I have been taking my babies here for years…read moreand in the beginning(with Dr Krauss) they did a wonderful job but the care has steadily declined over the years with almost no contact with an actual Vet in the last couple of years. After taking my dog in and her getting a clean bill of health on June 8th on June 19th I had to take her back in for excessive bleeding in her mouth, thinking maybe she had an infected tooth we were given the crushing news that she had an aggressive tumor growing in her jaw. We were told of our few options, and we went home with a couple of prescriptions and agonized over what to do. After spending a day or two crying, having to watch my poor baby continuously bleeding from her mouth(at times heavily) we sadly made the decision to end her suffering. Wanting her to go peacefully, at home and in her own bed My husband spent days building her a box and digging a grave (in the rain) for her forever home. We went in on the 23rd and tried to make an appointment for June 26th but we were told they could not be here until June 27th so we spent a very emotional week waiting for what we hoped would be a peaceful transition but what we endured was an excruciating ordeal that I'm not sure we will ever recover from. After taking care of my baby for years and knowing her size and weight they neglected to bring enough tranquilizer to put her to sleep. She was terrified and when they tried to give it to her she started to get up and the vet just jabbed it into her, making her cry out in pain. Instead of maybe leaving the room to let her calm down they waited a few minutes and preceded to give her the next 2 shots as my husband held her, I had to look into those terrified eyes while they did this. The only words from the vet (Dr Knick) was "she's gone" and the young lady with her mumbled "sorry for your loss" as they walked out the door. I am sharing my story because I don't want anyone else to have to endure this. Maggie gave us almost 10 years of unconditional love and I had to watch her leave here in terror instead of peace and I don't know if we will ever get over that look in her eyes, she deserved so much better than that! I scheduled on a Monday and canceled on that Tuesday morning as she is deathly afraid of thunder and lightning and that's what was being called for. I rescheduled for Thursday of the same week. I was informed that the groomer charged $40.00 for a cancelation fee even though I rescheduled her for 2 days later. I arrived Thursday and was informed at the desk that I had a $40.00 late fee from Tuesday and could pay it when I picked my girl up. I arrived to pick her up when she was finished and was told my total was $20.00 more than what I was told at drop off. I questioned the additional charge and was told that the cancelation fee from Tuesday was $60.00, not $40.00. It was in the computer as $40.00 at drop off and changed during the 1 1/2 hours she was there. I argued the increased and also pointed out the young girl sitting behind the cashier that she was present during the conversation (who I think was the daughter of the lady that quoted the $40.00) but heaven forbid she speak up. What a joke!!! This place scams you for money. BE CAREFUL!!!

However, recently I purchased an add-on collar for a 2nd dog on my PetSafe in-ground containment system. The product looked identical to what I needed, but was not compatible. The store refused to allow me to return it because the package was opened, even though I had a receipt and it was within one week of purchase. They won't accept returns on anything electronics, even if completely unused. They told me to call PetSafe, but the manufacturer won't accept it because I didn't purchase directly. I'm now out $160, unless I can recoup some funds via ebay. I've primarily been shopping there for the last couple years only to support a local business. I really can't believe they have left me hanging on this, rather than just accept the product and deal with the back office work of handling a return. When I conveyed that I just like supporting someone local, the clerk responded with, "you ARE supporting us [with this sale], we just can't take it back because the package is opened. Give PetSafe a call." What a joke. Feel free to be a patron, but you better know what you're purchasing because they ultimately don't care.

The cabins are not only heated and cooled but incredibly spacious. The grounds are extremely well taken care of and provide ample running space for pups during their outings. And the people who work here are so incredibly caring. I feel thankful every day that we have found this amazing space. My moms dogs have been here since around May of 2025 and they are so loved and taken care of, it helps ease our hearts knowing how well they are being treated at Dancing Creek Farm. If you need a long or short term boarding, this is absolutely the best place to go.

I have also never worked with a breeder who seemed sincerely interested that her pups remain happy and healthy throughout their life. Seeking Shalom Acres raises her pups in the home with her husband and nine children. As a result, my puppy was already well socialized and confident, and nearly 100% potty trained. I have never experienced bringing a puppy home and after just two days was successfully going potty on her wee pads 90% of the time. It was the easiest transition/training period ever! Seeking Shalom Acres has an informative and fun Facebook and YouTube channel. Once I purchased our puppy, they provided a complete puppy manual, a puppy checklist....I have never been so prepared to bring a new puppy home.
