I am editing this review bc I found out YELP has removed 31 negative reviews, I'm sure there is a way to pay for removal. If you go to "not recommends reviews" and go through all of them you can see at the end he has had 31 reviews removed. No pre op for surgery My 3 year old was intubated in his office (every dentist I consulted with told me this was not normal) Not conservative when recommending treatment Poor follow up after dental procedures No on call physicians for dental emergency too busy taking vacations My son had zero dental pain and now he's in the worst still 2 months after procedure Crown fell off a day after procedure Dental abcesses 2 months after procedure when again my son had no issues before besides demineralization we believed him when trying to be "preventative" and everything we were trying to avoid from happening actually happened WITH the treatment. He was is the most pain for weeks!!!!! My sons 2 front teeth are infected after his treatment. Please google him prior to having any treatment. I am writing this review based on my own experience. Luckily his current dentist is THE best and said these dentists need to be more conservative. She felt so bad for us she didn't even charge us bc she felt so sorry for him. She said his teeth had a little trauma from a fall when he was little and that they were going to fall out sooner rather than later and he should NOT have done what he did to my son. read more

My daughter has severe anxiety! We attempted cleaning in the past at another place and all the bright lights, people standing over her, the tools and sounds she was a nervous mess and had no work done. Knowing she had to have her teeth cleaned I did a lot of talking to friends and reading reviews to several doctors in DFW. I decided to try this place and the staff and doctor are seriously THE BEST!! I was a little unsure about the room appearing dark and the dental chairs in an open setting but it was soothing and calming. Dental assistant, Jackie, was very patient and answered all of my daughters questions. Jackie knew when to gently start the cleaning without making the tools visible. Doctor was exceptional!! Amazing family dentist! Dr. Riehs is incredible and his team go above and beyond to ensure comfort for their patients. We started going to Dr. Riehs a little over a year ago for our 4 year old son. The week following the visit our son asked to go back multiple times! Shortly after my husband and I started going as well. Dr. John has changed the way my son feels about visiting the dentist. When we arrived to the office a very professional young lady greeted us and made us feel welcome. We filled out any necessary paperwork and sat down to wait for our turn. In the waiting area they have two TVs with kids movies playing at all times. Also, there's a section full of toys for the kids to play. When it was our turn two assists came out (I assume one was training) and greeted us. They explained what we procedures they were going to do and how they were going to approach my son about it so he wouldn't be scared. After my son was comfortable Dr. John came out, introduced himself and asked if I had any questions, concerns -which I did- once we were done discussing my concerns he approached my son and very calmly waited to gain his trust. I've remained a loyal patient with Dr Reihs for years and am about to start bringing my little one to him once she pops that first tooth! Dr. Riehs is amazing! He was so great with our son for his first appointment, who was not happy or cooperative at all. He showed my son how he cleans teeth on a toy monster, talked with him very patiently, gave him a toy then scheduled us again 6 months later for another try. Our son was looking forward to going back and did great!! It was incredible. Dr. Riehs has been my whole family's dentist for 2 years now. He's personable, genuine, transparent, and has taught me more than I've ever known about teeth/gum care. Dr. Riehs and his team are fantastic. I came in for the first time from a previous dentist who was suggesting I get 2 crowns done. I felt it was a bit odd, so a friend recommended I come see Dr. Riehs. He was able to get me in quickly and concluded all I needed was 2 fillings. He did an outstanding job on the procedure and was able to calm my life-long nerves of being in the dentist's chair. Plus, he saved me a boat load of money on unnecessary crowns. You walk in and there are grass mats in the floor and the entry way totally flooded with soft sunlight, toys, and movies. My kid was at ease. On the way out she saw another kid with a balloon and said "Dad, they have balloons here!" She was sold. For me it was the receptionist taking the time to call my dental insurance provider and double checking it for me. My provider wasn't one they had typically worked with but there were no issues. The new patient forms were all on the iPad (I'm a millennial can you tell?) and that's so much better. I loathe paper forms. Oh yeah! The dentist checked her out explained his observations and took time, no rushing, to answer my questions. We will be back. read more

I honestly can't believe I have never written a review until now! I have been taking my kiddos here for about 5 years and I was so impressed that I began to use them as my primary dentist (yes they treat adults too!). Dr Riehs is patient, kind, explains everything, extremely knowledgeable, and has a conservative approach! I can also say that I have never had a pain free filling before until him! I take both my small daughters (1 and 3) to Dr R. and they look forward to seeing him and the staff. Being smaller, they are impressed less w the decor and more with the toys and stuffed animals, which there are an ample supply! They love the colored toothbrushes to take home, and the many flavors to taste during treatment. Loooovvveee seeing Dr.Riehs and his staff when I come to get my cleanings and dental needs! They are so accommodating and make sure you understand everything they are doing and why. I had a small chip in my bottom tooth that had been there since I could remember and have seen several dentist since the chip and not one explained to me that eventually with my history of grinding and may possibly end up with my nerve becoming exposed! How painful would that be!!! Dr. Riehs bonded my tooth at my cleaning with no anesthetic and I felt nothing! I have felt more during cleanings at other offices then I did with my tooth being bonded! He also fixed a little cosmetic flaw for me as well, my teeth were becoming a little more squared off at the edges and Dr. Riehs was kind enough to explain that women's teeth are typically round on the edges and fixed this for me in just a few seconds while it was a very subtle fix no one else would of noticed but I did! They are so great about reminding me my 6 month cleaning is coming up and they are always so flexible with my crazy schedule!! Dr. Rieh's practice is able to efficiently and competently juggle all 3 of my boys at their bi-annual visits at the same. The boys love the TVs all over the bright, friendly main room. Sunglasses instead of goggles during their cleaning, an x-ray machine that can be used without the kids having to break eye contact with the tvs and change for the toy vending machine at the end of their appointment are thoughtful perks. Both of my kids had a great experience here. Their ages are 13 and 9. Dr. Riehs is very nice, patient and explains everything. He always has the latest and greatest in tooth care and great preventative measures. Parents are encouraged to come back v being made to wait in a waiting room while kids are being treated. After multiple bad/traumatic experiences with another pediatric provder, I worked diligently to find another Dentist for my 6yr old daughter who could hopefully resolve her fears and change her attitude about dental care.
