This is a pawn shop that is very near to my office so one lunch break I decide to pass the time and…read morego there. I had to go downstairs and into a long corridor, both the entry way and the hallway was caked with footprints and mud and at the end of my journey I found a tiny little area with a windowed counter. I asked if I could see their merchandise and they guy behind the window looked very sketchy, I had to do a double take inside my head and ask myself did I really want to do this? He led me into a small room with bad shelving and an assortment of very old used articles, mostly relics of printers and copies of VHS movies. I feigned my enthusiasm and asked about prices, I certainly didn't want to insult him. So I politely said thank you and practically ran out the store. Do not go here folks, it's just plain scary.

You don't come here to get a lot of money, you just come to get a few bucks from something that would just sit idle in a drawer somewhere. I wonder sometimes while looking at various engagement rings the story that was behind them being pawned ? Oh well, whether you need some extra cash or just like looking around at some old treasures. I have full confidence in Halls, in any future auctions. My one star is changed to 5+ I am looking forward to future Heartland auctions. They do not respond well to communication to correct problems that they created. I was shipped an item that was different than what I won the bid on. It took an investigation of my bank to correct the refund difference. In addition to that a certificate of authenticity has not been corrected. They have failed to respond to my correspondence on the corrected certificate. This was the Heartland auction

I contacted them after my mother died to inquire about consigning some sets of vintage china and an antique bed frame to their January auction. You can imagine the stress of trying to handle her estate while grieving her death. Several months, many further e-mail inquiries and phone calls later, and January came and went without an answer. One time I did get a call from Matt Riches after complaining that he wasn't returning my calls. He was snotty on the phone, calling me "ma'am" in a very condescending tone. He asked me to take photos of the items and e-mail them, which I did, the next day. No response. Finally I sent an e-mail saying, look, if you don't want to work with me, just say so and I will move on. Then a call saying, oh yes, we may be able to do something. That was the last I heard. I spoke with several people at the estate sale saying that they were awful to deal with from a buyer's point of view as well. I won't find that out for myself because I will never try to deal with them again. I don't recommend that anyone else try, either.

If he's not around he leaves the store in the capable hands of his female assistant Sharifa, or Male assistant Din. The store has had a couple of remodels since I've started coming here. I come here because they are personable and have got some good prices as compared to their competition. Also here at the warehouse they have a good selection of wrist watches along with some unique wall clocks. If you need a one stop place to get a watch I'd definitely give this place a look. They service watches as well. The ones they don't they can send out for repair. The only thing I wish is that they were closer to me, or that might be a bad thing too. I live in the deep south and they are located in a strip mall off 32nd ave. Just west of Joey's restaurant.
