They were all extremely polite and handled the situation in a stellar manner as to not add any stress to the situation. They stood by and wait for our friend to finish eating. There was an employee at each kiosk to assist. Perfect! I was glad she was there to help me. My name did not show up. So, we used my case number and did an easy check in. Then we all waited for the instructions. The young lady speaking over a microphone was so soft spoken and did not enunciate her words properly-no one hear her! But, then I heard my name-I went up to her desk and my Lawyer was already up there. He had taken care of everything and I was excused. I don't know if I have to rerun or not. I will be notified if I have another date set or not. I'm Pros:very organized and plenty of Police and Bailiffs to help. Things moved pretty fast. Cons: they need to have someone who can speak louder when calling the names of the people. They state they will only call your name once. If you don't hear her, you're screwed! So SPEAK IP! Come on J-ville, feature your beautiful architectural history!!! The hallway with photographs has an image of the building with other buildings including a hotel that were in the area before the great fire.

City Hall is located across the street from Hemming Plaza. You're going to have to park on the street and feed a meter (unless you have a handicapped parking permit in which case you can park for free and aren't required to feed the meters). Parking can be quite hard to find downtown, so bring some patience with you. I remember being amazed the first time I walked into City Hall because I wasn't expecting the inside of the building to be so beautiful. It's so large and clean. I was and still am very impressed with the way the COJ keeps City Hall maintained. It is a government building, so make sure not to bring in any weapons. I really shouldn't have to say that, but I know some people do have a concealed license permit and they carry them. It can be a little confusing to navigate the building, but there are plenty of people around to help you find the office you are looking for.

My…read morehusband served 20 years in the Navy and every time I visit one of the Navy bases, the feeling is "It's Home". My husband just recently passed away and it was time to renew my ID. The professionalism, friendly atmosphere and helpful agents was overwhelming. Even though I had an appointment, I didn't have to wait long. What I did notice in the clean and orderly waiting room was that the turn-over of incoming people was truly amazing. The Amtrak station wasn't crowded; it was clean and the staff was very pleasant. There seems to have been some renovations going on at the station, which is good. It was an easy process to check our luggage and just wait on the train, which was delayed a bit. Of note, there were delays throughout the trip. Not one time was any of the trains ever on time. There were multiple stops along the way to pick up travelers and to drop off travelers at various stations. But we always made the next connection. This was our first train ride of this kind. Both my husband and I wanted the experience of an overnight train ride. We traveled from Jacksonville to New York City (overnight), then caught another train (9-hour ride; Coach seats very comfortable; very ample leg room) from New York City to Niagara Falls, then took a taxi across the border to the Canadian side. Though we paid for a "first class" experience, the accommodations were definitely not "first class." Definitely need an upgrade in terms of the rooms. Still, the experience of traveling and not having to deal with anything near the stress of catching a flight was just very satisfying. We purchased the bedroom and the space was very tight, but it was private and peaceful. Enjoying the scenery along the way was awesome. The meals were good and the service we received was top notch. With the meals, we had the option of eating in the dining room, or having our meals brought to our room. We exercised both options throughout the trip. Note, there is a "cafe" on board the train as well for those who were riding coach and for anyone who wanted to purchase food in between meals. On our return trip back, we had a bit of a layover in NY so we were able to enjoy the lounge (complimentary food, spacious seating area). The staff at the station in NY City train station were simply amazing; so very helpful and with great attitudes - considering the hustle and bustle!
