Yes, we love our dog. Now, let's get a few things straight. First, we have had great care at Waldorf Emergency Care over the last 7-8 years. This has included multiple visits with our dog and our cats during that time. Dr. Fox has a lifetime of experience caring for all types of animals and is still committed to his clinic and patients. I have had the same experience with the other vets on duty, and also with the vet techs. Second, yes, there is actually a cost to pet care. Imagine that. Notice that each of the poor ratings were people complaining about the cost. It is an EMERGENCY CLINIC! Ever seen the cost of an ER visit at your local hospital? Jesus. If you can't afford the cost of care, either get pet insurance or a CareCredit card, or do NOT get a pet at all. Third, having observed many, many people in that waiting room over these years, I am astounded at the incredible impatience and outright sense of entitlement of so many pet owners. The pets are evaluated based on their conditions and rank ordered for care...no difference than in a hospital ER. Bottomline is that the poor reviews are not at all my experience. Read through them and see if $$$ is actually the core reason. That's what I got out of them.

Our cat had a terminal illness with tumors in his over extended twice the size belly. Only a cat scan showed it. But they didn't say that to us and it wasn't performed there. We were sent home with a 10 day supply of antibiotics. Our cat suffered for 2 more weeks before we took him to a different vet. It took her less than 10 minutes to find the tumors and because the cat was having a difficult time breathing and couldn't be cured: together we made the humane decision to put him down. We spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this vet and they could not figure out what was wrong with him. I'll tell you something though: they knew enough to ask us to pay for every other test imaginable; just not the one that would have helped our cat from suffering. Horrible, absolutely horrible experience here. Don't take your pet here. You will be robbed to the tune of a FEW THOUSAND dollars and your pet will not get the humane care it needs. This place needs to be put out of business.

There was very little wait, and the whole team was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Everyone, from the front desk staff, to the vet assistant, to the veterinarian, was patient, informative, and happy to answer questions. It had been many years since I owned a puppy so I genuinely appreciated how clearly they explained everything. My dog also appreciated the visit because he got plenty of treats, including one of those dental chew bones, which has quickly become his favorite. Another plus is the parking since they have their own lot with plenty of spaces, which makes the visit easy and convenient. Overall, it was a great first experience, and I'm glad to have found a place that takes such good care of my pup.

I called several times but no one answered. I finally decided to drop in during my lunch break just to make an appt. I've noticed one young lady primarily at the front working hard & multitasking. She apologized & said it's just her trying to take calls, check new clients in, & check people out. This is stressful and super annoying for clients... Later that day I noticed the vet needed a stool sample. I had questions but no one was available to answer my calls. However, when I delivered my dog for his check up, the team took good care of him. Called me 2x explaining what they noticed (he needs to lose a couple) & found a little debris in 1 ear. I authorized the cleaning & was able to purchase the ear cleaner from them which was convenient since Amazon didn't have it. The doc was taking wellness visits in between surgeries. I think Banfield can drastically improve the Customer Experience by adding at least 1 more front-desk employee. I shouldn't have to burn up precious time and gas to make appointments & ask basic questions.

When my dog had grown too sick to go on, it was he that grabbed my leash and brought me back to reality. I am very thankful for him and his team. Khloe will soon celebrate her 15th birthday and is set in her ways. She's really not "into" hanging out with a veterinarian, but that's life. She made a lot of noise to let me (and Dr. Nickens) know that this exam was not on her schedule. But Dr. Nickens was very patient with Khloe, calmed her down (even long enough to take a blood sample). Dr. Nickens was great, and her fees are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend her.

She is not only an excellent vet but she also does all the paperwork we need for insurance and for the service dog organization from which we received the dog. She is organized and takes careful notes. We have two dogs and it is definitely cost effective to have her examine more than one animal at a time. She is transparent in her pricing and the ease of having her come to the house really helps with our elderly dog and cat. I like her calm demeanor and her willingness to listen. She offers pros and cons to various treatment options which I like.
