We've really loved being members at the Kroc Center. The facility is always so clean, organized, and well maintained, and the staff has consistently been kind and welcoming every time we've been there. We love the food area, I personally love using the gym, and my husband, kids, and I all really enjoy the pool and water area. The kids have also had such a great experience with the sports clinics. It's just such a positive, family-friendly environment overall, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the facility and programs. This is a great place! You get access to a gym, a warm swimming pool with lanes, and lots of other water spots for the kids and family to have fun! They always have a few lifeguards on duty, and the pool even has a rock climbing area. How unique! They have a lot of other programs you can sign up for and even do plays sometimes throughout the year. This is in my opinion one of the best recreational centers on Oahu! The staff is awesome here. They are helpful and friendly! There is also a place where they serve coffee and food. Affordability wise, considering the variety of amenities they have including pickleball tournaments and the option for family plans, you get a lot of value much more than you would get with a typical gym membership. We pay roughly $100 a month for a small family and so that's a great value in my opinion! read more

My niece loves this place (this is where she had her 5th birthday party), so we took her there on a Monday during her fall break. We got there at around 9:45, and there was a private group in the water play area, and we were told that we couldn't go in until 10 AM. Once they cleared out, the place was empty so I highly recommend going on a weekday. I've never been on a weekend but my sister has told me it gets super crowded. It's not just for kids though. There's also a lazy river you can walk through or use one the floats they provide. Unfortunately, the big water slide isn't open until later, so we didn't get a chance to check that out. You can't bring food into the center but you can always keep a cooler in the car, leave and come back. They clean the pool from 11 to 11:30, so that would be a good time to get lunch. If you don't want to eat in your car, there's a cafe that serves pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. all for a pretty reasonable price. You don't need to be a member to visit the center. You can buy day passes, which is what we did. It's $24/adult and $20/kid, so obviously not something you want to do every week but fun every once in a while to hang out for a few hours. read more

This is for the volunteers/ workers who work there; NOT THE PROGRAMs ITSELF. There was a couple BAD experiences I encountered with staff in the past years. 1. Last year my kids & I went to the Thanksgiving luncheon that they usually host. It was our first year. Lines were really long. When we got there, the place was already full capacity and were telling families who came later was either told to be turned away or to wait to be seated when there was open seats when people left. Anyway, when we got there we were served our lunch. My kids ate about half of their plates so I ended up combining their foods to take it to go just in case they get hungry later to finish their food. To me, I really hate wasting food specially since there are less fortunate people out there who don't have any food. We saw multiple people taking their foods home to go and mind you there was still tons of families outside still waiting for seats and a hot meal. My kids and I were there for about an Hour and decided to leave since there was still families waiting for a hot meal. When I was taking my plate to go, one of the lady's who worked there stopped me and told ME THAT I COULD NOT TAKE my food home; that they need to trash it. I had told her this is a full plate I'm not wasting the food I'm taking it home which I lived literally 5'mins away in the neighborhood. She told me it was their rules they needed to trash it. Then I told her that there were multiple people taking home plates of food and a couple people just walked passed her without her even stopping them. I pointed it out to her and she did NOTHING TO STOO THEM. I ended up taking my food home with me because I had called her out on it and asked her why she didn't stop the people who was walking out with plates but she only ended up stopping me?! RIDICULOUS!!! 2. Last year, I did the angel tree for my kids. Again, I WAS DENIED TAKING HOME BIKES FOR MY KIDS. VOLUNTEERS/STAFF TOLD ME NO ONLY IF It's the WISH LIST. I'm like well, my kids changed their minds and wanted bikes but MY KKDS WERE STILL DENIED BIKES 3. The ICING ON THE CAKE: this year (2025), I went to angel tree again. As I was checking in, the lady told me I wasn't in the system. When I was checked by another lady in blue, she checked and said I was. The mix up was that the lady who processed my paper work out my dad's name as my last name and not my last name which caused all this mixed up. But when I checked in I literally told the lady my last name is but she went to look on the paper. I told I TOLD YOU BY LAST NAME; not what was on my ticket. These staffs really need to be retrained. Anyways, They decided to do raffles for the bikes. I literally asked the staff that if I got 2 raffles and won, then I to get pick 2 bikes or 1 electric scooter and 1 bike? I was told by at least 2 staffs there that YES I could do that. But only if I won the raffles which I won 2x. So I won an electric scooter for my disabled son and a mountain bike for my daughter. As I was finishing up getting gifts from the kapuna section for my parents, I was told by the same guy who told me I could take 2 of the prizes home that it was a mistake and that he had to given only the electric scooter for me an took back to bike. I low key think they gave it to someone who wanted it to probably someone they knew. All I know is all of the STAFFS/VOLUNTEERS ARE REALLY SHADY WHEN IT COMES TO FAMILIES LIKE ME IN NEED. I dont know what type of operations they are handling and hiring to work at this organizations BUT THEY REALLY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED. I DOUBT THE OWNER/ MANAGEMENT OF THIS ORGANIZATION WILL READ THIS POST AND REACH OUT TO ME TO ALL THE SHADY THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN HAPPENING TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I don't like to blast anyone on social media but I had my final straw of my family being targets by the staff of this organization. The staffs need to be retrained and use common sense. My neice's baby shower was held at the Kroc. I'm tossed in giving them a higher star rating. A few years ago, I attended a birthday party there. This went off smoothly. And everyone had a great time. Today, the kids did have fun. But , the food came out late. Pizza came out first, and fifteen minutes later, the musubis and bento. They give you a strict time limit. So you would think that the food you have to order through them would be on time. So you have time to enjoy. The trash disposal cans were far away from the cabana we were assigned. My brother-in-law brought out a large trash bag to make it more convenient for the guests. The food was average in taste. The pizza was only warm because of the near 90 degrees heat from the sun. Today my niece had her baby shower at the Kroc center run by the Salvation Army . Located in Kapolei actually near the last rail station ha ha . It's like a mini water park with a lazy river ,2 water slides , jacuzzi area and a kids area to play with water guns and buckets filling up and dumping water on you. My niece reserved a cabana area for her shower but it was still hot . By renting Kroc center I guess they have all kinds of party packages. Such a nice facility. Attended a graduation in the theater. Had to be the most comfortable graduation ceremony ever! Clean, air conditioned theater. The chairs were comfortable. The restrooms were big, clean and well stocked. The courtyard is well maintained. My only gripe was parking on the grass. The large rubber things that bridge the curb-to-street gap were kapakahi when I was leaving so I scraped the bottom of my car (sad face). read more

