There's quite a bit of parking stalls but just depends on how many games are going on at that area you're headed to. Most of our games this time around are at 14 so just look for the signs. Luckily the few times we've come we didn't need to use the restrooms or even know where they are. Watch the weather. Might be a good idea to bring an umbrella to protect yourself from the harsh sun or intermittent drizzle. Feel for the kids who are playing in the rain like this past Saturday. Thoughtful coaches put up a tent for their players comfort during pep talks or water breaks. You might want to bring a collapsible chair if sitting on a goza(mat) or the ground is not for you. In that case you may need to invest in a rolling cart cuz you'll probably pack some bottled water and snacks too along with your chairs and umbrellas. Good chance to soak in some natural vitamin D and watch or cheer for your favorite player or team.

To tell you the truth I have not stepped foot on the park premises only checked out the park from a distance. Majority of the time I would be with my grandfather as he picks up his lady friend that lives in the senior citizen apartments. I did take notice that the Pilila'au Park has a small playground, a section for the skateboarders or roller skaters, a basketball court, and a area for peewee football or baseball practices. The times that I have been near the park I really have not seen many people at the park. Maybe I'm there at the wrong time of day. I wonder if the children and parents of Waianae still frequent this park? I do know there is a bus stop for residence to wait and ride the shuttle bus.

I attended a birthday pool party at night so all I can remember is the rectangular shape of it. The temperature control is a great enhancement! Location: Situated near Hanalani school. Nice size lot with an abundance of open stalls. Some stalls are not meant to be reversed in, there's a sign. Few vending machines for snacks and drinks. Lifeguard checks the chlorine level every so often. Pool toys seem to be allowed. I brought my sons pool rings and the lifeguard didn't say anything. Great pool overall. I'd come back on days I wouldn't want to risk the chance of swimming in an over crowded pool at the other recreation centers in the vicinity. Why I subtracted a star: Floaties aren't allowed. Including infant ones.. Lifeguard didn't even notice we were blowing it up because he was doing his job by watching those in the pool. I didn't see a sign either. A lady who clearly works at the rec center walked right past us and could have told me straight up. I won't bite.. But instead she told him and then the messenger came to us lol.

I bring my kids occasionally since I work in Makakilo. Nobody bothers. Sometimes there are homeless, but it currently looks cleaned up! The park maintenance does pretty good maintaining this park. C&C could upgrade the bathrooms tho! 2 stalls in women's side, not good lighting, but water fountain works! Always bring your own TP in case...it is C&C parks afterall.

However there's a bunch of randoms that do park here for lunch break or to come chill in their cars or a bathroom break. Both times i came here, there were tow trucks that scout the parking lot making sure cars are using the appropriate parking stalls etc. i do like that The playground is fenced off due to the fact that it is right by the freeway.. by the way the freeway noise does not bother. There isn't a parking lot, but there's lots of street parking all the way around (lower street or upper street and it loops). There is a public bathroom on the upper side of the field closest to the town houses. Even though I haven't really visited this park much, I don't really care for it's unleveled field. We don't normally play at parks on mountains so I'm sure that can't really be helped. I would just prefer my kids playing on a flat field, seems safer.

That's also the downside. We like to blow big bubbles and kick the soccer ball around for fitness with the kiddo. I usually work into the late afternoon so the evening is our preferred time to get out for air. We have to pick our days wisely because most days they have soccer practice and games that take up the whole park. I'm hoping there's a schedule somewhere on the MTA website that can give us better guidance on which parks have practice on what days so we can easily enjoy one instead of bouncing around looking for an open field before the sun sets.

There was a green high apparatus that slowly moved up then sent bucketloads of water down. The force looked significant but Bud kept going back for more. This was not here or not operable the first time we came. This time they added photos of us into their system. Then we were issued our hot pink wrist bands. At the pool the lifeguard said no life vests allowed when he saw it on our beach bag. We stayed at the Baby pool but Bud must have wanted more action and said, "Let's go back to the Splash Pad."

It was pretty tight inside when I attended some parties and baby showers.. but we made it work. I could slide in easily. However parents with strollers and pregnant mommies may feel uncomfortable. Especially transporting a new born upstairs. I would just take the car seat and diaper bag.. The parking lot is very tiny, so with any party, parking on the street in a residential area can be humbug sometimes..
