    Doggy

They have helped my bulldog Lucy with her little delicate self. She suffers from allergies and we move every year. So it's important we keep her treatment the same since we have found what works best for her. They are extremely kind and helpful and loving towards our baby. Very gentle and informative as well. Each dr truly cares for your pet.

They were completely BOOKED but MADE ROOM for our dog to be seen very last minute. We had already been provided vet that told us to just give him chicken breast! They didn't help treat the issue or help with pain medication or nutrients. If Lake Forest hadnt worked him in, he would have been suffering and in pain! He would not have overcome without their help! I love this vet as they are very knowledgeabl, skilled, and understanding. They do not over charge by running a lot of tests. They know specifically what to do to treat the root cause issue. Thank you Susanne who answers the phones and helped get our dog in, Dr. Holly, and staff!! You are HERO's!!! Thank you for making a difference!!!!!! Had to leave another five star review! I attached a photo of our eldely Maltipoo that they treated and helped save! I was scared we wouldn't get another Christmas with him but looks like we will get another one thanks to Lake Forest Animal Hospital! This photo was Christmas last year!

Our pups towel that he sleeps with still smells like laundry deterrent (it obviously wasn't given to him), his dry food, wet food and treats were still in the bag we dropped off. We left specific feeding instructions and obviously not followed as he should have nothing left over after 4 days. We even called to check on him yesterday and asked if he was doing well, eating well. We were reassured that he was. We picked him up at 2:30 this afternoon and charged for another full day because "it was after 1PM". We were told we had to pick up by 5:00PM, no mention of extra charge if after 1PM. Zero stars... never again!

Dr. Dove and May examined her and then spent a great deal of time discussing end of life issues. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make but I realized that she was in pain and made that difficult decision. Dr. Dunn, May, Abby and Cassy were so kind and supportive! I love my dogs passionately and couldn't have gotten through it without that. I prefer Pawprints because they spend all the time needed to evaluate your pet and discuss options with you. And never push for unnecessary drugs or tests. And every staff member that I have dealt with has been kind and caring.

The kind where they charge a credit card surcharge, the floors are sticky, the snacks are sad, and the vibe is questionable? Now imagine a doctor's office using that same financial blueprint. I brought my mom's elderly chihuahua in for an impromptu urgent care visit. The office itself is lovely: clean, quiet, comfy seating, relaxing music, and WiFi strong enough to get work done. The wait was long (about 4 hours), but it is urgent care, so no complaints there. Once we were seen, the vet techs were kind, the doctor was thorough, and the bloodwork was done quickly on site. They told me the cost of each test beforehand, a little high but not wildly outside what I expected. Here is where things went left. When it was time to check out, the front desk staff (who were otherwise very nice) came out and announced the total at full volume. I am not a fan of people being in my financial business, and I am sure other people do not want me in theirs. Earlier, another woman was told her dog's treatment would be $900, loud enough that the entire waiting room reflexively made a "yikes" face. Helpful? No. Awkward? Yes. Financial privacy? Nonexistent. But the real kicker: I was told that paying with a credit card adds a 3 percent surcharge, but paying in cash or debit does not. A cash preferred doctor's office? Where people are routinely dropping hundreds of dollars? It felt extremely greedy. To be fair, if they are going to have this policy, it should at least be clearly posted on the door, at the counter, anywhere. Give people a heads up before they are stuck choosing between hundreds in cash or a surprise surcharge. Transparency is not hard, and it goes a long way. When I asked why, the staffer shrugged and said, "It is to cover the credit card charge. Other places do it." Me: "Yeah, gas stations." Him: "We do not make the policy." I guess. Overall: 4 stars for care, 1 star for nickel and diming people like a sketchy downtown storefront.

The day of the appt I walked in and was greeted with a stagnant, "who do we have?" as a response to my "good morning! How are you?" Any questions I had were responded to with irritation and I was told to "just wait over there, they'll get you when they're ready." The vet tech I had interaction with was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The vet wasn't the most personable person, but he wasn't rude either. He did answer my questions, but I feel like he barely looked at my puppy, and then we were charged $160 for a visit. My husband took our puppy back yesterday to get a shot - he was also given meds for diarrhea (which we had brought in a stool sample that was CLEARLY not diarrhea) - confused he asked the front desk why he was prescribed that med if the stool sample wasn't loose - the person at the front says "oh. you can refuse it if you want..." He refused and the bill dropped $55. Needless to say, we will not be back and we will be finding another vet. It's a shame because it is close to home. But I am sure we will find better elsewhere.

Our area has needed a skilled, talented, empathetic, and financially feasible veterinarian for a long time. Their practice and all staff have been amazing to work with, even under the most stressful of situations. We've only had large animal emergencies (back to back within weeks) but we'll continue to refer others to him and be using him when normal visits resume. I cannot thank Riverside enough for what he provides to our community and animals.

I was told he had a completely torn ACL and needed a very expensive surgery. This was alarming enough, but things quickly went downhill from there. I wanted a second opinion, which any responsible pet owner should be able to get without resistance, yet the clinic refused to send over his bloodwork and scans when requested. After a lot of back and forth, they finally sent the records--but unbelievably, they had scanned the wrong leg. This kind of error is completely unacceptable, especially when it leads to such a serious (and costly) diagnosis. It makes me question the accuracy of everything they told me. To make matters worse, they refused to offer any refund or even a credit despite their mistake and the stress they caused. Between the misdiagnosis, poor communication, and lack of accountability, I have zero confidence in their care. I strongly recommend others seek veterinary services elsewhere. *Go to Diamond Hill where they have empathy and compassion. *
