It was bought into work by a colleague for someone's birthday. I had a piece and I have to say it was nice and moist. Not too sweet. One piece is good for me. Don't think I can have too many. I had no choice but to make a joke about it. I also wanted red, white, blue and brown shoes on the cake. But NO white shoes. She did incorporate my request for strawberries, blueberries and musical notes. But that's about it. She told me I should've specified that the cat is blue, not black. So it's MY fault then??? She said she did her research, right? It would have been nice if she double checked with me about the character color while she was making the cake. She offered some discount for a future cake but instead I asked for a small refund since I was just visiting Calgary but she refused, claiming "that the cake you received was as requested." How can it be AS REQUESTED when she didn't get the character color right??? If one really intends to satisfy her customers, wouldn't she do anything to make things right at least?? The only 2 good things (hence the 2 stars) were that we had a cake on my son's birthday and it did look good on pictures except for the black cat. For sure, I won't be ordering from her in my future visits to Calgary and for sure won't recommend her to my friends as well. She said I was the first one to complain about her cake. Well, I hope that she buys herself the book Customer Satisfaction for Dummies (if there is one) and takes the minutest cake details to heart so that I will be her last dissatisfied customer as well.