Lazy trash. Terrible hours for the pool and basketball gym. Water doesn't turn on for water playground till 12p. Slides don't even open unless it's a weekend. Basketball court doesn't open till 12p too. Members should have access to the facilities as much as possible. I work in the afternoon and can't access any facilities. It would be so easy to hire a little more people to tend to the facilities at an earlier time. Only explanation is that they're too lazy and cheap to solve these problems. Loved it until they started ignoring concerns of members. They now make you sign up for the group exercise classes. The sign up is at midnight two days ahead of time....by the next morning at 6am Zumba sign ups are already full. I refuse to stay up until midnight to sign up for an exercise class. Just an awesome place for the family to hangout and enjoy the west side sun. Nice size pool and slides for the kids with just the right depth, Not too deep for the little ones to enjoy. Two lazy river channels, with a whirlpool and splash channel. Parents can also get in on the fun. Gym is also available for your summer bod needs lol. Took our kid there for swimming lessons and it was complete trash and a complete waste of money. The instructor had no organized method of teaching and was all over the place with instruction. He watched the clock constantly. He would start until right on the dot. Crazy. And then watched the clock every 5 minutes. Kid walked away without no additional skills. Oh and if you have multiple kids they will charge full price for each but only give one instructor. Scam of the century. Don't do it! Go else where with truly trained swim instructors. It was a Fun Day with our Senior friends at the Kroc Center's Senior Mixed Plate. We played games and had so much fun interacting and making new friends too. Everyone seemed so happy and were surely enjoying themselves. There was Refreshments coffee, sweet tea, and ice water and Bentos too. I was amazed that so many people showed up. Thanks to The Kroc Center, Leslie and Tanya for putting this together. Alot of the people waited a whole year before they came to the Kroc center because of the pandemic. Now since they lifted the masked mandate alot of people wanted to come out and see their friends. Sadly not everyone got a bento to take home because over thirty people showed up and only thirty bentos. Nevertheless we all still enjoyed ourselves. Me and my Ohana are always so excited to come here! This is our go-to spot on a hot day. We love to hang out in the pool! The facilities are always clean, the front desk staff is so kind, and the lifeguards are always on watch. Great for the younger Keiki to play in the kiddie pool, fun for the teens at the water slide/rock climbing wall, and great for adults who want to chill in the jacuzzi or swim in the Olympic pool for exercise. A few pointers: the pool is closed daily from 3-3:30pm for lunchtime. All the fountains and water buckets shut off. The aquatic center I believe is only opened until 5:30pm? Also, no outside food is allowed. They do have a snack shop where they sell food, but it is a little pricey. However, the food is pretty decent. I've been to the gym only a handful of times due to the fact that I have young kids, and unfortunately don't have the time. I do wish they opened the kids watch again, but I think due to COVID, they're still closed. I was planning a last minute birthday party for my son and got a recommendation and attended a pool party at the Kroc. I decided to reach out to Kroc as was responded back quickly by event manager Darlene. We emailed back and forth and she even called me with info and sending emails. It was simple, quick, stress free! She did great in her part in helping me get things done and her staff was helpful as well. It went smooth and as planned. I didn't have to do anything when I got there except have fun host the party. Also, everything was set as far at guest arrival and catering! We attended an event held in the ballroom. I cannot comment on the facilities such as pool, but I will comment for those of you looking for a venue to host an event. My close friend held the event and told me working with the staff was great. During the event staffing was great and so was the service. There were approximately 200 people at our event and everything went quite smooth. All the food was wonderful we all were extremely happy with quality, presentation and quantity. I'm sure not one person left hungry and that no one had anything to complain about. If you need a venue, highly recommend you look at this one. read more

