I have never NOT had a job. However, in April, I finally resigned at my previous position. I never knew how to job search without getting frustrated and feeling helpless. I realize there are many folks out there who go months and months, even years, job searching. I had heard only the "shady" and negative things about staffing agencies. However, as a workaholic, I started feeling anxious about my job search. I had only been doing it for about two months. Then, about a week and a half ago, I received a phone call from someone at PrideStaff. She said they had clients looking for people with my background. I was going through a death in the family and dealing with funeral arrangements and the agent, Brittany Sabatini, was very understanding. Brittany sent me an email with a link to her calendar, letting me know that I could schedule for a time, anytime that she is available. I scheduled my meeting with her online. I met with her and she followed up the same exact day with a thank you email. Then, we kept talking via email for the next two days in which she presented a few opportunities to me and requested my permission to submit my resume with the clients. I, of course, said yes. However, on Tuesday of this week, I was feeling discouraged. Not due to my job search with PrideStaff, but just due to being out of work for two months. Literally an hour after expressing my thoughts to my husband, I received a call from Brittany saying there is a position available in my area of experience. She scheduled me for an interview with them yesterday. Before I went in for my interview, Brittany went in, first thing in the morning, to scope things out and describe the environment to me. She was very encouraging and positive. After my interview, I called Brittany explaining that the interview went very well. She had a better feeling about it than I did because she immediately asked me for a thank you note to the individuals that I met with. I drafted a nice letter, sent it to her, she sent it to them and not even four hours after my interview, Brittany called me to say I had been selected for the position. Not only did Brittany shared in my excitement, but she stated that they wanted me for direct hire-- not temp to hire. Today is Thursday. Yesterday was my interview and only an opportunity for a job. Today, Brittany provided me with my start date for my new job. I can't thank Brittany enough. If it weren't for her, I would still be interviewing and job searching. Thank you Brittany. This is about seven months overdue, however I just wanted to take a moment out to thank the people who helped me acquire a job with a great company. Last year I was having an extremely difficult time finding a job with livable wages so I thought I would take a chance with a staffing company. I applied for some obscure job through their online portal and within 24 hours I received a call from Cristina Dumea. She was very upbeat and positive while going over my schedule and expectations. She agreed to go over paperwork and talk through some specifics during my lunch hour which was extremely helpful. Within a week of meeting Cristina, I was employed with a shockingly good fit. To make the experience even better, every time I needed to go into the PrideStaff for a check or to sign a form, the staff was always professional and happy to help. I've been fortunate to have got into a career path that I love at a young age - painting. I also been the type to take my work serious and always be better prepared for the next day! Unfortunately I lost my job due to a lay off in February of 2019. I never thought I'd use a temp agency to help me get back on track, but I did. I have worked through several employment agencies and I have to say that this has been the best experience that I've had so far. From Brittany, the Receptionist, who was so very friendly, patient, and kind. I've had to call back a couple times and each time she's greeted me with a smile.
