I'm growing out my natural hair and I don't really need curly cuts or full service anymore, just maintenance trims. I booked online and sent the $45 deposit via CashApp, which was the cost of the entire service. I don't actually own a blow dryer, so I washed my hair and brushed it out until it was straight-ish, and that was fine. My partner had a separate appointment and detangled his hair, but they charged him an additional blow drying fee (I don't think he brushed his hair out like I did, maybe that's why?). I showed up about 15 minutes early in the middle of a heat wave, Cece offered me a cold water, and Stephenie started working on me right away. She blow dried my hair a little bit more, with minimal heat. Stephenie was super communicative and showed me what she wanted to cut off. The trim wasn't really noticeable from a distance, which is exactly what I wanted. The salon itself is small and neat, and Stephenie and Cece are super friendly. Typically not a high conflict person but had a terrible experience here. When we got there Cece texted my stylist in front of my partner telling my stylist to tell me to tell my partner to leave. Totally understand salon standards as it was a small space but the entire situation was handle poorly. My partner realized they left with my bag and jacket so she came back to drop it off. There was no verbal exchange. Cece comes down in a rampage screaming at me. I explained the interaction made us uncomfortable and the conversation could've been had with us directly. She refused to give me my money back. The personal touch and customer service is not there. I wanted to leave after the first text exchange but was going to tough through it but I don't do yelling. Would not recommend... not because of the service but because the environment is not welcoming to spend 5 hours getting your hair done for $275. read more

I went to this studio back in mid-March. I decided to try it out for convenience. I really enjoyed the small personable design. it felt very comfortable. the stylist is so personable relatable and fun. the wash bowls are on the lower level and that area was designed so cutely. the color scheme is mostly black. there are snacks and drinks. this was one of the most memorable and best hair washings. it felt so good. it has just been sitting in my spirit for months that I got a small burn on my forehead from the press. She suggested cutting a piece of my hair that was uneven. I agreed to the additional cost and she simply snipped one piece she had in her hand instead of combing through my hair for a proper trim. I didn't mind out of support but it was expensive for a burn and a bad trim.I actually couldn't tell the trim wasn't good. someone had to let me know. I got a proper trim immediately the next month. She took care of me at the last minute when my Queens stylist (I see that person for second installations of bundles, as she is closest to where I live) cancelled on me suddenly-& on a Saturday. I was satisfied & grateful with CeCe's service. When CeCe announced on her Instagram that she was opening her own salon, I kept her in mind again. Little that the COVID-19 pandemic would have me seeking her services again, this time, her ex-salon cancelled on me (& a stylist that I'm yet to work with) as they closed before the cut-off date. Absolutely loved getting my hair done here!! Tia was my stylist and she was so nice and made me feel very comfortable the entire time. It was my first time getting my hair straightened in 2 years so I wasn't sure what the results would be. The entire process took about 2.5 hours (doing it myself is like 4, phew). I got a silk press, moisture treatment, and trim. Cece, the owner, is also fantastic. They both have great personalities and make you feel at home there. The music was great as well (R&B while getting your hair done is the best combo). Lastly, the salon is very clean and has a really cute modern Brooklyn design. I went to this salon over three weeks ago for my first silk press in over 5 years. From the moment I entered the salon CeCe was super nice and very accommodating. I explained to her my nervousness as it's been awhile since I've gotten a silk press. Cece made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way! CeCe is the best when it comes to doing my hair. She started installing my weave in May of 2016 and since then, she's been my go to when girl. I always feel fabulous walking away from her chair. She doesn't pull my edges tight and she always make sure that I'm comfortable with how everything is.