The Kroc Center offers a variety of activities for all ages. I specifically use the youth focused activities for my 10 year old nephew. We are new to Hawaii (today is day 10 on island as I write this review) and I was looking for activities for him to do over the holidays since he wasn't in school. I found the Kroc Center, which offers day camps on a weekly basis. The camps are $130/week and you can choose other add'on specialty camps for an additional $55/week. Initially, I selected and paid for a specialty camp because I didn't know is was an add-on to the regular weekly camp. About a day into the camp, I received a call that I needed to go into the center to pay for the registration. This wasn't a big deal for me however, I wish that was explained better on the site. The facility itself is large and clean. From what I saw, there was an adult gym, an arcade for children and a children's gym. There is also a pool with slides, playing/sports fields, and the grounds are well manicured. There is ample parking and the area was decorated for the season. read more

Worse facility ever! You know Ray Kroc was a snake! No wonder this "family health center" follows in those footsteps! We have had nothing but one terrible experience after another there. The best day I had there was when I was NOT a member; once I became a member, Everything they told me about my membership changed, and mind you, I haven't even been a member for three months. We became members to play pickleball and do things with our daughter. Our friends are undergoing skin cancer treatment, so we wanted to find a place out of the sun. Once we joined, they stopped allowing those who paid for day passes to play pickleball in the gym. During regular open play Pickleball. Then we joined because of the hot tub and told them we joined because our daughter was excited about it. On the first day at the pool, we learned kids are not allowed. Then our service dog was with us, completely behaving while my daughter and I went into the pool. We got "talked to" by one of the lifeguards asking why I went swimming. I'm like because that is my workout, and I can't leave my 5-year-old in the pool by herself. He lectured me on how the dog was supposed to be with me. I could bring her into the pool if you allow it. They said no, so I asked what you wanted me to do with her then. Mind you; she was utterly well-behaved. I Sat down with our stuff and wasn't bothering anyone. Today I asked about putting my membership on hold because I wanted to decide if I wanted to stay there and we'll be traveling. When we joined, they told me I could put it on hold anytime. Come to find out, they want medical documentation or travel confirmation before they allow you to do that. Again, I specifically asked about that because we travel a lot. I was never told that their policy required me to provide proof to them of why I wanted to put my membership on hold. I just wanted to put our membership on hold, hoping they would get their s^%# together and their administration would be better. There were many excuses for why their staff is clueless, lots of apologies, and lots of policy changes; they lost our membership and about six more potential members who decided NOT to join because of the whole Pickleball situation. It's a KROC of crap! Everyone apologizes for my inconvenience and miscommunication, but no one offers solutions. It's supposed to be a "family" friendly facility, but there is nothing for my Keiki to do besides the Waterpark. We have annual Waterpark passes; we didn't need a Waterpark. I still need to find out whether she can come and play pickleball with us; I've asked many times and am trying to get a straight answer. We've even asked to use the outside area and offered to bring our nets to play in the shade. All they tell me is that they'll be monitoring the usage. Meanwhile, they changed their policies based on complaints from a few. But provide suggestions, and they'll consider them. So frustrating! There hasn't been a day since we joined that we weren't harassed and lied to by the staff. They need to be more knowledgeable, aware of their policies and procedures, and refrain from constantly changing them. And Everything costs so much outside of your membership fees., not that membership fees are cheap. It's like going to McD to get your kid a happy meal, then you get stuff for the rest of your family, and before you know it, you've just spent $30-50 on that garbage! I can remember days when we used to be able to eat, the whole family for $20. Happy meals are about $8 now, which no longer includes a drink. That's extra. They went up $2 in the last couple of months. Ridiculous! It costs you over $20 for two people to eat now at McD. Frankly, I'm done supporting them. If you haven't seen "The Founder," you should watch it. That's what KROC means to me. Hypocrites who hide behind faith out to make money for their empire!!! Worse kind of people! Super disappointed! Fun Pool. TERRIBLE Customer Service. The facility is good, so the kids had a fun time. The customer service and management was horrible. Our food came out late so all the kids were super hungry. Even though we ordered a lot of food, I had to buy food from the snack bar to feed some of the kids. Then we were told we had to leave the pool immediately after the party ended. During the planning process, we were told that we could pay to extend the party, but the manager was super rude and was on a mission to make us leave. We had left the party area and were waiting for kids to use the bathroom and change but she brought security to make us leave. Nobody was talking back to her or making a scene of any kind. That was NOT how we expected to be treated after spending a lot of money to have a party there. Regret not having our party at the water park instead. read more

