I have never left a one star review until now. I called to…read moreask the reason for a higher price than expected, and was immediately met with an attitude. I explained that my wedding dress was brought down from a 14 to a 2 at a different location for twenty dollars more than what she was asking for a rebuilt dress, and she began talking over me, saying that I shouldn't compare her prices. I didn't get to say anything else, she talked over me the entire time, eventually hanging up. I understand the work that goes into building a dress having done it myself - and I can't do it well! I explained that I can't afford it and I hoped she could work with me. She said she would have if I had come with a different attitude. Which I didn't have, I just wanted a price breakdown and was met with unnecessary hostility. She is now holding my dress hostage, a dress I need to have for a wedding and one I cannot afford right now. When she realized how much work was going in, I think I should have been notified and asked if I could pay that. I was expecting it to be around $150-180 and would have happily paid that amount. Now she's out her due money, and I'm out a bridesmaid dress. I've seen a lot of negative reviews with similar stories on Google. Immediately looking for a fight with anyone is no way to live and certainly not a way to get customers. It's rude, unprofessional, and immature.

I brought the jeans in and requested to shorten the pant and keep the original hem. She agreed and took the jeans. I came in to pick up my jeans the next day. I asked if I could try them on, she just said "do what you want but I can't make them longer". When looking at the jean I noticed that instead of keeping the original jean hem, she just cut and folded over the fabric. Also there were loose threads but that's beside the point. After asking if this was the original hem like we agreed she said "no, but it's the same". I tried to explain that it's not and I asked to keep the original hem. She then told me to sandpaper the edge if I wanted "that look". ????? She then took the original hem she cut out of the trash can and gave it to me to "take home and compare". I came in with a positive attitude and appreciated that she fit me in, but she didn't reciprocate the pleasantries at all. Honestly Betty just made me feel not welcome and a burden for even asking her to hem some jeans. Not sure where she's getting these positive reviews. I'd recommend just buying a sewing machine and avoiding this lady.

Plenty of parking but park to the left of the lot close to the store since Mykonos takes up a lot of space with their customers. There are a lot of stop bumps in the lot for various spaces so you may have to make a complete circle to get out. There's no light on a super busy street so it may take a while to get out especially turning left onto church street.
