. We have still only received 2 of the 3 refunds we are owed. I doubt we will see the 3rd without a fight, but we are speaking with the owner tomorrow, so we will see. This man shouldn't be managing a paperbag, let alone a motel. We will NOT be coming back, unless this man is no longer employed there. I do NOT recommend anyone else visit this establishment! read more

My husband has stayed here many time this past snowmobile season and has always been very happy with his experience. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. There aren't too many hotels in northern Maine, but this was a lifesaver! I was thankful for the heated pool after a long drive from Portland. It was large enough to do laps! I half expected a road-side motor lodge from the web description and images, but the hotel is well appointed with a bar, restaurant, meeting space, and WiFi.