We attend the Kroc Centre daily to access the gym and pool services. The schedule for the water park is a little strange however the kids seem to really enjoy it. Family washrooms are locked until you request that they're opened which is a little inconvenient but a bathroom attendant usually arrives very soon after being requested. The childcare centre is an added benefit of the Kroc Centre, however, it would be better if the daycare fees were included in the price of a membership. Overall, the Kroc centre is great. read more

I appreciate excellent customer service and that is exactly what I received from beginning to end with Brittany Supnet at the Kroc Center. She communicated every step of the way. My event was a celebration of 50 years of life on July 31, 2021. From the reservation process to the showing of the ball room to answering all my many of questions. Brittany Supnet Coordinated with my decorator and was so helpful. The crew during the night of my celebration the staffing was very helpful from directing parking vehicles to directing my guest to the ballroom. Then the service during dinner was prompt and friendly. The staffing were attentive to me and my guest. I am satisfied and will utilize the center again. Love that the KROC center offered their holiday to go meals for Valentine's this year. Went to pick up our meal and the staff was so friendly. Currently going there for swimming lessons for the kids and the instructor is doing really well trying to teach the kids even under covid rules & restrictions. I'm not a patient person so I'm sure the instructor knows when I get frustrated with my child not following instructions or not trying so she takes over. Plus I know my child does better when I'm not there feeling stressed out myself. Hahaha. Our kids also go to the preschool and the staff there are awesome as well. We attended the 1st annual Holiday Craft and Gift Fair back in Nov and A Touch of Christmas in dec. Enjoyed both events and hope to make it back on the next ones even tho parking sucked during the A Touch of Christmas event but expected everyone coming same time to see Santa arriving in a Helicopter. Great to have a cheap to free event to take the family to during the most expensive time of the yr. Craft fair had lots of lovely local vendors and yummy food vendors. just enough food options not to get overwhelmed on making a decision on what to eat haha. A Touch of Christmas was the 1st event I've ever experienced where we could go and enjoy crafting and gingerbread cookie decorating all for free, thank you kroc center. Came here to celebrate my nephews birthday today. We aren't members so we paid for the day pass, It was my husband and I and our 4 month old. We were shocked to hear how much we had to pay and asked if we were paying for our baby as well, they told us yes. We felt like we weren't in the presence as Godliness, I feel as if the policy of paying for children 0-17 is crazy. For me a more reasonable age for payment should be 3-17. So instead of paying $48 we had to pay $68 , it's crazy because you guys are a block away from low income housing . It was a nice time but the paying is ridiculous. read more

