Amazing bakery with great donuts and cheese buns. Definitely worth the visit, extremely reasonably priced items. Super friendly staff, definitely will be back again.

Glamorgan Bakery has been around for a long time dating back to 1977. I wouldn't doubt that the decor has remained the same since day 1; it's an old school, no frills, traditional bakery. They specialize in Dutch baking so lots of options including their famous cheese buns, Texas style doughnuts, cakes, breads and pastries. They were out of fresh cheese buns when we came on a late Saturday afternoon. That didn't stop us though; we took a dozen frozen to go. - Cheese buns ($6.00/dozen) - I was gifted two cheese buns to bring back home to try from K. Not much else to say other than they're delicious! Soft, chewy, cheesy with a touch of oiliness to them. I'll have to come back and try a few more things next visit.

The cupcakes we bought today is the best cupcake my family have. The cupcake is soft and moist from inside. The icing on top is not very sweet like the other cupcakes. That is why im doing this review to help spread the word about the bakery. They serve alot of pastries, breads, ready or made to order cakes! another Glamorgan Bakery master piece! chocolate cake!

Always love the cheese buns! I tried the almond tart, donut with raspberry filling and raisin buns today. They are all good, cannot stop eating!

My first visit to Glamorgan Bakery was quite pleasant. The selection is vast, and the treats are definitely tasty! I enjoyed a Texas donut, and got a selection of mini cakes (chocolate, lemon, and chocolate mint) to try later at home. All the cakes were delightful, but I really enjoyed the chocolate cake the most. Moist, yummy, chocolatey the perfect adjectives for this cake. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Tried florentines for the first time here--such a treat! Cheese rolls are divine. Out of the way but worth the schlep. Staff are sweet.

The bad news is, there is no good kouign amann in Seattle or anywhere in the western US (so far, by our calculations). The fantastic news is that there IS stunningly delicious kouign amann in Calgary! I first balked at La Boulangerie because I had bookmarked two other bakeries to try. But I'm so glad we came here. Walking up to the storefront, I took in the quaint outdoor tables and the people enjoying a coffee and brunch. The first language I heard outside was French, which only added to the idea that we were in the right place. It wasn't busy when we walked to the counter at an off hour during the week, but I could see this place being slammed on a nice weekend. Do yourself a favor and take the time to look at all of the treats in the case. I had no idea which one to pick, but I'm so happy I went with the pear marzipan croissant - something I wouldn't easily be able to find at home. The savory breakfast crepes were tasty but could have been enhanced by a sauce on the side - the ingredients inside were a little dry. The Nutella latte was AH-MAZE-ING. Sweet, hazlenutty, but not overpowering. I immediately looked up a recipe for a future attempt to recreate it at home. The standout by far was the kouign amann, which comes in more than one flavor (insert mind blown emoji here). My husband chose a vanilla-filled one. Holy lamination. The layers, the glaze, the crunch. The vanilla cream filling was somehow both fluffy and delicately flavored yet sturdy enough to survive a day in the car. If I could fly back to Calgary every weekend just to buy a single kouign amann from this place, I would. Service was wonderful and we were surprised that that instead of calling our number, the staff walked each component of our order out to us. Highly recommend. Please visit and fulfill all your kouign amann fantasies!

Took the wife down there for a surprise, she got the plain omelet and I got the bacon and egg on a croissant and a london fog and mocha for drinks and two more croissant to go ....... Easy enough to order, the place was busy, and great service but was it $50 bucks good ..... yes once ! :-) My only real question is who the hell pays $6.50 for one croissant? That was nuts - ok maybe for $10-15 in a sandwich like breakfast but NOT for one croissant. If they were the only game in town and you were Jonesing for one ok but no........ As a test the wife went to Costco the next day and grabbed a pack of theirs and to be honest we got 12 of them for $8.00 bucks or $67 cents each. Yes, the La Boulangerie is larger by 20% or so but $0.68 is a far cry from $6.50 for ONE croissant, now in looking at the neighbourhood and the nice cars driving by I get it - but no sorry not for me! Maybe if you were the French Ambassador to Canada and you grew up eating them you might notice a difference in taste or you're a molecular chemist and KNOW - otherwise they tasted the same.
