This is a must to go to if you're in the area or willing to travel! I wish I would've got a picture but I failed to. I got a flight of beer, and I can honestly say that all choices were really good! I had to give the jalapeno beer a second chance, but after I had some food on my tongue it was excellent. The sheep milk cheese and sourdough was excellent, the salmon salad which was a special was excellent, and the truffle fries were good as well! I honestly can't say enough. Service was great, the wait was not terribly long even with the one woman show in the kitchen. We sat out on the patio and it was a beautiful area. What an amazing place!!! It is such a treat to find a restaurant where they truly take pride in the food they serve!!! The Friday night sandwiches and snacks menu is limited but it doesn't matter because the Tuna melt is the best I've ever had and the smoked burgers are out of this world fantastic!!! If you're a beer drinker you'll get a kick out of this place too! There are soooo many wonderful options it may just blow your mind...for me, I love the root beer!!! Amazing. Why does it have to be soooo far from home?!?? Great retreat or date night! Beer and food amazing.

While visiting family we were told about this organic family farm / brewery. It sounded right up our alley so we made the trek to Prestonrose. It was everything and more, the drive was beautiful, the location was full of life and color and the atmosphere could not be beat. We were seated in one of the indoor rooms and it was a great escape from the humidity and heat. Inside the room was a nicely appointed space that didn't miss the mark on any details. With a beautiful centerpiece (cedar table), themed lighting/decor, games and books for little ones there was something for everyone. Outside there was chalk and stencils to allow artists to leave their mark on the wooden fencing. The staff was amazing, attentive and so friendly. They took their time describing the food and drinks and service was great. We felt right at home and were treated like old friends. The food was excellent and the portions were quite healthy in size. In their main enclosed room, there were several goods for sale. Unfortunately, the shirt I wanted was not available but luckily it can be purchased online and shipped (yay!) This place is a true gem and is the real deal. In the words of my SIL, "this place is a whole vibe" and that is was! We hope to be back the next time we come to Arkansas! read more

I was staying in Russellville and saw this "brew farm" was a 40min drive away and had to check it out. It was well worth the drive! It's owned by a couple - Mike and Liz and all the cooking is done by Liz. When I walked in, Mike introduced himself and explained how everything worked. Since I was by myself, he introduced me to another woman to go sit with. Everybody was so friendly! He gave me a number to take to my table and poured me a flight of all 7 beers which was only $7! As for food, they only serve a full menu on Saturday and Sunday. The menu changes weekly and all the ingredients come from local farms. They had 3 other people working who would come around and take your food order, serve the food, bus the tables, etc. I didn't take a picture of the menu, but there were about 8-10 options (2 desserts) and about half of them were vegan/vegetarian. I ordered the biscuits which were filled with cheese, sautéed greens, and chorizo served with a side of beer cheese for $10. They were delicious! Overall I loved this place and would recommend it for anyone who is remotely in the area! read more

PrestonRose Farms is a labor of love. There's no way on God's green earth that any entrepreneur looking for success in the beer and food business would do what Preston and Liz are doing. Everything about PrestonRose Farms is counterintuitive: 1. It's in the middle of nowhere. 2. The final approach from the highway has that eerie feel of "I've made a bad wrong turn" with a faint sound of "dueling banjos" off in the distance. 3. The primary seating area is outside under the open sky. 3. How can this possibly work given points 1, 2, & 3?? Yet there they are, and like to movie says, "If you build it they will come". I know Preston from my job down river so I've been hearing about the "beer farm" for several years but until this evening had never made a visit. By all measures, the trip was worth every single mile of the 80 it took getting there and back. Preston greeted my wife and me with his familiar gregarious personality I've known for years. Not being a beer person, he recommended a "flight" of seven samples from the day's brew; each having their own unique character reflective of Liz's brewmaster expertise and seasonally available ingredients. I can't explain all the differences, but each was unique and delicious in its own right. Being Cinco De Mayo weekend, my real interest was with what Liz was cooking. My wife has the enchilada, I had the tacos, and we split an order of chips and queso. I cannot say enough to describe how good everything was. The ingredients are all organically grown, prepared to order, and sourced from the farm itself or other local producers. It's not hyperbole to say this was easily the BEST "Mexican" food I've ever enjoyed. The long term plan is to construct a much larger restaurant and brewery right there on the farm and make it a full time operation (meals are only served on weekends). When that happens, Preston Rose Farms will cease to be the small operation it is today. Do yourself a favor and don't wait to make a visit. There's a charm and ambience that will be difficult to retain as the volume of guests inevitably increases. Great job Preston and Liz with making the beer farm what it is now and what it will become in the future. You've built something very special out in the middle of nowhere. read more

We came for the wine fest and ended the day at Prestonrose! She makes some pretty amazing beers and our food was great! Luckily, the chef is a Vegetarian so I had a delicious veggie soup. (No red meat for me) The rest of our group had pork green chili stew, inside-out tamale & chips and cheese! We all Left happy and full. Really cool place! We started out at an outside table, but as it got dark we moved inside. They took great care of us - such a warm family vibe. read more

This place was awesome. In Virginia we have a ton of craft beer places and the beer at Prestonrose was just as good or better than those. Food was awesome and the atmosphere was really cool. What a gem! Phenomenal beer, great food! We wanted to try some local beer and we were not disappointed. Started with a flight and all were delicious. All the beers were explained with great detail of body, significance, and locality. Home grown hops and local coffee beans. The food menu was a Korean theme this evening. Local protein and veggies. The food was amazing. We had fresh edamame and grilled peppers to start and then on to the main course. All the flavors and textures were spot on. Awesome to find great Korean food in Arkansas, farm to table was just icing on the cake. These folks are doing it right. Must try for sure, definitely worth the short drive. read more
