If I could give this company less than one star I would. Placed an order for groceries stated that…read moreI would be picking it up between 6 and 7 PM. My day got away from me and I knew that I would not be able to get there until the next day so I called customer service. It took me three different phone numbers to get a human and I was told that there was nothing I could do that. My order would be restocked and that I could order it again the next day and pick it up then I wake up this morning and see that my order has been fulfilled and they say that I picked it up five minutes before closing yesterday. They charged me $78.29 and I have no way of getting a refund other than according to their website getting back in my car and driving another 45 minutes to get to them to make a complaint to the manager. So basically because of their mistake, I have to take my phone app, and drive three hours out of my way with my gas money to show them their mistake, all because they understaff, and they have nobody that they can speak to at the store, and nobody is online at customer service on weekends. A store closer said, yup call your bank and dispute if you don't want to drive there. So then I lose a debit card and am forced to update everything on my end. AGAIN this was the Gardner Aldis mix up. Customer service is nonexistent. The prices aren't as great as they advertise them to be. I have to go back, and have them stare at me all slack jawed while they figure it out. Sounds like fun. You know what also is fun? Dealing with the FTC, The BBB, The Attorney General, MA department of consumer affairs.

We placed an in-store pickup order which contained a bicycle for a birthday gift for my child, and…read morelater received an email stating that the item was actually out of stock. My partner was already at the store by the time we realized this, and since the offered free shipping wasn't a workable option for us, he went inside to see what other bikes might be available. To his surprise, there were two of the exact same (easily recognizable/findable) brightly colored toddler bikes sitting on the sales floor that we were just told were unavailable. He was then able to purchase one of those bikes directly in the store. I completely understand that mistakes happen and inventory systems aren't gonna be always perfect. However, it's tough to understand how an online pickup order could be canceled for being out of stock when the exact item was available for purchase in store??? It just feels like no one took the time to verify whether the item was actually available before canceling the order. Disappointing customer service.

I know this was the day before Thanksgiving but if they were not able to deliver, they simply should not have had delivery options available. Because we thought that they were delivering, we didn't go to the store to get the items that I needed for Thanksgiving and for my granddaughter's birthday party which was on Thanksgiving. (I did do a full thanksgiving shopping but had forgotten things). Here it is the day after Thanksgiving and I still have not received my order. After calling customer service, they gave me a $15 food credit which I think is laughable. I understand in the grand scheme of things, this is small potatoes but just wanted to put this out there. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I had to drive through petersham in my travels- not a typical route or regular drive but alas I actually passed this store, noticing the OPEN flag , I slammed a U turn to get a sharply needed caffeine boost and found myself in the most delightful spot in a seemingly desolate places when I say I walked in the door and it felt like - a waiting room to heaven door opened as a really beautifully laid out l, store, restaurant, local craft gallery and mini grocery market was laid out instantly as I floated in here. I took as many photos as a Middle Aged woman is permitted to take without looking like a fool - see the photos- while I waited for my turkey club sandwich on French (highly recommend) and loved every second of it. Ok so we have wonderful local and specialty wines beer, cheeses , pantry items , extremely micro vendors of local sauces, dressings, drinks and a lot more in the refrigerators and a ton of CUTE and adorable hand made functional art and crafts - including these "blind dates with a book" that instant stole my heart (see pics) and made me want to move down the road from this place. Sandwich was lovely exactly what you'd expect from a cute country store and deli but just elevated - and welcomed very much to my stressed and dulled palette To top off off I had probably the best service ever at the counter - like truly inspired me to have a better day every though I have to say it didn't get much better but I can say with confidence my visit to petersham country store was the highlight of my day and I cannot wait to come back and bring a friend for a relaxing morning of books, shopping and coffee here . I was almost overwhelmed with how much there as to take in here but in the best way!!
