I understand that there aren't many jobs available, but constantly submitting more and more information without receiving any feedback is making me wonder. She threw in my face I am calling her for a job so I need to speak a certain way! Wow. I just asked her whom am I speaking to, so I could remember her name. I have been working at Pride Staff full-time for 2 months. They Work quickly, care what you have to say, and have your best interest in mind. If you have an issue, they resolve it quickly. More pay than most contracting companies too. Advice to Management: Everyone at work Knows Pride Staffing name because of a simple gesture. They bring in food every now and then. I worked with this firm back in October. About two weeks in, my recruiter, one of two technical recruiters, told me he was about to leave. I was a little worried, because I felt that the recruiter wouldn't be able to work for me with one foot out the door. It wasn't too bad because the other technical recruiter had more experience. Then, a few weeks later, the other tech recruiter told me he was leaving. Yikes. For several weeks, there was no technical recruiter. Then, they hired a new guy. These people are your friends! The staff here are welcoming and so kind, they will help you get started. I been sending out my resumes and got no calls back or anything. I was looking for a normal part/full time receptionist job and I had background of experience. I talked to ANGIE, sent her my resume and she helped me with the rest. Before long I got temp jobs and interviews. They call you when they have found something for you, it's nice to have temporary jobs in the time being because it brings a little cash into your pocket. I worked for Levi Stadium, a charter school, and receptionist for a software company. They will definitely find you something and send you out there. They build confidence in you because they believe you can do it. They will call and also email you to confirm with you the details for the job/ job interview. I would say all the jobs they have found for me was quite entertaining and I enjoyed them all. Even after an interview, they will want to hear how it went and they will receive feedback from the companies or places that you have interviewed for. I did not score a receptionist job for one of the companies they sent me out for an interview to. The reason was that I shouldn't be too honest during the interview and should maybe not mention some things. I guess I got a bit carried away and talked about dead people. I will preface this by saying I have worked with several agencies for different kinds of work throughout my college years. This was the worst experience I've had to deal with. I went to the office and talked with a seemingly nice lady named Laney who appeared super fun and promised to help me find work after I returned from a post-graduation trip (one week). I tried calling the office 3 times afterwards and the front desk people were way rude to me saying there were no jobs available each time. I eventually emailed Laney directly and received a response saying she'd (again) find me work as soon as possible and then no responses... I consider myself pretty marketable. Good experience with reputable companies etc. Met with a recruiter almost a year ago. Did nothing for me. I ended up finding a job on my own. Now, a year later, I placed a call to this office yesterday. The original recruiter that I had worked with in the past was no longer there. I had to say many times that I am already registered in the system b4 the receptionist bothered to check. And, sure enough, there I was! Recruiter I was assigned to never called back. Called again today, receptionist had to take my name twice, seemed disorganized. Again, "yes, I am in the system." A representative from this company came into my office, to let me know that they provide temp admin workers and also do engineering recruiting. Since I work with engineers, I asked her to tell me more about how they do their recruiting, do they have companies sign exclusive contracts, or do they provide free resumes, and we only pay if we choose to hire one of their referrals. I would think that this is a rather basic question, but she didn't know the answer. She seemed to actually know very little about staffing, engineering or her company in general. I did give her my card, and she called me several weeks later, and started on the same spiel that she rolled out when she came in. The job requisition ended up closing, or so PrideStaff told me. If I could give 10 stars I would! What could I say about Pridestaff? I've worked with temp agencies in Oregon before and it always felt very cold and disconnected. Not with Pridestaff, from day 1 (interview day) they have been nothing but absolutely friendly and genuine. Tarah is a sweetheart and has been working so hard to find and get me a position that fits well with my schedule and skills. She's been nothing less than an angel and a blessing. Melissa and Mia as well as Laney are a blast to work with, they're positive and so upbeat that you can't help but feel like the day is going to turn out incredible. They're all also so very very patient, when I messed up on my timecard or have a hard time finding my way to certain jobs, they never get irritated and instead give me the correct course of action and support. I've been with them for a little over 2 weeks and they've found me 3 very fun and