My 8 month old was still very fussy and pulling at his right ear on Sunday 5/3 so we brought him back in thinking that the medication did not cure his ear infection. He saw Troy Kaiser and he said he still had a right ear infection and called him in cefdinir, which is stronger. I took him in today 5/5 for his 8 month check up and his PCP was angry to learn my son was diagnosed with an ear infection when his ear is perfectly normal, no redness or irritation inside the ear. He had us completely stop the medication. Doctor's are supposed to be trustworthy but always trust your gut and get a second opinion- especially when it comes to giving an 8 month old unnecessary medication for an issue he does not have.

Dr. John David Kolter is new to the world of private practice and has a lot to learn about patient care. I met with Dr. Kolter for my initial visit and general physical exam. I started by telling him that I have Asthma and that I needed a prescription for Xopanex. He had my medical records in front of him which include all prescriptions from my previous doctor, including Xopanex. He told me that he felt that I should have some extensive ($768) tests to "make sure I really had Asthma." I felt there was no way to get the prescription without taking a very expensive Pulmonary Function Test and coming back for a follow-up appointment to discuss the results and get a prescription (creating another insurance bill). I spent 5 hours at the Baptist East Hospital taking this Pulmonary Function Test, just to confirm what I've known since I was 8 and what was written in my records that he had in front of him! It was a total waste of my time and the total cost to me after insurance was $768.46 for the test alone. Plus another office visit that cost me $104.00. I'd been fleeced! I can't recommend going to this practice due to the fleecing I experienced from both Dr. Kolter and his insurance coding vultures that charged me for every little thing that I mentioned in my interview. This is the epitome of modern legalized extortion. Save your money and find a more experienced doctor who knows how to trust their patient and read their patient's history before prescribing a bunch of needless tests and avoid this predatory insurance-coding practice.

A couple of years later, following a broken elbow, she advised me which ER to visit and then had a back-up plan if they were too busy to see me.
