He kept the energy of the group up the whole night, even through the typically boring experience of being released from our tables to go to the buffet line. Ethan made it fun with a hilarious and totally random "trivia" game. He did a nice job of managing the group and the flow of the guests, and sped the game up as needed. He was so fun to listen to and he kept it real and very funny while being respectful especially when introducing people for their speeches, etc. When the dance floor opened up, that's when he really got to shine. He's an actual DJ who mixes songs, vs just playing full streams of songs one after the other, making the dance floor the go-to spot all night. It was never empty and we never had any of those awkward lulls where everyone just stands around waiting for the next song. He let us know early on that he takes requests, so I was off to show him my list, which he took a photo of. He even joined in with dancing and singing! As the tagline suggests, Michael's act is a combination of humor and magic - mocking magic while simultaneously impressing the audience with magic. Knowing that Michael also performed for corporate and other types of events besides university programming, I asked him to attend a Tweetup with about 100 people. He performed tricks during networking, and the crowd fell in love with him when he finally performed his act. A few months later when I was organizing a fundraiser, I used him as the main attraction - folks from the first event showed up eager to see him again as well as many new faces. I got tremendous feedback from his performance - and of course I loved it, despite having heard most of the jokes and seen the tricks three times, his act still makes me smile! At the event, he served as the emcee, tuxedo and all, leading the event through all of the stages right on time. We've since attended a couple other weddings and frankly the DJs at those didn't hold a candle to the professionalism and leadership that we experienced from Sound Impressions. We did not utilize the photo booth or the fog machine - add-ons that they have available.
