I'm so in love with my hair!! Stumbled upon prim and proper through their Instagram which had their valentines deal for balayages at only $145! I immediately booked my appointment with Briyanna and can say I've never been more satisfied with my experience. I asked if we could bring up the bleach and make my hair ashier and she said we'll try to get my hair as light as possible so the ash could show through more. And wow she did such a great job! I've been to other salons before but none of them was able to lift my black hair as well as she did. She was extremely professional, patient and had a positive attitude towards my hair which is know is very long and thick. She put a lot of care and didn't rush the process at all despite it being past closing time. Ask for Noey, you won't be disappointed! Remember to book her ahead of time, because she has a pretty full schedule! But she still managed to be very easy to reach via text! I texted her a week or two ahead of time and was able to book her for a haircut. She was super helpful, and was able to provide me an estimate. The salon is located in a huge parking lot, so parking should not be a problem at all. Although I did drive into the wrong plaza, but when you do find the place the signs are huge so you can't miss it. The salon was clean and cute, and very comfortable to be in. Noey was right at the register when I went in, so didn't have to wait at all. The place even had a little lounging section! So I asked for a textured cut with a little layers, and she did exactly what I asked! Noey was super sweet and nice, she asked a lot of questions, making sure I was okay with everything she was doing! She took her time, and was very detailed oriented. After an hour, I walked out with a fresh new haircut! I came here a couple of times based off of the recommendation from a friend. The stylist I saw was very nice and did a great job getting all of my ends. There were a few hiccups, like running late or other issues, but to me the biggest problem was salon cleanliness and sanitization. I'm about 95% positive I got lice from this salon a few months ago. I hadn't spend any time around children, hadn't touched heads with anyone, and noticed while at the salon that there wasn't any of the blue sanitary liquid (barbicide) at my stylist's station or being used to clean tools. While I can't say that this is definitively how I got it, I'm not sure how else I would have and I thought it was very strange to not see my tools being cleaned before they were used. I booked an appointment with Noey for a Balayage & Cut and let me just say, SHE IS A MIRACLE WORKER. I've had my hair already bleached for about 6 months when I came in. And as soon as I walked in she greeted me and went into our consultation. She took a look at my hair and asked me what I wanted and knew exactly what to do with my concerns. She was so friendly and welcoming and asked me questions while doing my hair! She made sure I was comfortable at all times and every time she did something, she would ask if I was okay or my opinion. I had a styling appointment with Hannah and although she was friendly and nice, I did not like the outcome with my hair. First of all I felt like she barely touched my hair when washing it, she really only scrubbed the hairline. I hated how the curls came out, if you can even call them curls. It was like the top part of my hair was waves and the bottom half was straight, I checked out her instagram and it seems that's the only hairstyle she knows. She barely put product in my hair, only hairspray. The end result looked fried with many fly aways. I couldn't even run my fingers through my hair. This will be my first and last time at this salon. I went here on 12/11/18 for a balayage on my dark brown/black hair. A little about my hair: I had my hair darkened blue-black with henna 1 year ago. And obviously, it's been faded away long ago since then, and now my hair is back to it's natural color. Plus I've been maintaining a short bob haircut until recently when I decided to grow it out, so I've been trimming off the hair that's been affected by henna. I was styled by Krystal, who is a really friendly person but I think lacks skill and knowledge. It felt like she didn't put effort or care into my hair, and it definitely showed at the end result. My hair turned out ALMOST UNCHANGED from my original hair color, which I paid $170 for! I feel like she styled my hair in waves that day to cover up what a mediocre job she did. Even my friends thought I haven't gone to the hair salon yet after my visit! I would expect a professional stylist to have the skills and knowledge to be able to treat all kinds of hair thrown their way, such as dark hair, henna, boxed dye, etc. I called the salon on 12/18/18 inquiring about my hair, and I spoke to Allison, the owner. She told me that with henna, results aren't guaranteed, and made all sorts of excuses about henna. She kept interrupting me, and wouldn't let me speak on the phone. If she would have let me spoken, I could have told her that I used henna to darken my hair to a blue-black color, not lighten it. The blue-black color is pretty much nonexistent on my hair now. She also told me that if I wanted it to be fixed, her salon will charge me another $170 for it. My friends heard my phone call with Allison (my phone wasn't on speaker too), and could hear her interrupting and raising her voice at me, while I stayed calm. Allison told me I was welcome to come the the salon again so she could take a look at my hair, but I was too uncomfortable with the way she talked to me on the phone, and I didn't want to bring my business back to people who didn't know what they were doing. I was referred to another salon 40 mins away by my longtime friend who has been going there for years, and the stylist there was able to make my balayage idea happen! She put a lot of care into my hair, and worked hard for 4 hours but charged my the same price. (If you look through my profile, you can see my review for that salon and a picture of my hair) Krystal only spent 2 hours on my hair and it definitely showed, because after a month since my visit here, my hair color looked patchy. I made the mistake of paying $170 in cash that day. I should have paid with credit card so I can dispute the charges and get a refund, saying that I wasn't given the service I had requested. read more

In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt so great. On a couple of occasions I was forced to use two other beauticians from other salons. Even though I looked up the reviews they did not even come close. In my case I will travel from wherever I am to schedule an appointment with Lindsey so I know my hair is properly taken care of.
