The owner has a bunch of dogs behind the counter yapping and going off on every customer. When I walked in, the owner wasn't there, the dogs were running around and going off, stressing my dog out immediately. No one was around for over 15 minutes and when I finally met the owner, she was short and tempered. She made my dog even more nervous with her behavior. She also didn't let me go to the back where my dog would be staying. Groomer smelled like weed. But the smell was overwhelming from lack of cleaning. It's unprofessional, chaotic and disorganized, overly decorated and eye-busy. The owner also has NO business bringing in cats with the amount of dogs barking and running around.

Dr. Lane and his team (including Dr. Gallagher, Terri, Marcy, Daniel, and ZACH!) at Ridgewood Animal Hospital are our partners in treating our kitty for Stomatitis and then some. He's not out of the woods yet... likely another laser treatment and taking a sample for the right antibiotic to banish the deep-throat infection making it nearly impossible to eat anything shy of puree (even pate' has to be made softer!) The Dude's first vet visit was the week following his adoption on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov 26). He snores lightly when his head is upside down, but it's magnified from some of his sleeping cubbies. #TooCute. Since then, Dr. Lane has been in touch with the NC vet who pulled the back teeth, researched the issues related to The Dude's symptoms, and lined us up with another local vet who could perform laser surgery to callous his gums and stop them from getting sore, oozing, and infected. The Dude is 10 years old but soft and grateful to my husband and I and the folks who are taking care of him. And I'm so grateful to the whole team for the little bit of Love and Comfort magnified by going through these health challenges together. The older woman at the front desk is not personable and is very rude. I should've known during the…read moreinitial phone call when I scheduled the appt for my puppy that I should go elsewhere, but alas, I kept the appt. The day of the appt I walked in and was greeted with a stagnant, "who do we have?" as a response to my "good morning! How are you?" Any questions I had were responded to with irritation and I was told to "just wait over there, they'll get you when they're ready." The vet tech I had interaction with was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The vet wasn't the most personable person, but he wasn't rude either. He did answer my questions, but I feel like he barely looked at my puppy, and then we were charged $160 for a visit. My husband took our puppy back yesterday to get a shot - he was also given meds for diarrhea (which we had brought in a stool sample that was CLEARLY not diarrhea) - confused he asked the front desk why he was prescribed that med if the stool sample wasn't loose - the person at the front says "oh. you can refuse it if you want..." He refused and the bill dropped $55. Needless to say, we will not be back and we will be finding another vet. It's a shame because it is close to home. But I am sure we will find better elsewhere.
