Exactly what we needed with no fuss and no surprises, perfect prom dress alterations! We had the dress hemmed, taken in, straps shortened and some stitching on the bust repaired! Everything came out perfect! Service was great! The ladies in there are working their fingers to the bones during prom season and accomplishing amazing work! We will use Harmony again and again. How would you feel if the owner of this business closed down and did not return wedding gowns, etc. to the consumers? After the business closed, the owner informed me that she was doing alterations by appointments. She picked up a new pair of pajamas, 2 pajama tops and a sample pajama set in November. It has been almost 3 months and the owner refuses to return messages and texts. Why is she intentionally keeping my elderly parent's pajamas? Is this behavior professional or psychologically "normal"? In closing, I would never recommend this business. Beware, that the owner has a listing in the yellow pages as Sew N Sew Alterations which seems to be a guise for Harmony Tailoring and Alterations! Please do not call. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE (or you may never get them back)!!! Harmony Alterations continuously lied about when my items would be ready. In the end, they had my skirt and top for five weeks and were unable to complete two simple zipper repairs--a real shame. I brought a jean skirt into them in the fall to have the zipper fixed, had no issues. When I went to put the jean skirt on this spring, I realized that the zipper they had replaced it with was broken as well. So, I brought that same jean skirt along with a cropped tank top in to get their zippers fixed. I brought the skirt and top in around April 13th, and they told me it would be two weeks. After two weeks had passed and I had yet to receive a call that my items were ready, I called them. They gave me an excuse about having a custom wedding dress and promised my skirt and top would be ready within a week. I was okay with that but made sure to mention I was going out of town on May 5th, so May 4th was the absolute latest I could pick it up. I never received a call. I called again on May 11th, and they promised me it would be ready by the 12th. I called on the 13th, and they said they were super busy, and only one person could do it (which... it was two zipper repairs which is alterations 101, so I don't know about that), but that it would be done by the 15th and that they would give me a call. Surprise, surprise, they never called. I walked into the store on the 18th and picked up my skirt and top -- both of which were completely untouched -- and walked out because I was leaving the next day to go home for the summer. She showed no remorse and made no effort to apologize. read more

Took 2 coats to have zippers put in and she had them for 8 weeks! I stopped in every week to find out she still didn't do the work. After 8 weeks I just decided to take them back and have someone else do them. I don't know how she stays in business. read more

Cannot give a review because cannot get these people to answer the phone. I've called over several weeks and phone message is the mailbox is full. Had my daughters prom dress for a month was supposed to be done Monday before prom. I called Tuesday since I didn't hear from them, the lady on the phone couldn't find the dress and had to call me back! She called back to tell me the dress would be done Friday by noon! Well Friday noon (day before prom)came and the dress still was incomplete they had the hem and the shoulders done but were supposed to add pockets and they had not, unhappily we took the dress as it was. Also when we dropped the dress off the lady said the dress would be hemmed just off the floor but we got it and it was at least 4 inches off the floor in the front. Her response was she followed the manufacturer hem line. Sweet lady bad bad business! read more

I took my dress on 7/6 and to date (9/5), it is still not done. I was asked to pay upfront for a job that was supposed to be complete in 1 week. It is now almost 8 weeks later, I have been to get my dress about 6 times and each time, the work that has been done was wrong, incomplete or just very poor craftsmanship. The owner is unreliable and incompetent. The receptionist is not personable and shouldn't be contacting customers. All around it has been a terrible experience. read more

As an adventure guide, I'm tough on clothes. When I find the right clothes for the job that fit correctly I'm beyond happy. My 2 Patagonia pairs of shorts both had rips in the rear. I needed them patched before a trip down the Little Susitna in Alaska and these ladies came to my rescue. Patches wear out, so the next rip I decided to go back. This time I am heading to Cancun and again they outdid themselves matching 2 awesome patches covering the entire rear. Thank y'all so much, again! If you want PROFESSIONAL and EXPERT skills.....Harmony is top notch! A 'gem in the raw', so to speak.... No KIDDING! LSS....I came across a helluva deal on a black leather Harley Davidson jacket. with gold stitching/tooling for $60 at Hospice Thrift Store in Graham (highly recommend, BTW) This is easily a $300 jacket, possibly more brand new. Awesome lines, style and thigh length which fits my style 'to a tee'. ..one of a kind, to say the least. Only catch ....size is XL and I'm 5'2, S.Medium. Ironically enough, waist/bust fit which means whoever Harley gets their leather goods from, runs small so.....only thing that needed work was sleeve shortening. She was referred but this was still a gamble, so to speak, for obvious reasons. When I first spoke to Heather I absolutely KNEW, without a doubt she was a professional since I was previously a Personal Shopper at Nordstrom - Houston Galleria and know 'a little somethin' about alterations for high-end customers. At any rate, not only did she do an outstanding job, but went 'above and beyond'. Let me explain: She went the extra mile and turned frayed lining around arm holes (typical even in extremely high-end clothing) into tiny rolled seams so they wouldn't fray. This girl can do ANYTHING when it comes to custom tailoring, especially when it comes to leather. For those of you who are not familiar with what it takes to alter leather, you have to purchase special machines, needles, etc. to do the job, which she has "in spades". She also offered to add inside pockets and change the inside lining to wool (since I 'ride'). In other words, she can custom tailor ANYTHING! AMAZING....A RARE TALENT! In short, I am pleased beyond belief and the best part is...I made a new friend! She's a hard-working woman, highly skilled at such a young age (inherited gift from her grandmother) and...she happens to be precious! In short, I LOVE HER TO PIECES and truly gifted. Don't hesitate to take your most intricate and complicated pieces to her. There are not enough stars on this review to award her the accolades she truly deserves. read more

