I have had pretty sweet YYC in the past before! When I had them in the past I had the apple pie chart that they make around the holiday season... The holiday season being Christmas and Thanksgiving lol! Today however I had the privilege to try three of their macaroons and all I can say is that all three were so delicious! Always on the lookout for a fabulous cake bakery. In Calgary, I found it here. I ordered three different cakes for three different occasions in the span of one week. It's important to order ahead as they do get many orders. I love the scalable sizes of cakes you can order all depending on the amount of persons you want to feed. I have never seen a place that offers so many different sizes and variety of flavors and icing. It's truly a place where you can customize your cake! Hard to find this location as it is on the side of a strip mall, however when you do, it's a wonderful surprise! I purchased a cookie sandwich, two donuts, and a macaron. The shop is really cute with some retail items for purchase. The donuts were cakey and not deep fried like usual, they were a real treat and the pricing is phenomenal! $2.75ea compared to other places. $3.50+ for a gourmet donut.. One of the coolest and prettiest bakeries in all of Calgary. Amazing cakes for birthdays or special events. You can go into the shop a couple hours on the weekends to grab some goodies ! But make sure you get there as soon as they open cause there will already be a line forming ! read more

Pretty Sweet Co makes amazing confectionaries! I've been ordering from Vicki for over a year now (two years?) I've lost track but she has provided cakes for all sorts of family events, birthdays, co-worker celebrations and she is aways so sweet to deal with. She also makes an absolutely to die for gluten free/dairy free cake! She has a wide variety of treats and cakes for any occasion and can replicate photos I've sent her no problem. I find the prices very reasonable for what you're getting and now that she has a store front location it's so easy to pickup goodies on the daily. We came into their little shop with a photo of what we wanted aesthetically, and they did something very similar! There isn't a much worse way to spend Valentines Day alone because your SO is out of town, sick, and just getting off the night shift. So when my SO surprised me with an order from this place it was a nice little treat. He ordered me a dozen of their mini cupcakes in Chocolate with Strawberry frosting, and when I walked in the place was pretty and the food looked amazing so I had high hopes. Sadly I was disappointed from the get go as the pictures on the website dictated cute little cupcakes with light, but some decoration. What I got was very plain and even messy. But looks aren't everything. When I got home and took a bite, the real strawberry frosting (that did indeed have little bits of strawberry inside) was VERY bitter, almost like a tart creme cheese . To the point I scrunched up my face taking a bite and wouldn't take another. The cake itself was moist and a good chocolate flavor. My SO saw my reaction and told me to return them. Just to be sure I took the other half of the uneaten cupcake to a friend for a second test and she confirmed that it wasn't very good. To the owners credit she did say I could have a refund without any fuss, but after I dropped the cupcakes off and the lady at the front just told me she'd return VIA the invoice I got an email a couple minutes after saying they would need the card information to process it and that I had to call or return (or maybe the email had already gone out and I didn't see it in time). So I ended up making a THIRD stop to this store and at this point just used the credit to buy the in-store macaroons and Sugar cookies because I was just upset and had my heart set on something sweet. I'm glad I did. The cookies and macaroons besides being pretty are neither bitter, nor too sweet and are VERY good. I almost couldn't believe it considering the very gross and bland looking cupcakes. All in all, buy what they sell from the storefront, it's a much better quality in my view. I'll probably be back for a sugar cookie or two sense I live in the area but I wouldn't ever recommend the cupcakes and would probably advice staying away from the custom deserts if they use similar frosting. I also love that they sell ready-made vegan products instead of being custom and many other of the products where dairy free! My experience was disappointing and frustrating at first but certainly had a good ending. There is a reason in my three trips I saw many of the storefront items being sold! I'd say that is where this bakery's brilliance is and if you're looking for cupcakes, maybe try somewhere else. read more

They made the whole vision come to life at an extremely affordable rate. The cookies looked and tasted phenomenal.