interesting temporary part time positions (office work in SF, pumpkin patch decorating and even work at Levi's stadium during the 49er games!) Recently, they even got me a permanent job working with low income families with pretty darn good pay! This is a staffing agency that is based in San Jose, Ca. They help place job seekers into a well acclimated career field based on a your resume and experience. My partner went through the agency to find a job. It took the agency over a year to reach out to him after the initial inquiry. He was then told to come in for interview to asses his skills and needs. After a while, he was told they they found a temporary to permanent position at an apartment complex. The position apparently was a full time janitorial position with a schedule from 9-5. Sounded perfect. Pridestff only gave him one day notice and he as told to show up at the job site the next day. Once he showed up, the apartment manager said the position had been filled and that there should have been a better line of communication between the agency and him. The apartment manager apologized but there was nothing he could do. This whole thing was very unfortunate and traumatic. Because of PrideStaffs promise of guaranteed placement, my boyfriend turned down another job that conflicted with this. I would not recommend this agency for job seekers. When I first came in I was greeted with a warm welcome from all the ladies there, which lay the foundation of my experience at PrideStaff. They had me go through an interview, and while it didn't exactly go as planned, my interviewer (and future rep) Anh-Thu gave me excellent advice and a couple days later I was offered work. I was recruited by a girl named Ahn Thu, at first she seemed to be very sweet and professional. I appreciated her follow up with me in regards to a position she thought was a great fit for me. However, I spent over 10 hours in interviews with this specific company and several online tests I did from home over a span of THREE weeks. She did keep in touch and followed up throughout this dreadfully long process though, and I appreciated it tremendously. I had a current job with job security at the time but it was only 28 hours a week, so when spoke with Ahn Thu, I was VERY clear that I needed FULL TIME at 40 hours a week in order to quit the job I already had. Not only was I specific and clear about it, I reiterated it to her MANY times. She repeatedly assured me that this was a full time, 40 hour per week position she was trying to place me with and that it was also direct hire. When she told me me I got the position she seemed just as excited as I was and I thought that was nice. So I quit the job I had and thought things would be great as I believed all of the things that she said and promised me about this position. Then I start the position and her perky, sweet demeanor changed and she wasn't as friendly or sweet anymore. She mentioned that I needed to be flexibly as the schedule changes every two weeks and that I would be working some Saturdays but she assured me it was still full time. So then I get my schedule for the first two weeks...it was BARELY 30 hours!! I mentioned it to her and she stated that it was because I was training and had to be scheduled when the person training me was scheduled...this was NOT mentioned before I accepted the position!! Not once!! So I asked the lady whom was training me how many hours she got per week, keep in mind that she's been there for two years, and she said she only gets about 35-37 per week. Then I find out from another person whom went through PrideStaff with Ahn Thu, that they were also promised 40 hours a week and was told they would be hired direct after 3 months...5 months later they were still not hired direct and still not getting the 40 hours as promised by Ahn Thu. I was also informed that when you go to mandatory office meetings they cut your hotly pay rate down to $10 and hour! (VERY ILLEGAL) Obviously I was very disappointed and feel like Ahn Thu had been lying to me this whole time just so she could place me and get her commission. Then not only was I not getting the 40 hours a week as promised, they started cutting my hours and said it was due to over scheduling people to come to work that day, or that they didn't have enough patients scheduled to need me. I informed Ahn Thu that this was not what I was promised and all she could say was "It sounds like you're not happy with that", um, NO KIDDING!! She also tried telling me that 30 hours a week is full time, I then informed her that she was incorrect and that full time is 32 or more hours per week and that I was VERY specific that I needed 40 hours a week and NO LESS. I quit the job I already had ONLY because I needed more hours. Had I been told the TRUTH I would never have quit my current job and I could've kept looking for something that actually was 40 hours per week like I wanted in the first place. Ahn Thu's attitude became extremely unprofessional and nothing like it was previous to placing me in this position. Also, when I got my first paycheck PrideStaff shorted me a dollar an hour for the hours I worked, she said she'd fix it and that was last week, I still have not yet seen the money that they owe me after shorting me. I then went to work on Thursday and after two hours was told there was too many people working that day and not to take it personal, "it is just the nature of the