The service that I received it this place was just unreasonable. The owner herself takes on too much work at a time and cannot get the commitments out. That's what happened to the dress that I brought in April 1, 2019. I asked for something to be done and I know pacifically what I want it done to the dress explain what I want it done when I came back the dress was totally done the opposite. I was given two different days to come back to pick up the dress. And still when I came back to pick it up I had to wait 35 minutes for the owner to complete the dress. No apology from the owner what so ever did she give me. I even asked her do you treat all of your customers this way. She looked at me with a dumbfounded look on her face. Wow where do I begin? I really thought after she had done something in a previous year and all went well that I would be able trust and rely on her expertise. I thought walking in hearing K Love really represented Heather and boy is that a joke. We were affected by the tornado on 3/18/21 and our awning cover was ruined and being that is was a special ordered awning getting the fabric and awning cover made was a task in itself. I had remembered harmony and so I took a pair of jeans, shirt a pair of shorts and a jumpsuit we we went to ask about the awning. She said the clothes she would have the next week and advised us to get the fabric and bring back to her which we did. She gave us a price and my husband told her it was worth more and advised that he would pay her $50 more. He even ask if she could do it and she said oh yes. Checked back in a week or so on clothes she said they were started but she had a lot of prom dresses (Covid now grant you). Well since the lady that schedules for her didn't put us done. Ok she said check back next week still no so I give it more weeks and then her son was in the hospital (but granted there were weeks in between. Each time I called back excuse after excuse. Her son again back in the hospital then he was out then they got Covid then just recently she was in a coma over the weekend of 10/17 but was at the store on Friday. Speedy recovery ya think? I called her last week told her I would check and that was the story. She advised that she just couldn't handle something that big now and that she was closing. I confirmed "going out of business"? She didn't say but sure did imply. So again clothes not done and no awning after 7 months. A poor excuse for a business owner. It's sad when you ask her how she would feel if someone done her that way? I even ask why could she not just pick up the phone? I said how do you think that looks? Her answer she doesn't think like everyone else. If any one has any recommendations for someone that is a true seamstress by all means please provide information. DON'T GO! read more

Great service! I picked up my dress from another seamstress after she had it for over 2 months and nothing was done, brought it to harmony and she had it ready in 5 days just in time for my wedding. I brought my wedding gown in to heather 3 months ago for a fitting. We scheduled an appointment ( 3 mo later) for me to try on and pick up. I live 3 hrs away and had to take the day off work to come back. I was so excited to see the outcome! I called Heather a few days prior to the appointment to confirm. She said everything will be ready and we're good to go! I arrived that day to not only find that she wasn't there, but SHE HADN'T EVEN STARTED ON IT!!!!! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT, SOUND MIND DOES THAT!!! Do NOT take your garments to her! She is a scammer and BEYOND unprofessional. She didn't have the human decency to call me the day before with the truth. WHAT A COWARD!!! I dropped off 4 pairs of jeans for my husband almost 2 weeks ago. The lady that took my information said they would have them done by the end of the week. They were going to charge 10.00 a pair....which I thought was a little steep, but willing to pay because obviously I have no idea how to hem pants. I called this past Monday to check on them. When I called the lady that answered the phone seemed to have no idea where the jeans were. She put me on hold and I could hear her talking to someone in the background and it made me uneasy like they had lost them. She came back to the line and told me she would take care of them now. My husband stopped by there today to see the status because yet again I did not get a call. They couldn't find his jeans AGAIN!!! The shop was covered in bags and racks of clothes all over the floor. She finally found the pants still in the bag I dropped them off in undone. He was not a happy camper at this point and just took the pants. Put simply, NEVER go to Harmony Tailoring. Their customer service was absolutely appalling. I brought in items and was quoted a date two weeks out for pick up. When I went to get them, the shop had up and moved without even a phone call. Due to their move, they used it as an excuse as to why my items were not completed. I was then promised they would be done the following morning. I arrived and was told to come back that afternoon. End of the day was approaching and I had not received a call. When I phoned back Heather said she was still not done but would have everything completed first thing in the morning. When I arrived the following morning, the items were still not completed and come the afternoon there was still no change. I took the items back and will never be returning. On top of it all, my shirt was returned to me in tatters. I have never experienced anything like this. Its disgusting and no one should trust her with your garments. read more
