Something to note, bloat is a life-threatening condition that often presents with vague signs and progresses rapidly. Instead, Reacher was drooling excessively, refusing food, and suffering from severe diarrhea. Sandy's intuition and evaluative judgment led to that crucial appointment. What followed was 48 hours of intense anxiety for our family, as we were out of town and Reacher's fate now rested in the hands of the exceptional team at Mason Dixon Animal Emergency Hospital. It looked to us like another dog took a big bite between her neck and shoulder. They either do not monitor the dogs or put aggressive breeds in.