business", and that they would have the agency call me if they needed me to come back on Friday as they may have too many people working that day as well. I hurt my shoulder and got a doctors note for Friday and informed them I would not be in but that it should work out as they stated they didn't need me to anyways. Then I get a call from Ahn Thu and she stated that my services at the dental office were no longer needed. By the California Labor law, when terminated they have to pay you your last check IMMEDIATELY!! I informed her via text and email of that today and she will not get back to me. My advice to to all the job seekers is that if you do go through PrideStaff, DON'T go through Ahn Thu, and make SURE to get all of their promises about the position they place you in, in writing! I would certainly NOT recommend anybody to go through this company, nor would I ever go through them again based on my experience with this girl and all of the lies I was told. I am extremely disappointed and have never been treated this way by a so called professional staffing agency before. The name "PrideStaff" is certainly not deserved as long as she is employed there, because there is no pride in lying to people. read more

Would NOT recommend this agency to anyone wanting to end up with a full-time job. Cynthia WAS great finding me a job on the spot when I signed up with Pridestaff, but it went downhill from there. I ended up loving the position and soon they wanted to hire me. I was told I had to be a temp for two months to get hired in Sept 2013. This then moved to "maybe October," according to Cynthia, then January 2014. Basically pushing the date further and further to take more and more of my money when I could've been getting paid at a higher rate. Cynthia also spoke to my manager saying I was "fine with this arrangement" when I had never once said that. Even when I called to complain about the situation to Pridestaff and asked for someone above Cynthia, they sent me to her anyways which consisted of her telling me that "everything will work out, you're still new you don't know what you want." Overall, very frustrating experience with this agency and I've been spreading the word and making sure none of my college friends go through Pridestaff. read more

I was excited to find pride staff as an outlet to help me search for a job more suitable for what i am looking for. I have a part time job, but figured this would help lead me to better career opportunity. A girl named Tina from San jose called me and asked me to come in for an interview and I told her I would have to get back to her due to my work schedule. Unfortunately I called back 5 days later and when she answered I apologized and asked if I can still schedule an appointment and she asked "What do you want to do." What an unusual question from a person who's job is to help you out. I then repeated myself and said "set an appointment" and in a rude way she said "OKAYY." She said Monday /Tuesdays were her only openings and since I couldn't make it those days she said she didn't know what else she can do for me.She said when I was ready to "get down and dirty" I can call back. The reason I called was to get the ball rolling and set an appointment, so she was totally befuddling. I understood that it was my fault that I was not able to attend at those given times, but she is really in need of an attitude check if she represents a staffing company. Tarah Dionisio is a HORRIBLE person to work with. She's unorganized and completely unprofessional. Long story short, I was in an accident. She requested documents in regards to the accident as well as paperwork allowing me to return. Before I could get the paperwork to her, she assigned me to a job to (in her words) "cover her butt" because she needed someone there asap. I agreed, she told me just to get the paperwork to her right after my assignment was finished. I not only did the assignment for her, but she also put me in charge of gathering everybody else's hours that worked on the same assignment & then turn them into her at the end of the week. I finished this assignment successfully with her thanks. I called her again the following week to turn in my clearance paperwork as well as to see if there were any other positions available. She had to audacity to tell me that she no longer felt comfortable with putting me in any of her assignments due to me missing work for my accident. SHE NEVER EVEN TOOK MY CLEARANCE PAPERWORK FROM MY ACCIDENT!!!!!!!! But I guess it's okay because I covered HER ass by accepting the assignment. I applied with Pridestaff in May. The next day a recruiter called me and told me she had an immediate position. She asked me to come in right away so I rushed to get ready and was there @ 4:45 pm. Once, I arrived she told me she was sending out my resume to the customer; she had me do a video as well. I never heard from her again; I actually had to call her several times and ask her the status. The receptionist said she was in a meeting everyday. She never sent out my resume to the customer. I don't know how long she has been a recruiter; however, her professionalism surprises me. I called again and now she is stating "We have jobs but stated nothing with your experience." I asked her does this have to do with age and she stated "We do not descriminate against age" I do not believe that statement. I will not be calling this San Jose Agency again.
