In the last couple months of visiting this store weekly and after reading the reviews from a year or so ago , it's gotten so much cleaner, friendlier and better staffed. The people at this location and the other Lebanon location as well are much improved in the past several months. Price choppers deli is amazing in my opinion, otherwise I'd just go to Walmart because their prices are double the size! For example, the strawberries are on sale for 4 dollars for a pound! ON SALE! And Walmarts strawberries are 2 dollars! That's more than double for the original (just by a little). Store has greatly improved. We had stopped going there but gave it another try recently and it's now great again.

This is a comparison to the Windsor, Vt., PC, where I usually shop. Having been up to Lebanon, I can say that this store can teach a lesson to the others in the chain. Prices are high (as with all Price Choppers), but there are very well stocked produce, bakery, and meat departments, and the deli prices were comparable to what I would have found in Hannaford down in Claremont. Service was efficient and the parking here is plentiful. We stopped in for a few specific items, found them fast, and got out with no fuss. Definitely will be back in the next time I'm shopping in Lebanon. read more

I had a great experience in the floral department with Sandra (Lee?). She went over and beyond to help me pick out flowers for a special occasion. She was very patient and helped me pick out the perfect colored flowers for an event that included 80 plus people. One of th biggest and best stores in the upper valley area. A full scale "Super Store" with many departments that include a butcher shop, deli, seafood, sushi, bakery, and wine shop. Great produce and cheese shop too. I love the bakery and the store brands are pretty good quality. Minus 1 star for charging extra to get "cash back" and also for their stupid club card program (only club card members get the sale prices") That totally blows. read more

Stopped by today to buy a few grocery items. While well stocked, the check out was a disaster. Only two lanes open, plus 3 self checkout stations. Each lane had long waiting lanes, no real organized direction, some feeding from two sides. Supervisor admitted that they are short staffed and one was on a break. They also did not have a lane for 10 items or less which we could have used. This is not the first time we experienced this, so we will avoid this store and drive up to Hannaford where we had better experiences. read more

This is a review specific to their bagels-they are delicious and chewy and have a variety of types-from the savory end with different cheeses, to your poppyseed, and the sweeter end if you prefer. So yummy and occasionally, they are on sale. I had one recently and now I am hooked after not eating them for awhile. I go there for the bagels but sometimes check out the store for other things even though it's not my usual grocery store. Staff are nice, too. read more

When in the area, I have come to this store on occasion to pick up last minute groceries, etc. This place sucks! Weird setup inside. Even though they have a decent selection, the prices are insane. I live 20 minutes from Boston, and would pay less for groceries here. This place is up in east bum and costs an arm and a leg. I took 99% of my business away from this store. Their prices slowly crept up over the yrs and now they retract their coupon policy from doubling anything from $1 and under to anything from .99 cents and under. The gas program is nothing to write home about. Do you realize how much you have to spend there to get that $ off a gallon of gas? Do the math people.... Hannaford's is opening down the road from them on 10/1/11, even though I know their prices are on the high side as well, I am giving them a try. Aside from this, I do travel 20 miles south to Claremont to Market Basket. So much more for your $ there. The biggest issue I have with this store is the prices ringing up incorrectly constantly, rude staff members and staff that just clearly don't care. This is the best grocery store around. There selection is great. I especially like their selection of home made bread YUMMY (Try a loaf of the Dakota). I work weird hours so it really helps that they are open 24/7. People are really helpful and friendly too. The biggest bonus is their gas rewards! I Save so much when I fill up! read more

This place is my one stop shop. I love the prices, I love the huge, easy to find, selection of products. Staff is helpful but let me shop on peace. Everyone is friendly to my two kids even when they aren't at their best, the kids I mean. Im very comfortable there and that is important to me. The only reason I knocked off the fifth star is because the bathrooms (which my 3 year old needs every time we go) isn't very clean and the flowers always seem wilted. read more

It was late around 11pm after a long day of work and I had the pleasure of dealing with this individual. He surprised me with just how pleasant and helpful he was. I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience with this individual, James R. Prices keep going up, quality keeps going down. In the past year, I've arrived home, missing paid for items at least 4x...the bagger/cashier overlooked the bag. Whenever I can, I'll take the extra time to shop @ Market Basket. Sure wish we had one in the Upper Valley. read more

Yes, it is kind of pricey, but it's really not that bad and it's the only place you can get half this stuff in the upper valley. Still much cheaper than the CoOps in Hanover or Lebanon. Plus their sushi kiosk is really pretty good -- probably the best place for sushi in the upper valley aside from Yama. read more

A little pricey, but so is every other grocery store in the area. It's located at the end do 12-A so traffic can be a little crazy at times. But being open 24 hours it's super convient. Not my first choice in grocery shopping, but I don't avoid this place either. read more

I was having trouble finding something. An employee walked past me and asked a woman if she was having trouble finding anything. Mind you, this employees had to pass by me to get to her. I don't know if the grey haired guy in the butcher coat thought choosing to ignore me and going straight to the woman was going to give him a chance with the her, but I was not happy. its great that its open 24 hrs for those of us that work night shifts. the prices are not bad for this area the selection in great and the people are nice. I would imagine that in Boston you could prob shop cheaper but then again this is a rural area so obviously not as competitive, however the featured sale items are as good as you can get. Ordered the Price Chopper Thanksgiving dinner a week or two before Thanksgiving. When I went to pick it up the day before Thanksgiving, they did not have our order. After 30 minutes of waiting for assistance, the manager on duty showed up. He was very apologetic. He put a cooked turkey breast with gravy, mashed potatoes, King's Hawaiian rolls, herb dressing, cranberry sauce, and a pumpkin pie in a box and gave it to us free. My name and phone number were written down and I was told that the manager of the department would give us a call on the Friday after Thanksgiving but the manager never called. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed that our ordered was never placed. We expected a whole cooked turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner and instead got just the turkey breast and even though the manager Wednesday night was accommodating, if we do order a Thanksgiving dinner again, it will be from Hannaford's down the road. We will not order a cooked Thanksgiving dinner from Price Chopper again. read more

Price Chopper has 2 stores in town, one in West Lebanon on Rt. 12A and one on the "Miracle Mile". The only miracle is how they can keep two open in one town (Shaws tried for a while but gave up recently). They used to have a good gas rewards program, but about a year ago basically cut it in half, and when you take into account that the couple of local gas stations that honor it always have the highest local gas prices, it is even worse. Also, they used to have a rewards card that gave you all their specials just by using the card, but they made it so you now have to find & clip coupons in their circular ... hoping you will forget. Thats two anti-customer changes they have made. As others have noted, their prices often ring up incorrectly, and recently when complaining (nicely) to an assistant manager at the Miracle Mile store, it was clear that she had no interest in me, she was practically rolling her eyes and I vowed that was it .... there are multiple other supermarkets within a short distance, and life is too short to give your business to a company that craps on you repeatedly. No more Price Chopper for me, it is just a run of the mill supermarket chain that evidently made the decision to screw its customers. read more