Hubby signed my daughter up for the free gifts to kids. Not sure when he signed up but it was a few months ago. They assign times for pick up. Hubby couldn't go but I had to take my daughter instead because hubby worked. Our designated time was Saturday December 17 at 10 am. We got there at 9:45 am and we couldn't get in line until 10 am. The parking to this location was ridiculous. I was lucky to find a spot close by. My daughter and I stood in line for 45 minutes. I learned that kids were not allowed inside but only the parents to the keiki. I had a nice girl guide me as I picked out gifts for my daughter. She told me to pick two small gifts which I did and then two big toys. They literally didn't have any Harry Potter toys or anything. My daughter loves Harry Potter. The other item my daughter wanted was a ukulele. They didn't have that either so I picked out a lot of arts and crafts from the toys and the two small gifts. I know what my daughter likes and got her something she liked. The water and apples my daughter tried were horrible. Not sure if they gave old apples. My daughter said the water tasted like tap water. I didn't even touch any of the water or snacks. I was literally hot standing outside for 45 minutes. I told my daughter to sit down as her feet were hurting. Honestly I wouldn't want to go through this again. It was a nightmare just getting in line and waiting for 45 minutes in the sun. We finally restarted our membership and couldn't be happier. There is so much to offer, it's not just the pool area, but there's also the fitness center, game room and available classes just to name a few. You can also rent to have birthday parties there. We have been to other places and have passes, but wanted to go back to the Kroc Center because of the cleanliness and how much it has to offer, it's not just a water park. There's also a good amount of lifeguards on duty watching for everyone's safety. They clean the water area (pools and play area) every so often (I want to say every so many hours, but I'm not sure), which we don't mind because I would rather have my kids in a clean environment, besides they can enjoy the food there while waiting. They also have a little deli area that you can order anything from açaí bowls, spam musubis to nachos and coffee. We're thankful because we all know that active kids will create hunger. We LOVE this place!. We recently had our daughter's Birthday celebration here, in the water play area. It had 2 slides, a pool, lazy river, splash pad for younger keiki, and a jacuzzi. We ALL had a blast!. Such a perfect place for keiki. Swim area was shallow enough about 3-4ft. The events manager and staff were very helpful, amazing, sweet, and caring. They provided everything, of course there were some extra add-ons, such as, the beautiful pink cake and ice cream cups( all worth it). The cupcakes, popcorn, and cake were delicious. Thank you to the kitchen chef. I loved the paper bagged food( hamburgers, chips, and juice box). Made it easy for guests to take home, if wanted to. All we had to do was show up and follow safety/covid rules. They made it so easy for us, we were able to relax and participate in the fun, too!. Everyone had so much fun! Thank you Salvation Army for providing a safe, fun, and very clean facility. Our daughter's birthday party was at the Kroc Center, we had 3 cabanas. Everyone had fun swimming in the pools, lazy river, and water slides. The food was also very tasty and good! However, I'm giving 2 stars because the staff made the experience very disappointing. There were lots of miscommunication within the organization as well, because some staff members said "balloons are okay!" And some said "no balloons allowed" Then some staff said "we offer military discount" and some said "no we do not offer military discount." - So confusing. Anyways, on the day of the event, the staff that day did not have good customer service, not helpful, and seemed to rush everything. They brought out my daughters birthday cake, but then threw away the cake box without asking. They were trying to clean up tables DURING our party event time. At 4:50-5:00 it is clean up time, we understand this. We had 3 cabanas, with 100 guests. We are going to need more than 10 minutes of clean time. Staff were glaring and trying to rush us out, one staff member even randomly reminded one of our guests that "the time is already 4:55" - They need to calm down and understand that we are all cleaning and making sure no rubbish is left behind, and that if they want to rush customers, then they should be the ones to put away left over food, take down decorations, and clean up the entire event afterwards. Our coordinator was Christine, who was very nice and helpful. Brittany was also another coordinator who was extremely helpful, especially answering questions and helping relay any info to Christine; since they were so busy. Again, our party guests enjoyed their time and had lots of fun. However, as paying customers, the staff were unprofessional and we wish we had a longer event time to relax and have fun, rather than feel stressed, rushed and timed. read more

Was there for a weekend event that included use of the auditorium/church space and ballroom. The staff were very kind, accommodating and helpful. The food was excellent and service was wonderful. Everything went smoothly because of the help of great staff. The venue itself overall is absolutely beautiful and serene. Would absolutely consider using this facility again definitely worth checking it out! read more
